For cooking, it is better to take a broiler chicken carcass weighing no more than 1.5 kg. A chicken with this weight is better saturated with apple juices when cooked. It is better if the bird was chilled rather than frozen (this is ideal).

Wash the bird carcass thoroughly. I check to make sure there are no feathers. I check that all the giblets have been removed (my chicken was initially gutted).

In a plate I mix vegetable oil, honey, salt, black ground pepper, thyme.


I rub the chicken carcass with this mixture and place it on a baking tray.


My apples. Cut 400 grams of apples into quarters. I remove the core. I set the rest aside. Then I cut each quarter in half crosswise.

If the top of your chicken is starting to brown too much, place a small piece of foil on top to prevent the breast from charring.

The apples we used to stuff the chicken can also be eaten. Serve the chicken by placing poultry meat and baked apples on a plate.

If you are serving chicken for a holiday table, you can additionally bake some apples and decorate the chicken with them when serving. That's what I did. The remaining 300 gr. I cut the apples into slices. I put it in ceramic molds and bake it with the chicken for 15-20 minutes (if, of course, the size of the oven allows you to squeeze it all in at the same time). Apple selection
