  6. Separately fry the bacon. We cut the finished strips a little and pour them to the chicken, mix everything.

Pasta with chicken and mushrooms in a creamy sauce is one of my signature dishes. I started cooking it about ten years ago, by trial and error I came to a 100% result, which I repeat with pleasure from time to time, then watching how the household quickly empty a large frying pan with pasta. I don't know of a better combination than pasta and a creamy sauce that soaks up the flavors of mushrooms and fried chicken.

To make pasta really tasty, there are some rules:

1) vegetable oil before frying chicken and mushrooms is enriched with the aroma of garlic,

2) the chicken is fried over high heat for five minutes to form an appetizing crust,

3) mushrooms, on the contrary, are cooked over low heat - the juice that stands out is absorbed into the chicken pieces,

4) a large amount of cream is added to get a noticeable amount of sauce,

5) the pasta is cooked to the al dente stage and then, after cooking, is immersed in the sauce,

6) The palatability of the pasta increases significantly if you add thyme, basil, oregano or a mixture of Mediterranean herbs.

Pasta you can choose to your taste. Some people like spaghetti, some like horns, my family loves wide Italian noodles. It is sold under the name "nests" or "fetuccini". But today I decided to try to make pasta myself. And below you can see how easy it is to wind 350 grams of homemade pasta. I even made a 15 second video because I loved the process. I will also give the recipe, it is quite simple.

Ingredients:

  • Any pasta (spaghetti, fettuccine, farfalle and others) - 300 grams,
  • Chicken - 250 grams,
  • Mushrooms - 300 grams,
  • Garlic - 2 cloves,
  • Cream - 1.5 cups
  • Salt to taste
  • olive oil for frying,
  • Thyme (highly recommended but not required) - 1/3 teaspoon

How to cook pasta with chicken and mushrooms in a creamy sauce

Let's start with the Italian method of flavoring olive oil. Pour the oil into a deep frying pan. We cut the garlic into large slices, put it in oil, put it on the stove and warm it up until it turns slightly yellow. Then take out the garlic.


Put the chicken pieces into the oil. The size is optimally made so that you can easily put a piece in your mouth. I made some kind of diamonds with a side of 1-1.5 centimeters. We set the heating to high (but not maximum). Fry the chicken, stirring, for five minutes. Then we reduce the heating to medium (and preferably below average).


My mushrooms, cut. It can be small, it can be longitudinal slices. If the mushrooms are small. If large, then cut into quarters. Pour into the skillet with chicken, mix. Simmer over low heat for 10 minutes.


We pour cream. Fat content can be any. I have 22 percent. Heat up until a slight simmer begins. Salt, pepper, add herbs. Ideally thyme. It goes wonderfully with all the products that make up the sauce. If thyme is not available, add herbes de Provence.


If you want the sauce to be a little thicker, add a little more flour. Literally a gram - so much fits on the tip of a sharp knife. And stir quickly.


Let's get pasta. It needs to be boiled in a lot of water. The rules for cooking Italian pasta are very simple: there should be 10 times more water than pasta, and 10 times less salt. For 300 grams of pasta, you need to filter 3 liters of water. And add 30 grams of salt (I got 1.5 tablespoons). Bring water to a boil, add pasta. Cook for 8 minutes. Then we recline in a colander. And when the water drains completely, put it in a pan with chicken, mushrooms and cream sauce.


Typically, Italians dip the pasta into the sauce, stir, let it soak for a couple of minutes, and only then spread it on plates. It turns out not as aesthetically pleasing as in the front photos, but at times tastier.


Decorate the pasta with herbs and serve.
