For its preparation, it is better to choose low-fat mayonnaise, 30 or 40 percent, so that it emphasizes, but does not interrupt the taste of the main ingredients. Although this is very hearty salad, due to the delicacy products it contains, it is a fairly light snack.

What products are needed:

  • 1 can of caviar, weighing approximately 140 g;
  • 150 grams hard cheese;
  • 450 g squid;
  • 6 chicken eggs;
  • 4 potato tubers;
  • 200 g of mayonnaise;
  • 1 bunch of fresh herbs dill.

Step by step description of the cooking process:

  1. To prepare a snack, you need to prepare potatoes. It must be boiled in its uniform until fully prepared then cool and clean.
  2. You also need to boil the eggs. They are boiled hard-boiled, the cooking time is 10 minutes after boiling. Both eggs and potatoes should be boiled with a small amount of salt added.
  3. Then you should prepare the squid. They must be thrown into boiling water, removed and immediately lowered into ice water, so they will be easy to clean. After the skin has been removed from them, they must be boiled. They are boiled for only one minute after lowering into boiling water. You should not even wait until the water boils, after a minute you need to take out the carcasses, otherwise they will acquire a rubbery taste. They also need to be chilled.
  4. Chilled chicken eggs should be peeled, the protein should be separated from the yolk. The yolk should be very finely crumbled with your hands, and the protein should be grated on a coarse grater.
  5. Potatoes are also rubbed on a coarse grater. Crab sticks should be defrosted, removed from each of them cellophane packaging and cut into small squares or cubes.
  6. Boiled and cooled squid should be cut into strips or half rings.

So, sometimes lettuce is replaced by leaves Chinese cabbage; quail eggs many rub; the components may not be mixed, but stacked in layers, as in the first recipe. Plus, gourmets add to the Tsarsky salad with red caviar and squid additional components: fresh cucumber, cut into strips, or cubed tomatoes.

Marine variant

If you are a fan of seafood, you can cook the Tsarsky salad with red caviar and squid, adding not only shrimp to it, but also small slices of lightly salted red fish. The composition is sprinkled with chopped dill and placed in the most honorable place.
