Cottage cheese with herbs and garlic. Curd with herbs for weight loss - the best healthy snacks

Hello everyone from sunny Crimea. We are on vacation, the sun is shining, the weather is wonderful. It's really hot outside. The sea is warm, there was a wave for several days. But, to be honest, we have already bought ourselves. Therefore, we went to the city to shop. We were at the market and bought vegetables, fruits, feta cheese, cottage cheese. Our children love cottage cheese for breakfast with tea. I also pour honey on the cottage cheese, which is also very tasty and healthy.

For a long time I want to cook a cottage cheese appetizer with garlic and herbs. Here was such an opportunity, and I had an idea to serve it on halves of tomatoes. Summer is all the same. In winter, such an appetizer can be served in a tartlet or on a cracker.

I have a friend who always prefers cottage cheese with honey for dinner or breakfast. Their whole family loves cottage cheese. So, after talking with her, I also began to use cottage cheese with honey. We bought honey in Crimea from friends. Very tasty. To be honest, such delicious honey, I ate only at my grandfather's in the apiary. Well, this year we have stocked up with honey.

Now I want to say my opinion about the cottage cheese appetizer. I really liked this appetizer, my husband liked it too.

The children refused to try because of the presence of garlic in it. For adults, this is a great appetizer and you can create your own serving by showing your imagination.

It seems to me that this dish is light and at the same time satisfying. And with a tomato it's just super. True, tomatoes need to be salted a little. And yet, be sure to when you cook the balls of cottage cheese, put them in the refrigerator for 30-40 minutes.

So, if you have not tried the cottage cheese appetizer, then I recommend trying it. Moreover, the recipe with photographs and it will not be difficult for you to prepare it.

Light snacks are always a great decoration for the table. Delicious, hearty, quick-to-prepare dishes attract the attention of guests. It's no secret that the combination of the simplest products turns out to be very tasty. Cottage cheese, herbs, garlic, tomato and cucumber fit this description. Together, these products make up an independent and mouth-watering dish, although very little cooking time is required.

Features of this combination

Cottage cheese, herbs and garlic are a great food combination. All ingredients together carry a huge amount of vitamins. Moreover, in the dish of these products there is a lot of protein, and there are practically no carbohydrates.

The main feature of the combination of cottage cheese, herbs and garlic is that it is a calorie-free dish. Doctors advise making such a snack because it is full of benefits. Curd is a source of calcium. It can be an excellent substitute for meat products, since it contains protein: 100 grams contains 16.5-18 grams of protein.

Satisfying hunger is another important feature of the snack. Cottage cheese, herbs, garlic do not interfere with weight loss even if you want to eat a dish in the evening. The curd mass is quickly absorbed and easily accepted by the body.

You can also add a tomato or cucumber to your snack. This will not spoil the dish at all, on the contrary, it will add freshness. Another plus - the cooking process takes very little time, literally 5-10 minutes.

It is worth talking about the benefits and the harms. You may hear the opinion that this dairy product is harmful to the body. Don't trust rumors. The presence of lactose in cottage cheese does not in any way reduce the importance of its important functions. Yes, lactose slows down weight loss, but does not harm the body at all.

Do not be afraid to eat cottage cheese with herbs and garlic in the evening: the calorie content of a dish from these products cannot be higher than 150 kcal.

It all depends on the fat content of the milk component.

Recipes

Consider options for how to make a curd snack with herbs.

Basic recipe

Curd with herbs and garlic is a homogeneous mass. This dish does not need heat treatment, therefore it is necessary to choose products of the first freshness.

As for the herbs, you can use anything except the green onions because they will add bitterness. You can also add a couple of mint leaves. This will only brighten the taste of the snack.

Choose the fat content of the curd according to your preferences. If you want to make a dietary meal, use a product with a fat content of 0-0.5%.

And you can also add cucumber and tomato if the curd is not completely chopped in a blender. Use vegetable oil or sour cream so that the dish does not taste dry. Just a little bit: one tablespoon will be enough.

The main ingredients of the herb curd snack:

  • 400 g of cottage cheese;
  • greens (of your choice);
  • 2 large cloves of garlic;
  • slice of lemon.

First, cut the garlic into 4 pieces and place in a blender. Gradually add coarsely chopped greens to it. Next comes cottage cheese and a slice of lemon. Stir all foods for a few minutes. That's it, your dish is ready!

The appetizer can be served in various ways: on slices of bread, on chopped vegetables, in tartlets.

Light dietary snack

Today dietary products are in great demand. People who want to lose weight quickly often start eating very small meals 1-2 times a day. Moreover, they believe that various "protein" bars are many times more useful than cottage cheese, boiled meat, vegetables. They are definitely wrong.

For proper weight loss, it is necessary to use "real", not chemically processed foods. Curd, for example, is the most important element in the diet. However, many people cannot eat it dry. This recipe will help you not only eat tasty and satisfying food, but also lose those extra pounds. Such a dish is the key to a healthy diet.

To prepare a diet snack you will need:

  • 100 g fat-free cottage cheese;
  • medium-sized cucumber;
  • greens (optional);
  • a small clove of garlic;
  • a few loaves of bread.

First, prepare all the products for use: mash the cottage cheese a little, rinse the herbs, peel the garlic, cut the peel from the cucumber. Then transfer the curd to a blender. Cut the cucumber into rings, then add it to the curd. First chop the garlic with a garlic press, put it in a blender bowl. After that, add the herbs, use salt and pepper to taste.

Beat all ingredients with a blender for 4-7 minutes. The mixture should be homogeneous, "smooth", without lumps. It spreads easily on bread.

Since the snack is dietary, it should be served on buckwheat bread. Garnish the "sandwich" with a sprig of dill and a wedge of tomato.

An exquisite way of making cottage cheese with herbs

Garlic, cottage cheese and herbs are a very simple but delicious dish. However, I want something "exotic", unusual. To the question of what to add so as not to spoil the taste, you can answer - avocado.

This fruit is very rich in vitamins. Moreover, using it, you do not need to add oil to the mass, since the avocado contains a fatty component. Do not be afraid to experiment with the composition of the appetizer!

Products that are needed for cooking:

  • one ripe avocado;
  • 100 g of cottage cheese with a fat content of 9%;
  • any greens to choose from;
  • some green onions (half one pod);
  • salt pepper.

You do not need to use garlic in this recipe, because onion replaces it.

First, prepare the curd by passing it through a sieve. If this is not possible, then just mash it with a fork. Carefully cut the avocado into two equal parts without touching the pit. Get it out. The pulp of the fruit must be mixed with cottage cheese.

Chop the herbs finely and transfer to a bowl with the rest. Rotate everything in a blender for a few minutes. The filling should be free of lumps. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

The dish must be cooled: put it in the refrigerator for 20 minutes for the appetizer to improve its taste. Remember one important point: the filling cannot be prepared in advance.

Use avocado peels when serving. The boat shapes will decorate your table and surprise your guests. Cut the tomato or bell pepper into cubes on top of the filling.

You can also chop up some greens.

Tomatoes stuffed with curd mass

This appetizer has a very pleasant aroma. The combination of garlic, herbs, cottage cheese and tomatoes is something extraordinary! The recipe, like all the previous ones, is simple, does not require any special skills.

Ingredients for cooking:

  • 100 g of cottage cheese with a fat content of 18%;
  • 2 sprigs of basil;
  • one clove of garlic;
  • sour cream and mayonnaise, 1 teaspoon each;
  • salt, ground pepper;
  • 5 tomatoes.

First, wash and dry all food thoroughly. Take a bowl for the mixture, put the curd there. Add chopped herbs and garlic gradually. Whisk all ingredients with a blender until smooth.

Put mayonnaise and sour cream in the resulting snack. Then season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix everything again with a blender.

Cut the tomatoes in half and make small cuts. Shape the tomatoes into a "tulip" shape. Remove all the pulp and fill the empty space with the curd mass.

Spicy cottage cheese with sour cream is best used not for breakfast, but for dinner.

Cottage cheese with herbs in thin Armenian lavash

Lavash has become as common a product as cottage cheese. Moreover, you can make a lot of delicious dishes from it. Using Armenian lavash in the cooking process, you "get rid" of the "torment" with the dough.

This recipe, unfortunately, is not for those who really want to lose those extra pounds. The dish is extremely appetizing and tasty, but high in calories.

You will need the following ingredients:

  • 500 g of cottage cheese with a fat content of 9%;
  • 2 thin Armenian lavash;
  • greens (of your choice);
  • 5 eggs;
  • 150 g sour cream.

Combine cottage cheese, herbs and 2 eggs. Spread the pita bread and spread the mixture evenly over it. Roll each sheet of pita bread into a roll.

This recipe requires heat treatment. Therefore, prepare an oiled baking dish in advance.

Place the filling wrapped in pita bread on a baking sheet. Then whisk the sour cream with 3 eggs, salt and pepper. Lubricate the pita bread with cottage cheese and herbs with the prepared mixture.

You need to bake the dish until the moment when a golden crust forms. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. The product cooks pretty quickly, so watch it carefully.

After baking, it is necessary to allow the pita bread to cool down. After a while, cut into small pieces and serve.

Alternatively, you can make pita bread stuffed in the form of envelopes. To do this, you need to wrap cottage cheese with herbs in pita bread, but crosswise. The baking time remains the same. The dish tastes like khachapuri.

Pie stuffed with herbs and cottage cheese

If you want to surprise your guests, then this recipe is for you. An open pie with cottage cheese and herbs is very reminiscent of Caucasian cuisine in taste. When you put a piece of this wonderful dish in your mouth, a mountain landscape is immediately drawn in your mind.

Here's what you need:

  • purchased puff pastry;
  • 4 eggs;
  • 500 grams of cottage cheese with a fat content of 9%;
  • greenery;
  • 100 g sour cream.

Stir the curd with herbs. Then add 2 eggs and whisk the whole mixture. Prepare a baking dish. It should be well oiled.

Spread one sheet of dough on a baking sheet. Spread the resulting filling over it. The second sheet is the "roof" of the pie - they need to cover the curd with herbs. Remember to join the edges.

Make a wide hole in the center of the cake so that it can receive oxygen. Brush the dough with one egg.

The oven needs to be preheated to 180 degrees. Bake the dish until golden brown. Check the pie with a toothpick; if it is damp, the toothpick will be wet. Bon Appetit!

Main Ingredients:

  • 150 g of cottage cheese with a fat content of 5%;
  • 20 g dill;
  • 2-3 pickled cucumbers;
  • 20 ml of kefir.

Rinse the greens under running water. Chop the dill. Cucumbers can be cut into cubes. You do not need to cut off the peel. It will add crunch and flavor to the dish.

Curd must be made into a homogeneous mass. Use a blender to do this. Add the rest of the ingredients to the resulting mass and mix thoroughly. Serve the dish in different ways: on slices of bread, in egg white or tomatoes.

However, a salty snack is best combined with thin pita bread.

Each hostess wants her dish to be very tasty, and especially so that guests like it. Unfortunately, it is not always possible to "please" these factors.

There are no specific rules for success. But there is a list of recommendations that will help you prepare an appetizer from cottage cheese and herbs so satisfying and appetizing that your guests will always ask for more.

Cottage cheese

Choose low-fat cottage cheese. The high fat content of the dairy product produces juice, which impairs the taste. The color of fresh good cottage cheese is white. The home may have a characteristic yellow tint.

There should be no large lumps in a quality product. And also fresh cottage cheese should not be dry. There is serum in a quality product, but there is not much of it.

Expired cottage cheese smells like mold. You may also experience sour notes. Of course, such cottage cheese cannot be eaten.

If you have purchased grainy curd, do not despair. It can be turned into a homogeneous mass as follows: rub the curd through a sieve before mixing the ingredients with a blender.

Greenery

Always choose greens to your taste. It must be rinsed and dried before cooking. The water must be removed because it will spoil the freshness of the dish.

Salt

Use fine salt. It will be absorbed much faster and more evenly.

The main thing is to cook with pleasure. This "ingredient" will enhance any snack!

Diets that involve only protein foods, in addition to meat, fish and eggs, are allowed to use low-fat dairy products, and from the plant group - greens. However, what is the use of cottage cheese with herbs for weight loss, what else can be added here to make it tasty, but harmless, and what to use - a curd mass or a grain product - is difficult to figure out on the fly. The main question is what time of day you can eat the resulting dish.

The benefits of cottage cheese for weight loss

Some nutritionists dispute the harmlessness of this dairy product for the figure, explaining their position by the presence of milk sugar - lactose in it. If you can still find milk without it (this option is considered optimal for losing weight), then a lactose-free curd product in Russia is too rare a thing to hope for its existence. Lactose often becomes fatty deposits, like other sugar, so weight loss with regular use of cottage cheese slows down.

However, the benefits of this product are also there and cannot be ignored:

  • In terms of calorie content, cottage cheese with a low percentage of fat is an absolutely dietary product: there are 71-121 kcal per 100 g (from 0% to 5% fat).
  • It is an easily absorbed source of calcium and is less likely to cause dyspepsia than milk.
  • When losing weight, cottage cheese can replace meat products, since it contains protein. There are 16.5-18 grams of protein per 100 gram serving, so it suppresses hunger for a long time.
  • In comparison with meat, this product will not interfere with weight loss, even if you plan to eat it in the evening - it is very light, absorbed quickly, but the feeling of satiety remains for a long time. However, it is better not to eat it just before going to bed because of the lactose.
  • If you mix cottage cheese with herbs, you stimulate the intestines to work and cleanse it, because all grass is rich in fiber, which is good at sweeping excess from the digestive tract.

What to eat cottage cheese with

Most people are used to seeing this product as a filling in pancakes, pies or dumplings, i.e. with a sweet taste, because it was necessarily mixed with sugar. However, when losing weight, this combination is prohibited. Cinnamon and vanillin are the only additives in the confectionery format. Often, doctors advise making a curd mass with herbs for weight loss: this is a simple and tasty version of an independent dish, snacks, fillings for sandwiches. This mixture can even be added to oatmeal in the morning if you come from a fat burning workout and are planning a second breakfast.

Ideal supplements for weight loss include:

  • cucumbers;
  • tomatoes;
  • peppers;
  • avocado pulp;
  • eggs;
  • olives;
  • all types of greenery;
  • spices (especially ground pepper, cardamom, cumin).

For dinner

In the evening, supplements should be as low-calorie as possible, so you should not mix cottage cheese with sour cream and wait for weight loss: it is better to do with lettuce leaves, arugula, parsley, dill. Greens can be dried, although it will give almost no taste - only aroma. If you prefer a more satisfying meal, you can add fat-burning vegetables: celery stalks are ideal. They are lightly fried beforehand (do not pour oil!). Due to the universal fresh taste, the fermented milk product is combined with most types of greens and other plant foods.

For breakfast

In the morning, doctors consider it not dangerous to eat even a little simple carbohydrates - if you choose to lose weight on a healthy diet, this will not harm your figure. For this reason, it is even allowed to bake greens with cottage cheese, mixing with egg white or using this mass as a filling for an unsweetened pie. In this case, it is recommended to use fresh, dry dough: sour cream, without oil and on whole grain flour, would be a good option. If you do not want to thermally process food, you can eat curd mass whipped with yogurt, sprinkled with an assortment of herbs and seeds.

Due to the ability to make relaxation in the morning, you can prepare such a dish for an appetizer and serve:

  • on whole grain crisps;
  • on slices of fleshy tomatoes;
  • in halves of pepper.

Diet recipe for cottage cheese with herbs

When losing weight, it is undesirable to add fats to this product, because you will reduce the value of the finished meal for the body. You only need to get protein, so if you want to soften the fat-free dry mass, you can pour in a little kefir, but not sour cream or butter. It is not worth cooking greens with cottage cheese for future use, but if the portion is larger than you planned, tighten it with cling film and leave it in the refrigerator overnight. Such a dish should not stand for more than a day.
