I honestly admit that I saw the idea of ​​frying a piece of bread with grated potatoes, but decided to modernize this recipe by adding additions to the filling in the form of sausage, cheese and garlic.
Let's cook first potato filling, but in fact it will turn out to be a real potato pancake. Peel and cut the potatoes into pieces and place in a blender bowl. Add a peeled clove of garlic to it. Grind everything to a mushy state.

Place the potato mixture in a sieve or colander and let the liquid drain by pressing with your hands. Add salt and pepper to taste, add flour, break the egg and mix everything thoroughly. After standing for a little while, the salted potatoes will release a little moisture again; it is advisable to remove it with a spoon.

Cut the bread into slices across the entire loaf, divide them into halves for convenience. Fry a piece of bread on the side on which we will place the filling, in a dry frying pan without adding oil, until golden crust.
