Coffee frappe Is a variety of cold thick cocktails that include coffee, ice cream, cold milk, a variety of fillings and fruit and berry syrups.

The history of the drink

The story - at least according to legend - of the emergence of this drink seems rather amusing. In 1957, at the annual international fair in Thessaloniki, Nestlé represented New Product for kids - chocolate drink, which was prepared by dissolving the powder and mixing it in a shaker with milk.

Company employee Dimitrios Vakondios used to drink instant coffee. During one of the breaks during his work at the fair, he wanted to make himself his favorite drink, but could not find hot water, so he came up with the idea of using a shaker to make coffee.

He took instant coffee, granulated sugar and water, stirred up the whole thing in a shaker, and the first coffee frappe appeared to the world. Over the years, he argued that he still cannot understand how a simple experiment led to the most famous cold drink in Greece.

In general, it has recently become customary to combine coffee, ice and cream, calling it different words. So, putting frappe and cappuccino together, Starbucks coined and patented the word frappuccino.

According to the Internet, frappuccino is one of the ten most popular non-alcoholic cocktails the world.

Abroad of our Motherland cold coffee is already practically ranked among the "cult", and in summer time When ordering coffee from the waiter, you will have to clarify: cold or hot?

In our country, iced coffee is just beginning to win hearts. It is quite justifiably called a “fusion” drink: everyone prepares it in their own way, without a definite classic recipe.

True, traditional coffee frappe includes the following essential ingredients:

- doppio (double espresso from 14 g of fine coffee and 50-60 ml of water);
- milk (3.0-3.5% fat, cold) - 100 ml;
- ice cubes - 3-5 pieces;

Obviously, the secret to a delicious coffee drink depends on the "right" espresso.

A classic espresso recipe: a seven-gram coffee tab, nine barometric pressure, ninety-degree water and thirty milliliters of espresso, which will be ready in thirty seconds.
