Homemade pickled mushrooms (if you don’t have your own, take fresh champignons or oyster mushrooms) fry with onions in oil.

Chop the garlic and grind the nuts in a blender.

  • Greens, salt - to taste
  • Mayonnaise or dressing sauce

Reading culinary recipes, it’s amazing how many overseas fruits are used for cooking. But we have very tasty and universal product, which is unjustifiably forgotten - apples. This one is small delicious fruit can be used from desserts to wine preparation. And it’s not worth mentioning how many vitamins it contains.

How to prepare a salad?

We offer to cook delicious salad with chicken, cheese and apple. It will take a minimum of time and ingredients, but the taste will be finger-licking good!

How to prepare this salad? Very simple! Let's start with preparing the products:

  1. Boil the potatoes. If you plan to serve potatoes as a side dish, then boil one more potato for the salad, so as not to bother later.
  2. Boil the eggs. To prevent them from cracking, place them first in cold water, and then put it on fire.
  3. Divide the meat into pieces and boil. You can use fried meat, then the taste of the salad will be more piquant.
  4. Grate the cheese. In principle, you can use any cheese, just hard grade, unlike soft, it is easier to rub and will not lie in lumps.
  5. We do the same with the eggs and leave them on a separate plate.
  6. If you fried meat, chop it finely; boiled meat can simply be torn into small feathers.
  7. Nuts must be chopped and mixed with meat. The method of grinding does not matter, you just need to take into account that nuts crushed with a hammer are not as fatty as nuts twisted in a meat grinder.
  8. Grate the apples and sprinkle with lemon juice so that after 20-30 minutes the limp, incomprehensible brown ingredient does not peek out of the salad. Add finely chopped onion to this.
  9. The last stage In preparing the products for the salad, you will need to mash the potatoes, open the mayonnaise and chop the greens.
  10. Now for the fun part - assembling the salad. We will lay it out in layers. Each layer should be greased with mayonnaise and lightly salted. The first layer is chicken with nuts, then we put an apple with onions, eggs and lastly cheese. After this, we start with the first layer, finishing with cheese. We do not grease the last cheese layer with mayonnaise, but simply decorate it with herbs.

Nuts in this recipe are not an essential product, so if you don’t like them, just don’t put them in the salad. So, when you see them in the recipe, you shouldn’t deny yourself the pleasure of preparing this tasty, and most importantly, quick salad.

Choose the apple variety according to your taste. Sour apples will make the taste of the salad more piquant, and sweet ones will give it softness.

If you immediately add onions to the grated apples and close with a tight lid or cling film, then you don’t need to use lemon juice, the onion will prevent the apples from darkening.

This salad doesn't have to be served in layers. You can place independent mounds of the following components on a dish: meat with nuts, onions with apples, eggs, cheese and pour mayonnaise over it all, and ceremoniously mix everything at the table.

Original version

In one video we saw another version of this salad, but in original presentation. We will need the same products, only the preparation process is slightly different:

  1. Cut the boiled meat into small cubes.
  2. We also cut the onion into cubes and pour boiling water over it for a minute to remove the bitterness.
  3. Separate the eggs into whites and yolks. Three yolks on a grater, cut the whites into cubes.
  4. We also cut the pre-peeled apples into cubes.
  5. We cut the cheese into the same cubes.
  6. Set 4 whole walnut kernels aside and chop the rest.
  7. Now put all the products except the yolks and nuts in a bowl and mix with mayonnaise.
  8. We put the salad on a dish and shape it in the shape of a turtle, decorate it with yolks and crushed nuts, and use mayonnaise to draw a shell.
  9. You can not only soak the onion in boiling water, but also marinate it in vinegar, then the taste of the salad will be a little sharper.

It turns out very tasty if you replace boiled meat with smoked meat. You can use your imagination and try to complement the salad with some other product. As one of the options, you can use not chicken, but boiled beef.

For those who cannot live without exotic foods, replace apples with pineapple or citrus fruits. Mayonnaise is also not a panacea. Make your favorite roux recipe.
