What are reviews from Thailand. Elephant paper photo albums and frames

The question - what can be bought and brought from Thailand, and in particular from Pattaya - is one of the main ones, and we, of course, could not ignore it. Anyone who has ever been to Thailand already knows approximately what gifts can be bought for friends, relatives, and, of course, for your loved one. But for those who are just going to this beautiful country, this article will be not only interesting, but also very useful. After all, you need to have at least some idea in advance about what other tourists are bringing home. I will not write about stupid magnets, because I adhere to the principle - buy as a gift only what you yourself would be happy with. What is the point of buying unnecessary trinkets for anyone, which will then gather dust on a shelf or on a refrigerator? So, let's begin!

Fruit

Something, but nature did not deprive the rich Thai land of fruits. Although there have been a lot of fruits on our shelves lately that we used to see only in pictures, in Thailand you will find a variety that you cannot even imagine. For a European person, many will seem exotic both in appearance and in taste, but I would advise, if you are lucky enough to be here, take the opportunity and try as many as possible. In addition to the familiar pineapples, watermelons, bananas, tangerines, coconut and mangoes, be sure to at least take a bite of durian, jackfruit, dragon's eye, shompa, guava, lychee, longan, mangosteen, rambutan and other gifts of the subtropics. I will not dwell in detail, as I will definitely devote a separate article to this topic. We give honorable first place to fruits, due to the fact that they occupy the maximum weight and volume of your suitcases. If you carry hand luggage, keep in mind that sometimes large baskets are not allowed to pass during check-in (whoever you run into). We once had to urgently shove fruit from a basket into bags and into luggage.

Where to buy fruit in Pattaya? Almost at all (cheaper in areas remote from the sea), fruit muffins (usually sold already cut and packaged), in shops and, from peddlers on the beach (prices are above average). Almost all hotels offer pineapple, papaya and watermelon for breakfast. You can eat up.

durian jam

The only fruit that is forbidden to be exported from Thailand is the durian. You can’t even enter the territory and hotels with it. But lovers of this miracle or just pranksters can purchase a legal alternative - durian jam. It is quite inexpensive. You can also buy durian chips. Who does not accept this product, can buy chips from other fruits: banana, pineapple, mango, papaya and breadfruit.

Where to buy jam and chips in Pattaya? In all grocery departments, as well as in "". Cheap and delicious chips they sell it at the market, which they bring during an excursion to Kwai.

Coffee and tea

Thai coffee can only be bought in Thailand. They do not produce much, but it will not be difficult to buy. The price tag is quite cheap, but at the same time original and tasty. Tea is sold in in large numbers and diversity. For gifts I advise you to take blue tea(good for eyesight) and matum tea (brewed for colds).

Where to buy coffee and tea in Pattaya? Almost in all large supermarkets, and specialized stores, for example - Tea Village in (the choice is rich, prices are below average).

Products

I think very good gift- canned crocodile. It seems to be sold in the food departments of supermarkets, although I searched and did not find it. They also say that you can find canned food from scorpions, worms and beetles. If you want to buy fried insects for gifts, you can find them from street vendors in Pattaya markets and on. If we have already touched on the topic of products, then you can also buy in grocery supermarkets: sets for making the famous Tom Yam soup, coconut milk in packs, spicy sweet and sour sauce bottled, fish sauce black, rice noodles, chewing gum and pepper candy.

Thai rum

Be sure to buy home a bottle of Thai Sang Som rum. As they say cheap and cheerful. There will be something to celebrate the arrival and treat friends.

Where to buy rum in Pattaya? They are sold in supermarkets, at 7 Eleven and at the airport. Moreover, at the airport, the price for 0.7 liters is 340 baht, and at 7 Eleven it seems to be even cheaper - about 290 baht. Small bottles for gifts can be bought from 100 baht.

Silk

Despite the fact that silk is made in Thailand, silk products are quite expensive here as well. For example, a men's shirt - from 1200 baht, a tie - from 400 baht. True, in Russia it will be very difficult to find this product for any money. Advice for potential buyers - if the product costs less than 400 - 500 baht, it is most likely a fake. Another fake most often gives out a perfectly flat surface.

Where to buy silk in Pattaya? In some souvenir shops (), at the World Gems Collection jewelry factory and in shopping centers.

Leather

They sell a lot of products made from the skin of a cow, snake, crocodile and stingray. You can buy bags, wallets, shoes and belts. Prices for snake, crocodile and stingray are quite high. Be careful when buying street vendors, especially those who walk along the beaches slip calfskin products in their place.

Gold and gems

Jewelry made of gold, of course, will cost you less than at home, but there is a peculiarity. The sample is mostly above 750, so the color is more yellow, and the products themselves are softer. As for the stones, it is more profitable to buy them all the same in Burma or Cambodia.

Souvenirs

Well, what about without these cute trinkets?

Where to buy souvenirs in Pattaya? There are several large souvenir shops where you can order a free transfer: Golden Chase. If you have a task to stock up on souvenirs for all your numerous relatives, then of course you can go there. Otherwise, I would advise buying souvenirs in small shops - it will be cheaper with a bargain, and besides, there are more interesting gizmos. Souvenirs are also sold in the markets. An exclusive can be found at Thepprasit flea market. Well, on all excursions, of course, they also sell souvenirs. For example, in the elephant village you can buy a great gift - a notebook or photo album from elephant poop. By the way, it doesn't smell at all. Still not a bad souvenir, but not the cheapest one is a teak product. Thailand is famous for its teak carvings. Also in souvenir shops you can buy coconut lamps, a coin with the inscription Yes and No, orchid sprouts in bottles and cool crafts from scrap metal.

Electronics

Most often, products are brought from Thailand: iPads and iPhones (prices, by the way, are not much cheaper than ours), as well as cheap Chinese and Thai fakes for well-known brands of phones and tablets. These are really good savings. When buying, check everything thoroughly, as copies are not covered by the guarantee.

Where to buy phones and tablets in Pattaya? There are electronics departments in many shopping centers, but of course it is better to visit a specialized store -. Fakes can also be found in the markets.

Watch

In Pattaya they sell a lot of different watches. Prices range from 100 baht for regular consumer goods to 5,000 baht for a copy of Rolex.

Where to buy watches in Pattaya? In all shopping centers and markets.

Cosmetics and medicines

Thailand is famous for its cosmetic and medical products. Almost all of it is based on natural products. I don't know about the benefit, but it certainly won't do any harm. From cosmetics are popular: clean and cosmetics based on it; shampoos and balms on natural herbs; masks for skin and hair; aloe vera gel and whitening toothpaste. From medical preparations popular: and tiger balm "Tiger Balm", which helps with colds and pain in muscles and joints. And also - Thai tablets for various diseases, roots and herbs for tinctures,.

Where to buy cosmetics and medicines in Pattaya? When you go on excursions, you will be brought into special ones. The prices are too high there. Advice - listen carefully to what they will praise there, take price lists with annotations, and only then in Pattaya look for the product you like in cosmetic stores and pharmacies. The farther the pharmacies are from the center, the lower the prices will be. True, and instructions in Russian, most likely, you will not find.

Thai medicines and cosmetics can be bought without even leaving Thailand. Recently, a lot of online stores have been divorced. Here are a couple of links to trusted sites that make it very easy to place an order and pay for the goods you are interested in: Shop-Thailand.ru, ThaiHerbal.ru, Herbalone.ru. It will certainly be more expensive than in a pharmacy, but still cheaper than buying air tickets.

Latex pillows and mattresses

They are produced in Thailand, and where else to buy latex products, if not here? Everyone has already heard about the benefits of latex mattresses and pillows, so I will not dwell on this.

Where to buy latex in Pattaya? When you go on some excursion, you will definitely be taken to a latex factory. You can listen to an overview lecture and lie on mattresses, but I would not advise buying there. Prices are very high, cheaper of course than ours, but not by much. Recently departments with latex products have appeared in almost all major shopping centers in Pattaya. The prices there are much lower. For example, pillows - from 900 baht. They also sell latex in Lukdota. Do not be afraid that this product will take up a lot of space in your luggage. Vacuum packaging will reduce the volume by almost 10 times. When you arrive home and unpack, everything miraculously, and without any consequences, will return to its original size.

Of course, this article is not a guide to action. In fact, there are many more interesting things in Thailand worthy of having a new owner in your face. Just remember that the suitcases are not rubber and there is a weight limit on departure - 20 kg of luggage per person + 5 kg of hand luggage. The weight of one piece must not exceed 30 kg. There are heavy fines for overweight, so it’s better to weigh everything in advance. There are scales in most hotels and near 7 Eleven stores.

What can not be bought and exported from Thailand?

There are things that in no case can not be taken out of Thailand. In the best case, they will pick you up at customs, and in the worst case, they may detain you. In addition to the generally accepted forbidden things, they include: large Buddha figurines (more than 13 cm), a skin or stuffed crocodile; skin, claws and fangs of a tiger; bones and products from the bone of an elephant; tortoise shell and products from it; Sea Horses; large shells of some marine mollusks; raw gems and corals; bats and some types of butterflies; earth, sand and plants with earth; durian. You can try some of these things in your luggage, but do you need it? Seeds, by the way, are also prohibited for export, but it is almost impossible to find them in luggage, so if anyone wants to experiment with growing exotic fruits on their windowsill, then you can not throw out the seeds from the fruits you eat.

Recently found fresh video about what else you can buy in Thailand. Some interesting things are unfairly forgotten in my article, but are shown in this story, for example, Thai cosmetics and Goji berries.

If you buy goods via the Internet on AliExpress, Ozon, Mvideo, Svyaznoy, etc. and still do not receive up to 15% cashback from your purchases, then this link will be useful for you.

And most often just before leaving, having counted the last remaining money, vacationers begin to look for something inexpensive, but of high quality and valuable. I will not write about standard souvenirs such as figurines of elephants, frogs and fruit baskets. All this, in my opinion, is obvious, and is sold at every turn.

In this article, I want to focus on more useful souvenirs. So, what to bring from Thailand?

Pearls in Thailand are literally at every step, the main thing is not to run into a fake. Photo: © flickr/gill_penney

There are many fakes in the markets, this should also be taken into account when buying. To recognize a low-quality product, you should pay attention to a few points:

  • real pearls do not slip, when you try to rub two pearls against each other, resistance is felt;
  • the enamel does not wear off. Traces on the enamel are a sign of a fake;
  • Natural pearls are elastic, so the quality is checked by throwing one pearl on the floor. Fake pearls will not be able to jump, they will roll on the floor.

Cosmetics

Cosmetics from Thailand are popular, as they consist almost entirely of natural ingredients, and are relatively inexpensive. The most purchased products in this category:

The range of uses for coconut oil is varied. On its basis, face masks, shampoos are made. Used as a means for a uniform tan. Used for massage. Apply to areas of the body where there are abrasions or cuts for the speedy regeneration of tissues. The oil relieves irritation well, so it is used after depilation or shaving.

When buying oil, you should pay attention to quality. The best oil is obtained by cold pressing. The bottle should say "VirginCoconutOil". An indicator of good cleaning is the transparent color of the product.

Medicines and traditional medicine

The famous Thai balms are the first thing to bring from Thailand. Buy them, of course, better in pharmacies.

The advantages of buying balms in a pharmacy are obvious. The pharmacist is well versed in them and will help you choose the right balm.

The most popular in this category of products is tiger balm, which is similar to the Soviet "Asterisk". Thais use it for muscle pain, insect bites, and colds. Another ointment called "Snake Fat" is used as an anti-allergic agent.

Essential oil inhalers are also popular. Due to their small size, they are easy to carry around. It copes well with the beginning of a runny nose, but also with a protracted illness relieves nasal congestion. True, those who cannot stand the smell of Thai balms are not recommended to purchase.

Thai silk

It will not be difficult to buy silk, it is sold in many stores and markets, but it is relatively inexpensive. As a gift to the female half, you can buy shawls and scarves. As with pearls, when choosing silk, it is difficult not to run into a fake. When buying a product, it is important to remember a few tips from knowledgeable people:

  • natural silk is uneven, unevenness, roughness, knots will be felt on the fabric. Artificial fabric is always smooth;
  • The “wedding ring” method will help to distinguish a fake. The real fabric will easily pass through the ring, and the imitation will “crunch” and get stuck in a narrow hole;
  • sellers, confident in the quality of the goods, set fire to a thread of silk in front of the buyer. Natural fabric burns with the smell of burning hair. Fake emits the smell of plastic.

Electronics

Tourists often bring electronics from a trip to Thailand. This is explained by the fact that here new models of various equipment appear on sale earlier than in Russia. In addition, if you do not forget to return taxes upon departure, it will turn out cheaper than buying from us. When buying goods with the inscription VATRefundforTourists, you can return VAT (7% of the cost)!

Particularly popular in the country are copies of well-known brands that are much cheaper than the original, and the quality is improving every year. Therefore, if you approach the choice thoroughly, there is a chance to purchase a copy of the latest smartphone model or other equipment for a small price.

Fruit

The main thing to remember when buying fruit is that there is a ban on the export of durian. Otherwise, you can carry fruits in hand luggage. The main thing is that the weight does not exceed 5 kilograms. But, since there are a lot of exotic fruits in Thailand, tourists prefer to bring as many of them as possible by checking in their luggage. For these purposes, it is better to use special baskets for transporting fruit, which are sold almost everywhere. However, experienced travelers recommend using less flashy means, as baskets are often returned empty upon baggage claim. Who is to blame for this is difficult to answer.

In addition to such as mangosteen, rambutan or longan, which are almost impossible to find on the shelves of our country, tourists also bring the usual oranges, bananas, and coconut as a gift. Their taste is very different from those that can be bought in Russia.

antiques

For lovers of antiquity, Thailand is a good opportunity to replenish the collection. Antiques are sold on almost every corner, but among this huge amount of goods there are many fakes. You can buy an original thing only in specialized stores and for a lot of money. It is not uncommon for the purchased goods to be stolen, which can lead to problems with the local police. In order not to be left without a purchase when leaving, you should familiarize yourself with the document that certifies the authenticity of the goods. In addition, the export of antiques requires permission from the Department of Fine Arts.

Natural latex products

Adherents of the theory of healthy sleep will not be able to leave Thailand without pillows and other latex bedding. Many people know about the properties of this material. It does not breed bacteria, latex pillows and mattresses have orthopedic properties.

Many excursions include trips to the so-called "latex factories", where you can observe the production process. On the territory of these factories there are special shops where experienced salespeople will help you choose the right product, tell you about the unique properties of each product. However, experienced travelers warn that prices in these stores are several times higher. The same pillow can be bought several times cheaper in any supermarket.

Clothing, accessories and jewelry

The main advantages when buying clothes in Thailand are good quality at an inexpensive price. Almost all clothes are made from natural materials, so those who have children often buy in markets and shops. It is especially profitable to make purchases in night markets. With the ability to bargain, you can buy a product half the price of the original price.

Those who prefer branded clothing will not see much difference in price. In local boutiques, the cost of any thing from a famous couturier is almost the same as in Moscow.

In order for the image to be complete, it is important to purchase a suitable decoration for the purchased dresses and T-shirts. The choice of this type of product is huge. Everything is made from natural materials: shells, wood, natural stones. You can choose both decorations in a modern style, and with a specific ornament.

As for accessories, various straw braids and wide-brimmed hats have become very popular in this country. For a relatively inexpensive price, you can become the owner of handmade leather shoes or a handbag made of reptile skin.

And finally, when buying souvenirs and gifts, it is important to remember that there is a list of goods prohibited for export from the country, for example, ivory, turtles, crocodiles, bats, claws or tiger skin. More than 1 liter of alcohol will not be allowed through customs either. Sand, potted plants are also prohibited, as are Buddha statues taller than 30 centimeters. 16. Small souvenirs for gifts to relatives and friends

I want to note that the things that I will talk about are quite difficult to attribute to ordinary souvenirs. Rather, this is what I somehow found on the Thai shelves during the two winters in this sunny country. I stumbled upon something by chance, I chose something for a long time in local stores, something other long-wintering neighbors advised me, and something was acquired by me by trial and error. It got to the point that one day I bought glue for the false jaw instead of toothpaste)) And my neighbor accidentally bought a whitening deodorant, with which she bleached all her armpits, after which they began to glow like lanterns on her tanned body, as soon as she raised her hands , and this had to be done often with a small and active child :)

In general, there are many incidents. And so that you do not fall into such situations, I will give clear and proven recommendations on what can be brought from this exotic country. Cheap, practical, unusual and purely Thai, something that is almost impossible to buy in Russia.

1. Traditional textiles

Probably, not everyone needs something like this, but I really love any clothes with the national flavor of a particular country. It’s not a fact that I’ll ever pull it on, but at least as a trophy I definitely need something =) I’m not a shopaholic even once, i.e. accusing me of wasting money is unlikely to succeed, just then at home, in an everyday environment, where everything is boring, such things bring me a special warmth of memories. Especially such “friendship” happens to me with all sorts of scarves and shawls. Here in the photo I have a handkerchief with traditional patterns and Thai elephants =) And even though I used it almost instead of a towel on the beach, it did not at all lose its quality or its charm.

Speaking of beaches, the best of the best Thai beaches are in Krabi and Phuket - mine and colorful photos confirm this fact;)

It happens that I take different national clothes to use on the set in the future. For example, this silk shirt is part of a children's samurai costume. In it, later I shot Mishutka with a sword in her hands, a very unusual photo session turned out. For prices, you don’t need to focus on me especially, because. such things are usually sold in numerous stalls in all sorts of Thai markets for tourists, so you should bargain and literally shake out a 2-3 times discount from sellers. I bought a scarf for 150 baht and a suit for 250 baht, but of course the original price was much more.

2. Cosmetics "Boots"

I came across this brand quite by accident. I was spinning somehow in a Thai pharmacy, and there whole shelves were filled with the products of this company. I decided to take some kind of face product for testing, because. Usually I don’t carry any washbasins with me, but when I live on the spot for several months, they are still necessary. The tool is amazing!

Later I found out that the brand of this cosmetics is already about 150 years old, and the company is English. There are many Boots shops in London. It’s just that they have established production in Thailand, because Boots products are sold in huge quantities here. This cosmetics is famous natural ingredients and excellent quality. From my own experience, I can say that these products are truly one of the best I have ever used. But personally, I would also glorify the price :) Because, for example, the huge “washer” that I have in the photo costs only 70 baht, and the green scrub costs 40 baht at all. Considering that this company has a lot of products not only for the face, but also for hair and body, then you yourself understand that you can get great goods by taking a bunch of amazing care products home;)

3. Coconut oil

Coconut oil is quite a popular purchase among tourists. And I, too, fell for the admiring reviews of others about this miracle remedy. I can say that natural coconut oil can really be used as a hair mask and as a moisturizer for the skin, and I also use it for the skin around the eyes, because. it incredibly softens delicate skin, and also nourishes it with useful trace elements. Natural coconut oil is not cheap. To be honest, I don’t know how much they sell it for at all sorts of factories where tourists are usually taken, but in the cosmetic departments of Tesco Lotus, prices are around 100-150 baht for a small bottle, as in my photo.

In general, with regard to excursions in Thailand, I do not like to turn to guides from tour operators, who only take them to their places where they receive a commission. Usually I prefer to order - it's simple, reliable and exclusive. Moreover, a small payment is taken only for booking, the rest is paid to the guide on the spot after the tour. It turns out a completely different and deeper look at the land of smiles!

The naturalness of coconut oil can be easily checked as follows: at temperatures below +24 degrees, it becomes white and thick. Again, I can see this in the photo, because. At home, the temperature is usually lower. In the hot climate of Thailand, the oil is usually thin and clear. Moreover, I didn’t know about this feature before, the oil I always bought was liquid in the house in Krabi, and at home in Russia it suddenly became so white. After that, I went to google on this topic, after reading about naturalness :) I was glad that I didn’t buy a fake. By the way, in the summer my bottles “thaw” and the oil becomes liquid again.

4. Mattifying wipes

I've only come across these napkins once in my life. Once they were in a limited edition of a well-known American cosmetics. I liked them madly, tk. I am the owner of terribly oily skin, and thin pieces of paper, wiping my face with it, easily absorbed all the dirt, I was simply subdued. A small pack of that limited collection cost several hundred rubles, which was quite noticeable for the early 2000s, although it would seem that just paper could be cheaper.

And so, in the well-known 7Eleven store, I accidentally saw a small pack of something for the face. It cost only 15 baht, so it’s not expensive to take it for a test. Having unfolded it at home, I suddenly found exactly the same napkins inside! They are made of thin rice paper, which at the same time perfectly absorbs any moisture, including everything superfluous from oily skin. In one such inexpensive pack, there are a hundred, or maybe all two, of these napkins, because they are incredibly thin, literally transparent, so they do not take up much space. It's amazing that the price varies so much compared to global cosmetics manufacturers! I'm afraid, and the idea is far from theirs, most likely it was just the Asians who stole it. And in Thailand, these useful napkins can be bought literally for a penny. I recommend!

5. Crystal deodorant

This is the biggest treasure I have come across in Thailand. I have no idea why they don't sell it everywhere, but this is a real find! I saw the same salt deodorant in some online stores, but it costs from five hundred rubles, although in Thailand the prices are on average 50-80 baht.

What kind of deodorants I have not tried in my life, but I have never achieved the desired effect - so that my armpits are dry and there is absolutely no smell. And ball and dry and sprays - complete garbage. To be honest, I don’t understand why everyone is still producing it and I hope someday the demand for them will drop to zero, so that there is no more reason to put something like this on store shelves.

Salt deodorant consists of a crystal of ammonium salt, which perfectly absorbs all sweat, and also has the ability to have a detrimental effect on bacterial cells, whose vital activity is the source bad smell. Literally every morning after a shower I think about how I will live without this deodorant) But, fortunately, it lasts for a long time, I use it for the second year and did not reach half. In addition, there are reserves, because. I recruited him for gifts, but I didn’t manage to give everyone, because this goodness will be enough for me for at least three more years;)

6. Medications

I will not write that all Thai drugs are good, I will only talk about betadine, which I liked, and tiger balm - a panacea for all ills according to Thais. These funds are very cheap, no more than 50 baht, and you can buy them at any Thai pharmacy.

Betadine is iodine glue, as I call it. That is, the iodine solution is weaker than our ordinary iodine, but it performs the same function. But its main difference is the sticky structure, thanks to which the cut or wound is not only neutralized with iodine, but is also covered with a film of dried glue, protecting the wound from moisture and dirt getting into it. Just a mega tool for moms! Any children's cuts and bruises heal perfectly under such protection. This is especially true just at sea, when you can scratch on any pebble, but you can continue to swim without fear that water will get into the wound. But I still recommend that you take out insurance in advance, especially since the policy can be bought at the very favorable price. At least that's how we always do it.

Seven troubles - one answer. That's what the Thais would say about their tiger balm. In fact, this is nothing more than a familiar Vietnamese "asterisk" from childhood. That is, the same yellow, sharp-smelling ointment, which includes menthol, camphor and other oils of medicinal plants. This ointment was invented in China several centuries ago and its recipe was kept secret for a long time. But, in the end, everything secret becomes clear, and due to the proximity of Southeast Asia, now this tool is common here. I can say from my own experience that the Thais really use this ointment for everything in the world - for a runny nose, for headaches, for burns, for cuts, for muscle pain and sprains, for insect bites and a million other cases. As a girl friend once said: “Unless they use it for constipation, although who knows ...” :) I take tiger balm at home mainly for a runny nose, plus as a healing agent for wounds (when they have already dragged on a little). It costs a penny, but it will last for years, because. consumption is minimal. Such a balm is especially good as a gift for elderly relatives - aged parents, grandparents.

7. Gourmet souvenirs

Move on to products. Coconut milk is one of my favorite flavors. Moreover, in the first wintering, I could hardly digest even its smell, but in the second year I decided to try it and, as a result, I was saturated with tender love for him :) Mom recently went to Thailand, so the only thing I asked her to bring was coconut milk. In the photo, the last box of her gifts is just unopened =) In general, I'm not sure that you will appreciate its taste the first time, but I still advise you to definitely try it at least once. It is in such boxes, and of various sizes (up to 1 liter), that coconut milk is sold in all shops. 7Eleven. So finding it won't be a problem.

And since we are talking about the unusual Thai food, then I also recommend to try, or take away for souvenirs to friends and family, durian sweets or sweet seaweed crackers. I know it sounds terrible, but everything is quite edible) And if I already mastered it, which is able to eat only borscht and dumplings, then for lovers of all kinds of exotic food and other gourmets, it will be a very interesting experience at all;) You can also take home traditional sour -sweet Thai sauce and fish sauce to be able to cook your favorites at home thai food. I wrote about what you can eat in Thailand in my article, where you will also find links to recipes that I was taught at a Thai culinary school.

You can buy all of the above products in any 7Eleven. All these are securely sealed and long-lasting products, so you can take them home without any problems. Nothing is taken away at the airport :)

8. Toothpaste with natural ingredients

To be honest, this toothpaste was presented to me. But it really has a very refreshing effect, the breath of mint in it just rolls over. One of the features of this paste is that it is a dirty gray color, like cement. This is a little confusing, because. it seems that brushing with a toothpaste of this color is unlikely to make your teeth whiter. But in fact, this is not the first time I have met with natural Asian toothpaste - somehow in India I was also surprised by the similar color of the local paste, which I purchased in order to have the same white-toothed smile as the Indians :)

The only caveat is that such whitening pastes cannot be used daily. Otherwise, erase the enamel into powder, so decide whether the game is worth the candle. I use it once a week, I didn’t feel a special whitening effect, but I really like the freshness effect. Knowledgeable people still advise buying natural Thai herbal pastes, but without a whitening effect. Well, if you still want to bleach, because. again, according to reviews (but by strangers), the result is stunning, then just try not to brush your teeth with this paste, because. small particles “scratching” the enamel are directly felt in it, but simply apply and hold for 1-2 minutes. You can buy such pastes in Thai pharmacies, the average price for them is 50 baht.

9. Clothing brand "F&F"

Another point that I can’t bypass by any means, because every time I literally buy everything from this company. Not only for myself and the child, but also for my sister and friends. This clothing brand is designed for the Western market, it is sold only in the Tesco Lotus chain of stores, which are available not only in Thailand, but throughout Europe. The quality of these clothes is excellent, and the prices are simply ridiculous. When I first saw the children's clothing of this company, I was amazed - the style, quality, fabric - everything is great, but the prices were 100-200 baht, both for sweaters and trousers. But most of all I was struck by the shirts, because. I have seen the same ones repeatedly in Next, H&M, Mexx and other stores, but they cost many times more there. To be honest, I don’t know how much the same clothes cost in Europe, but something tells me that it’s still cheaper in Thailand, because. it is sewn here, because the local market has such prices, although for most Thais it is expensive.

All in all, I highly recommend F&F if you find yourself in a Thai Tesco Lotus. Their things are scattered in different departments - children's clothing, teenage, adult, underwear, etc. etc. A couple of times it’s enough to look at the labels, so that later you can easily figure out these clothes against the background of the rest of the shirpotrep that hangs on hangers for local residents. To be honest, I can hardly wait for my next trip to Tai to clear all the shelves of these things in Tesco. Mishutka still wears things that I bought there when he was 2 years old. That is, I took a lot and for growth =)

10. Whitening products

This item is not on my picture, because. I'm afraid I'm already white as death, so I don't need such remedies. But I know a girl who has been bleaching freckles all her life, and she would certainly be happy to purchase something from the Thais, because. surprisingly, their products really whiten. Thais, due to the Asian fashion for fair skin, are incredibly fond of resorting to such means. Therefore, in local stores it is difficult to find non-bleaching products rather than vice versa. Even soaps and deodorants have a whitening effect. They can be purchased in the cosmetic departments and shops 7Eleven and Tesco Lotus.

11. Pearl

Pearls are mined in the waters of Thailand, as in many neighboring countries. You can buy it in many stores in Phuket, Pattaya, Bangkok and other resorts. Prices for Thai pearls range from affordable to limitless. Of course, you need to understand that if you see inexpensive pearl products, then the quality of the stone leaves much to be desired. Although, knowing Thai sellers, I would not be surprised if they put a low-grade stone under an expensive product. Moreover, for everyday wear, pearl jewelry from Thailand looks quite decent and in any case will please the owner of a bracelet or beads made of snow-white pearls.

12. Latex products

Huge territories of Thai land are literally studded with heveas - trees, the sap of which is natural rubber, I wrote about this in> this article. Rubber is used to make a wonderful natural material - latex. It's no secret that Thai latex products are in great demand among our tourists. As a rule, these are mattresses and pillows that are offered on numerous excursions. I recommend not to go to all sorts of "factories" there, but to buy latex products in Tesco Lotus - a reliable store with a good reputation, where they will not post anything, sorry, bullshit. The average price of one good latex pillow is 1000 baht. Everything that is more expensive is the usual scam of tourists.

13. Wood products

Now I'm not talking about some large wooden products, such as a bed or a wardrobe. In Thailand, people like to work with wood; many houses are decorated with carved patterns on the outside. However, even inside their homes, Thais bring comfort with the help of wooden decor elements. It can be some kind of lamps, figurines, caskets, wall panels and so on and so forth. The choice is very large, because. Thais have enough imagination. It is worth buying wooden products from Thailand in specialized stores or in the markets.

14. Shell jewelry

I don’t mean women’s jewelry made of shells, although there is a lot of this stuff, but various interesting little things for the home. In my opinion, they are not for everyone, but nevertheless, even some little thing from a shell can be taken as a souvenir. It is always a reminder of the sea and warmth.

15. Musical instruments

I love various traditional musical instruments. For some reason, it is always very unusual and unusual to play them. It captivates not only the new sound, but also the very principle of the game. For example, a bamboo flute, which must be pressed to the chin and scrolled, blowing air down when exhaling. Little things like that help me get to know the local culture better. Especially such musical gizmos are literally necessary when there are children. This is both a toy and a fascinating little thing and knowledge of another world.

16. Small souvenirs for gifts to relatives and friends

Well, we got to the last point, in which I will list the rest of the goods that tourists usually take as gifts for relatives, friends and colleagues. First of all, these are all kinds of key rings, wallets with elephants or traditional ornaments (I have been using one of them for a bunch of years :)), magnets and postcards,. All this can be safely purchased at any Tesco Lotus, especially in large hypermarkets, where all this small things are piled up in mountains not far from the cash registers. affordable prices- an average of 40-80 baht.

OK it's all over Now! I hope my review of Thai goods will help you buy a lot of useful things during your trip to Thailand;) I note that all these funds are relatively inexpensive and at the same time quite traditional, i.e. in Russia they will either not be available at all, or they will be obtained from resellers for prices several times more expensive. Therefore, do not miss the chance to do it on Thai soil, which will come out at least more reliable in quality and cheaper;)

P.S. Since the exchange rate of the ruble is fluctuating too much now, I indicated the prices in baht. When I bought all these things, 1 baht equaled ~ 1.5 rubles. Now, unfortunately, everything will be more expensive. But, nevertheless, it is not critical, because. it is not necessary to spend untold wealth in Thailand in order to get gifts for yourself and friends;)
