Today I will tell you about an express method for preparing whole baked potatoes. We will bake it in the microwave in its jacket with spices and serve with butter. What we need:

  • potatoes - 4 tubers;
  • vegetable oil – 1.5 tablespoons;
  • salt - to taste;
  • mixture of peppers - to taste;

I took four small tubers. Their size is slightly larger than a matchbox. You can use larger potatoes, but they will take a little longer to cook. Another important point– root vegetables should be approximately the same in size. This ensures that the dish cooks evenly.

My tubers are not fresh (the skin is already wrinkled in places), therefore, there is no need to perform additional manipulations with the potatoes. If the potatoes are young, you will need to pierce them with a knife before cooking. One puncture is enough.

Place the potatoes in a ceramic plate that is suitable for microwave ovens. The dish will be served in the same container.

Fill the potatoes with vegetable oil and carefully distribute it over the surface of the root vegetables with a silicone brush.

Top each potato generously with salt, granulated garlic and a mixture of peppers, preferably freshly ground from a mill. There is no need to turn the potatoes over; let them be sprinkled only on top.

We put the plate in the microwave.

Cover the top of the potatoes with a special lid for microwave ovens. The valve on it must be open.

We set the unit to a power of 800 W (in my device this is the maximum value) and set the cooking time to 8 minutes. If your tubers are larger than mine, then initially set the time to 10 minutes.

After the beep, open the door and remove the lid. Be extremely careful not to get burned by the hot steam!

Check readiness with a sharp knife. If the blade goes in without difficulty, then the potatoes are ready; if not, continue baking in the same mode for another 2-3 minutes.

Without turning the finished tubers, cut them in half, and then place each slice with the cut side up.

Place on potatoes a small piece butter.
