The recipe for salad with squid, egg and cucumber is one of my favorites. Cooking it is simple and fast, no special ingredients and culinary skills are required for this. The main thing is not to digest squids, this is delicate product who does not like prolonged heat treatment.

There are many options for preparing a salad with squid. For me personally, squid salad is the most delicious with egg and fresh cucumber. Ingredients:

  • 400 g squid
  • 2 cucumbers
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 bulb
  • 4 tbsp. l. mayonnaise
  • 75 ml purified water

How to cook a salad with squid and egg and cucumber:

First, prepare and pickle the onion. Let's clean the head white onion. Cut it into thin half rings. Let's put it in a small bowl. Sprinkle with sugar and pepper mixture. Add a few cloves for flavor. Pour boiling water, add vinegar and leave to marinate for 15 minutes.

Hard boil the eggs for 9 minutes. Cool, peel, cut in half and cut into strips.

Now let's take a look at the squid. If you are using frozen seafood, it must be thawed before room temperature. Then wash the squids thoroughly. We put them in a deep bowl, pour boiling water over them, then immediately transfer them to a bowl with ice water. Due to the sharp temperature drop, the squid skin will curl up and be easily peeled. Remove cartilage and entrails, once again thoroughly rinse our main ingredient under running water.

Then put it in a pot with cold water and put on fire.

After boiling, boil the squids for 30 seconds, then turn off the heat and leave them in hot water for 10 minutes.

Thus, the squids will not be digested and will turn out tender. Then throw them in a colander and cut into strips.

Wash cucumbers. We cut them in the same way as the rest of the ingredients. If desired, the vegetables can be pre-peeled to make them more tender.

Then we combine all the ingredients for the salad in a deep bowl. Pour chopped seafood, boiled eggs and cucumbers into it. Strain the onion from the marinade and add it to the salad bowl.
