How to make a cake with a barbie doll. Based on chocolate cakes

Millions of girls around the world adore Barbie. This fairy girl became the prototype of the heroines of animated series, as well as the inspiration of confectioners and talented child-loving mothers. A popular doll literally becomes the core that holds original innovative ideas.

Following the methodology of our MK, you can make, for example, a “Monster High” cake or a “Barbie” cake; the process will look similar if you want to please a girl and create bright cake"Winx" (fairy). Contrasting colors, the predominance of black, unusual details and other design features define the style of this bright trend. On the contrary, the decor of the Winx cake is a riot of delicate colors, femininity, and flying silhouettes. Don’t be afraid to create, and then with your own hands you will create the fragile fabric of a fairy tale. Our MK is designed to help you with this.

Check out step by step recipe making a Barbie cake. Starring a Barbie doll.

Prepare the following materials: 4 sponge cakes with a diameter of about 18 cm, 500 g butter cream, 100 g mastic white, 350 g mastic pink color. You will also need a round mold with a diameter of 5 cm, a rolling pin, a board, a sharp knife, a spatula, a scraper, as well as molds with a diameter of 8 cm and 10 cm with teeth, a plunger for making small flowers, scissors, a wooden stack, a textured rolling pin or stamp, a turntable .

  1. Use a round cutter to cut out a central hole in each of the sponge cakes.
  2. Generously coat the surface of one of the cakes with cream and place the second one on it. Place all the cakes in a stack. Press them down lightly.
  3. Cut the sharp edge of the top cake diagonally around the circumference, as shown in the video.
  4. Using a spatula, cover the entire surface of the cake with cream and carefully level it with a scraper.
  5. Place the cake in the refrigerator to set the cream for an hour.

  1. Roll out a piece of white mastic thinly. To prevent the mass from sticking to the rolling pin, our master class advises sprinkling it with powdered sugar.
  2. Cut out large shape with teeth resembling a flower. Cut a circle in the center of the flower. Make a radial cut on the resulting part.
  3. The result was a shuttlecock with jagged edges. Roll out the edges of the shuttlecock thinly and cut it into 4-5 small pieces. These are the ruffles on the front of the dress.
  1. Secure the edge of the frill at the bottom of the cake. Press down with a stack. Above the first frill, fasten a slightly shorter second one. Secure them all to the very top with ledges, gradually shortening the length of each piece.

Our MK emphasizes that securing the connection will be more reliable when using a stack.

  1. Roll out a circle with a diameter of 35 cm from a piece of pink mastic. Cut a circle in the center. Using two radial cuts, cut out a triangle-shaped sector and remove it. Apply a design to the remaining part using a textured rolling pin or stamp. This is a skirt.

  1. Cover the cake with it so that the holes on both parts match. Using your palms, knead and smooth out the mastic layer well. The skirt should be positioned so that the white frills are only slightly covered on the sides. This is the front side of the product. Trim off the excess with scissors.
  2. Cut out a large jagged circle from a layer of white mastic, and a smaller circle from a pink layer.
  3. Place the pink piece on top of the white one and roll them together in a radial motion. Cut a round hole in the center. The result is an overskirt.
  4. Cover the cake with it so that the holes match.

  1. According to MK's advice, prepare the doll in this way. Remove all her clothes and wash the figurine well with neutral soap. From the waist down, wrap in cling film. Place your hair in the film as well. Raise your hands up.
  2. Cut out a rectangular piece from a layer of pink mastic, apply a design and wrap it around the doll’s torso, cutting off the excess.
  3. Install the figurine. MK reminds you that the white frill is on the front side of the product. Place a white roller in a circle at waist level.
  4. Use a plunger to squeeze out many small flowers from the white mass. Decorate the bottom of the dress with them in a circle, its front side, and the upper skirt. The video illustrates the ideas of the master class well. Place one of the flowers on the beauty’s chest.
  5. Give your hands a natural position, straighten your hair.

Cake "Doll" made from cream

Now our MK will present a different decor concept. The video will confirm that creating a miracle with your own hands is possible. Let the fairy you prepared give joy to the little birthday girl.

We will need a round sponge cake no thinner than 8 cm, caramel mousse, syrup based on condensed milk, protein cream pink and white flowers, sugar beads.

Recipes for making raw materials can be found during another master class.

The tools you need are 2 plastic bowls, a long sharp knife, a brush, scissors, a stack, a small plunger, cling film, a turntable, a pastry sleeve with a set of attachments, and a doll figurine.

  1. Cut the sponge cake into 4 layers with a sharp knife. The top cake, being denser, will lie at the base of the cake.
  2. Line a large bowl cling film. Make a radial cut on one of the cakes and place it in a bowl. Cut off the excess triangular piece. Line the sides of the bowl with the remaining crust.
  3. Using a brush, saturate the cake with syrup. Place about a quarter of the mousse volume on top with a spatula as a filling. Tamp it down.

  1. Stepping back about 3 cm from the edge of the other cake, cut out a circle in the center. Place the circle in a bowl on top of the filling and press down lightly. Place the rest on the sides again, covering the surface of the first layer. Trim off the excess. Soak the cake with syrup.
  2. Place the filling again. From the top of the cake, cut out a circle with the same diameter as the bowl. Cover the filling layer with it. This is the base of our cake.

Do not forget to compact each layer of filling as recommended in the master class. When the soufflé hardens, there will be no voids in it.

  1. Cover the bowl with film and refrigerate for 2 hours.
  2. Line a small bowl with cling film. Cut a circle from the last cake and place it inside. Place the rest of the cake along the sides of the bowl and soak in syrup.
  3. Fill it with filling even to the edges. Pack the contents tightly, cover the bowl with film and refrigerate for 2 hours.
  4. After 2 hours, place the contents of a large bowl upside down onto the turntable. Don't forget to free the cake from the film.
  5. Place a layer of mousse on the cake and spread evenly over the surface. Place the contents of a small bowl on top, after removing the film.

The more the bowl sizes match, the more organic the skirt will look.

  1. Prepare the doll in the same way as described in the previous section of our master class.
  2. Using a sharp long knife, cut out the middle of the cake to place the doll there.
  3. In our case, the skirt reaches the doll only to the hips. Fashion the top of the skirt from the cut out pieces of dough and filling.
  4. To apply the base, use a pastry sleeve with a flat nozzle. Cover the entire surface with pink cream, first using vertical movements and then spiral ones.
  5. Carefully level the base with a spatula dipped in water.
  6. Proceed directly to finishing. Think in advance about the design of the dress, the location, size of its parts and mark the surface with the tip of the stack, maintaining symmetry. The master class also recommends testing the attachments in advance.

  1. Decorate the bottom of the dress with a ruffle attachment. For each finishing detail - frills, leaves, stars - use special attachments. Give free rein to your imagination. A master class cannot regulate your every step.
  2. Use a flower maker to make roses. Transfer them to the dress using scissors as shown in the video.
  3. When finishing, pay attention to the front side of the product special attention, use multi-colored beads.
  4. Cover the doll figurine above the waist thickly with cream stars using a fine pastry tip.

Cake recipe!!!

To please a child on his birthday is not just a healthy desire of any parent, it is almost a sacred duty of every mother. To please a child, it is better not to buy ready cake in the store, but bake it yourself!!Of course, there are a lot of requirements for him. It should look impressive, be done quickly and easily, and bring the child into a state of wild delight. Everything is real!

Need to:

  • base cake prepared according to your favorite recipe;
  • chewing marshmallows “marshmallow” - 200 g pack;
  • powdered sugar - approximately 300 g;
  • possibly food coloring;
  • Barbie doll or its closest relative.

In addition, you will need a sharp knife (useful with a pizza cutter), a ruler, toothpicks, and a rolling pin.

Making a cake in the shape of a Barbie doll:

Let's dwell a little on the issue of choosing a recipe. It's best if it's soft sponge cake. Or a family version of “Medovik”. Some kind of “Smetannik”. Perhaps “Anthill” - in general, you need a cake from which it will be easy to construct a base for a skirt. Meringues, crispy Napoleon cakes, mousses and soufflés are not suitable.

In this example, the Barbie cake is made on the basis of the usual “Honey Cake” - the cakes, soaked in whipped sour cream, turn out to be soft, it is easy to cut and sculpt a cone from them, they hold their shape well.

First of all, bake the cakes in advance, coat them with cream, and leave to soak.

When the cake becomes soft, you can begin the main part of the work.

We prepare the young lady - we mercilessly remove her store-bought clothes. We wrap the legs, butt, and waist with cling film, and in order to maintain sanitary and hygienic conditions, we wrap the hair in foil.

Place the doll in the center of the cake. If the cakes allow it, you can simply insert a doll in the middle, whose legs will cut the dough themselves. If something harder was baked according to your recipe (the same “Anthill”, for example), it is better to first cut out a small “well” with a knife, into which you can then place the doll.

We trim off the excess, forming a skirt whose proportions will not cause rejection. It is better to trim the edges - first quite strongly, thoroughly. Lubricating with additional cream, place the trimmings on top and secure with cream.

Cut the small “extra” parts into cubes, mix with the cream and mold the missing parts from the resulting mass. At the same time, you should constantly ensure that the skirt has a beautiful shape, does not catch your eye, so that it is pleasant to look at. The ideal dome shape is, you see, not what is required in a skirt. On the contrary, if you can create a slightly asymmetrical shape, it will look more like a real garment.

Now let's do the mastic.

First, we dilute the dye. We don't pour large number coloring agent into a small bowl, pour a little vodka, stir well.

Don't be alarmed - what we got doesn't even remotely resemble the final color.

If you have a microwave oven, life will be easier - put the chewing marshmallows in a deep plate and leave for one and a half to two minutes to heat up. If you are lucky enough not to have a microwave, place the marshmallows in a bowl, which must be placed in a saucepan with water. Cover with a lid and place on the stove. After boiling, reduce the heat to low and wait 15-25 minutes - the marshmallow should become evenly soft and stretchy.

Pour powdered sugar into a bowl. To start, 200 g. Ideally, of course, if you first sift the powder through a sieve. This cake is ready lazy housewife, she doesn't do that perfectly. But nevertheless, the advice has a right to exist - thanks to a few simple movements, the mastic will be smoother and more uniform.

Stir with a fork - let it be lumpy, don't worry.

As a result, you should get a soft, elastic mass that does not stick to your hands. When mixing, add powder as needed - it is likely that you will “take” less than 300 grams. Or more.

When the mastic is ready, add the dye and knead again until smooth.

Leave a piece of white for decoration, although this is not necessary - you can make the dress plain.

We cut off about a third of the piece, hide the rest of the mastic in a bag - it dries quite quickly.

Prepare tools and cutting board.

Roll out the mastic into strips.

The width should be approximately 3-4 cm, no more.

You can run a wheel along the edge on one side to baste the fabric (I think that’s what it’s called), if you don’t have such a “gadget” at home, a needle will help you out - you can pin it. Or you can generally leave it as is - without imitation of stitched fabric.

We make tuck-folds.

For strength, we “walk” over the folds with a rolling pin.

“Sew” the finished frill to the bottom of the cake skirt.

Secure with a toothpick.

“Sew” the next strip. We also fix it. In this way we close the entire cone in a circle. The result is a fluffy, rich skirt, very similar to real clothes.

The thinner your stripes, the more frills you will end up with. Good, but difficult - I recommend the golden mean, when there is not a little “fabric”, but not a lot either.

Roll out a piece of mastic onto the corset - rectangular, round, oval.

And we cover the bust, bringing the edges behind the back and fastening with water - the mastic sticks perfectly if it is moistened.

The joint between the corset and the skirt is not neat.

It is better to hang a bow on your waist.

It will cover the junction of the skirt and corset.

You can decorate the corset with roses.

It’s a good idea to go over the dress with a brush dipped in vodka - this will give it shine and remove any residue. powdered sugar. You can dilute honey in water and cover the cake with syrup in the same way. The dress the doll is wearing in the photo is coated with kandurin (golden food coloring). That's all, perhaps. We remove the “cap” from the hairstyle, straighten the hair, give the doll a meaningful look and go congratulate the birthday girl!

If you find it very difficult with a ruffled mastic skirt, try another version of the Barbie cake prepared according to a different recipe! For example:

Experiment and use your imagination and you will succeed. Here are a few more images for future culinary masterpieces:

And finally, here’s another creative cake recipe for you:

While the chocolate-coffee mixture is cooling, place 4 yolks in a deep bowl and add 200 grams of sugar, beat with a mixer at high speed until white.

Place the cooled chocolate-coffee mixture into the whipped whites.

And, slowly, stir the resulting mass until smooth with a spatula.

Pour in vegetable oil and mix again.

Add sifted flour and baking powder.

Stir with a spatula until smooth. There should not be a lump of beaten flour left in the dough.

Pour 9 egg whites into a mixer bowl, add 30 grams of sugar and beat at high mixer speed until fluffy.

And very carefully mix the mass with a spatula, moving from top to bottom. The dough should become homogeneous, tender, reminiscent of thick sour cream in consistency.

Pour the dough into the multicooker bowl (no need to grease it) and turn on the “Bake” function for 1 hour 15 minutes. The cake can also be baked in a fireproof form (I did not grease the form) in an oven preheated to 180 degrees. The main rule when preparing sponge cake is not to open the oven door before cooking, otherwise the cake will settle. Therefore, the readiness of the biscuit can be checked with a wooden splinter no earlier than after 25 minutes - if you stick it into ready-made cake and immediately take it out, the splinter should remain dry.

When the cake is ready, you need to turn it upside down with the bowl (or baking dish) and leave it in this position until it cools completely.

Remove the cake when it has cooled completely. The sponge cake turns out tall, porous and fragrant. Bake the same second sponge cake in the same way.

Add vanilla to the whipped butter and add condensed milk.

Cut each sponge cake into 2-3 parts and generously spread cream between the layers. Cut corners, giving the future cake the desired shape.

Use a sharp knife to cut a hole on top for the doll. Place the cake in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.

Pour sugar into a saucepan, add water and place on low fire, after boiling continue to cook sugar syrup 8-9 minutes (until a “hard ball”, that is, if you pour a little syrup into cold water, then you can quickly roll it up tightly with your fingers, sugar ball). If you have a culinary thermometer, heat the syrup to 116 degrees. While preparing the syrup, do not stir or crush it. While the syrup is cooking, pour into a deep bowl egg whites and start beating until fluffy. Then pour sugar syrup into the whipped whites in a thin stream and, without stopping the mixer, continue beating the cream until it cools completely (for 7-10 minutes). At the end, add vanilla, a few drops of pink food coloring and beat again.
2-3 tablespoons protein custard Place on the cake and use a spatula to smooth over the entire surface of the cake.

Undress the doll, wrap it in cling film and insert it into the prepared hole. Place the cream in a pastry bag fitted with a star tip and decorate the “dress”. You need to start decorating from the hem of the dress and work your way up. When forming each “rose” on the dress, the cream must be squeezed out, starting from the center and continuing in a circle to the edge. If desired, you can insert a food bead into the center of each “rose.”

So wonderfully homey cream cake The “doll” will not only be a decoration for the holiday, but also a wonderful gift for the hero of the occasion and all the guests.

Such a childish and original dessert should be created in stages. First you need to prepare the base. For it we need the following ingredients:

  • large chicken eggs - 5 pcs.;

To do this, you need to separate chicken eggs into yolks and whites. Add to the yolks granulated sugar and grind them white. The whites need to be cooled in the refrigerator and then whipped to a very thick and standing foam. After all the steps done, both parts of the future base should be mixed, quench the baking soda with vinegar, and add sour cream and wheat flour. As a result, you should get the dough like for charlotte.

Baking process

To make the “Doll” cake as fluffy as possible, it is recommended to bake several cake layers in a special springform. To do this, the dishes should be heated, lubricated vegetable oil, and then lay out the dough in the amount of ¼ part. Thus, each one needs to be baked at 185 degrees for 40-55 minutes. After this, they must be removed from the mold and cooled completely in cold air.

Necessary components for the cream

A doll-shaped cake will be more tender and soft if its cake layers are well soaked sour cream. For it you will need:

  • condensed milk - ½ standard can;
  • sour cream 20% fat - 500 ml;
  • powdered sugar - 2/3 cup.

To make this cream, you need to put the sour cream in a blender container and beat vigorously until it becomes fluffy. Next in dairy product you need to gradually add powdered sugar and pour in condensed milk. As a result of thorough mixing, you will get a very tasty and sweet cream.

Impregnation of cakes

Before the mastic “Doll” cake is properly formed, all cake layers should be soaked in sour cream in advance. To do this, each biscuit must be coated well with the sweet milk mixture, carefully placed on top of each other and left aside for a while.

Preparing mastic to decorate dessert

To make the “Doll” cake made from mastic as beautiful as possible, you should approach its preparation creatively. To decorate this dessert you need to purchase:

  • chewing marshmallows “Marshmallow” - 300 g;
  • powdered sugar - 400 g;
  • food coloring - any (use as desired);
  • alcohol - an incomplete dessert spoon;
  • Barbie doll (remove all clothes first).

Cooking process

Mastic for this original dessert It's very easy to prepare. To do this, place all the chewy marshmallows in a metal bowl and place it on water bath. After the water in a large saucepan boils, sweet product It is necessary to cover with a lid and cook in this mode for 17-19 minutes. After this time, the marshmallow should completely melt, become stretchy and soft. You need to add powdered sugar to it (add in gradually in small portions) and mix in exactly the same way as usual. As a result, you should get a soft and homogeneous mass, which it is advisable to divide into several parts and, if desired, mix with the ones you like, which must first be dissolved in a spoon of alcohol.

After the mastic is ready, it should be immediately placed in a bag, otherwise it will dry out and become unsuitable for decoration.

Dessert decoration process

Decorating a “Doll” cake with your own hands is not very difficult, but you still need some patience and endurance. Thus, to prepare this dessert, you need to take Barbie and wash her well, and wrap the lower part of her body with cling film (it is also advisable to remove her hair for a while). Next, you need to stick the doll into the previously greased cakes so that it fits in there exactly to the waist. After this, the biscuit should be cut beautifully with a knife. As a result, you should end up with a kind of skirt. It must be decorated with mastic. To do this, you need to quickly roll out the sweet mass into a thin layer, cut it into long ribbons, and then form ruffles out of them and attach them one by one to the cakes, giving it a biscuit frame. beautiful shape in the form of a fluffy dress. You should also make a corset for the doll. To do this, a piece of mastic needs to be rolled out and applied to the toy accordingly. By the way, such a base is held together very easily with the help of water, which must be applied to the marshmallow mass in a small amount.

Among other things, the “Doll” cake is beautifully decorated with all kinds of confectionery beads, chocolate hearts, stars, etc.

How to properly serve dessert for the holiday?

It is not recommended to keep a self-made and beautifully decorated doll cake for a long time. refrigeration chamber. Serve something so sweet and original dish To festive table should be done almost immediately after its preparation, because the sponge cakes were already sufficiently soaked in sour cream. In addition to this dessert, you need to present a hot one and By the way, if this cake was prepared for a girl’s birthday, then it should definitely be decorated required quantity candles.

Step 1: prepare the dough and bake the cakes.

First of all, preheat the oven up to 170 - 175 degrees Celsius. We take 2 round non-stick molds with removable sides and cover them with pre-cut circles of baking paper, their diameter should match the diameter of the molds. Then beat into a deep bowl required quantity chicken eggs without shells, add sugar to them, place a container under the mixer blades and turn on the kitchen appliance at low speed. When the ingredients are mixed until smooth, increase the mixer speed to medium and then to the highest speed. Beat eggs with sugar for 8 - 10 minutes until the sugar grains are completely dissolved. Then add sour cream, liquid vanilla extract and softened butter. In the same container we extinguish 1 teaspoon of soda with about 1 tablespoon of vinegar and beat the ingredients for 10 minutes on medium speed until smooth and velvety. Then add the required amount of sifted mixture into the resulting mixture. wheat flour, while simultaneously kneading the semi-thick dough with a whisk. Pour half of the dough into one of the prepared baking pans. Add 1 tablespoon of bitter cocoa powder to the remaining dough and mix the mixture with a whisk until smooth, resulting in chocolate dough. Pour it into a second pan prepared for baking. Check the oven to see if it has warmed up to desired temperature and only after that we place the containers with the dough in the oven on the middle rack. Bake the cake base for 25 – 30 minutes and then check the readiness of the baking with a wooden skewer. Open the oven, insert the end of a wooden stick into the base pulp one by one and take it out. If there are wet pieces of dough on the tip, let the cakes reach full readiness still within 5 – 7 minutes. If the skewer is dry, the base is ready! Remove the pans from the oven, holding them with kitchen towels. Let the cakes cool slightly. After using the edge of a knife, we pass it between the sides of the molds; if the cakes are slightly stuck to the mold, they will easily come off. One by one, turn the molds upside down and place the bases on a metal grid. Carefully remove them baking paper, cover the cakes with a kitchen towel and let them cool to room temperature.

Step 2: prepare the cream for the layer.

While the cakes are cooling, prepare the cream for the layer. Place pieces of softened butter, pre-cut into cubes, in a deep bowl. Place a container under the mixer blades and beat the ingredient at medium speed for 8 minutes. Then we add to it cream cheese and continue to beat the mixture for 5 minutes until smooth. Then add the cream and continue mixing the cream ingredients for another 2 – 3 minutes. After the required time has passed, without stopping the mixer, add condensed milk and beat the mixture in a bowl 10 minutes, smoothly adjusting the speed of the kitchen appliance from medium to highest speed. The cream will be medium thick with a sour taste.

Step 3: form the cake.

While the cream was being prepared, the cakes had cooled completely, cut each one into 2 - 3 layers. We put an oilcloth on the kitchen table, on top of it is one of the layers of dough, let’s say the one without chocolate. Then place the chocolate base on the white cake base and lightly trim its edges at an angle. Then we put the white base on the chocolate cake again and also smoothly cut it off at an angle, thus forming a bell-shaped foundation. Then we cut out a circle in the middle of the top base, place it on each cake layer one by one and make the same hole in the center of each. Now we remove all the bases, leaving only the bottom one, grease it with a generous portion of cream for the layer and place the second cake layer on it. We alternate the cream and cake layers until we get a bell-shaped foundation again. Then we take the Barbie doll and wrap her legs tightly with plastic cling film. We insert it into the middle of the cake, and fill the empty space around the doll with pieces from the cake layers so that the doll does not wobble during decoration. We leave the cake in this form on the kitchen table, and during this time we prepare the second butter cream for lubrication.

Step 4: prepare the lubricating cream.

Place softened butter, pre-cut into cubes, in a deep bowl. Add to it the required amount of condensed milk, powdered sugar and place the container under the clean and dry mixer blades. Turn on the kitchen appliance at medium speed and beat the ingredients for 10 minutes until smooth, velvety texture without lumps. During the mixing process, increase the speed of the mixer from medium to high; in this step, the main thing is not to beat the butter so that it does not go into flakes. Wrap up top part dolls with plastic cling film and grease the foundation of the cake with butter cream on all sides. Carefully transfer “Barbie with a Skirt” to a large flat dish and put the cake in the refrigerator for 30 – 35 minutes for the cream to harden.

Step 5: prepare the mastic.

Place marshmallows in a deep bowl. Pour in 2 tablespoons of pure distilled water. We take another deep bowl and fill it halfway with regular running water, then place a container with marshmallows on it and send the resulting structure to the microwave oven for 30 seconds. After on kitchen appliance The timer clicks, open the door and mix the marshmallow mixture with a tablespoon. Close the microwave again and set the time for 10 minutes. The marshmallow will take quite a long time to dissolve, from 25 to 35 minutes, it all depends on the power microwave oven. Therefore, every 10 minutes it is worth stirring the marshmallow mass, gradually bringing it to a smooth texture without lumps. When the marshmallow mass has completely melted, remove the bowl from the microwave, pour liquid vanilla extract into the aromatic mass and stir the mixture with a tablespoon until smooth. Take a fine mesh sieve and sift about 800 grams of powdered sugar through it onto a clean, dry kitchen counter. Make a hole in the sweet mixture and carefully pour the marshmallow mixture into it. We begin to knead the mastic like dough until it becomes soft and pliable; slight sticking to your hands is allowed. Then, using a kitchen spatula, divide the mastic into several parts, their number depends on how much colored mastic you want to get in the end. We leave the largest piece for the train and the smallest piece for the cape. Using wooden kitchen skewers, apply a couple of drops to each piece of mastic one by one. food coloring the desired color. Mix it with mastic so that the color is uniform without sharp streaks or dark spots. Separate from all the mastic small piece for the decor that will be used at the moment, wrap the rest of the mastic in plastic cling film so that it does not weather.

Step 6: prepare the decorations.

Place the pieces of mastic from which the decor will be made, one by one, on the kitchen table, sprinkled with a small layer of powdered sugar, and roll them out with a rolling pin into layers up to a thickness of 2 – 3 millimeters. We take stacks intended for modeling from plasticine and any figures for baking; small parts from a doll set are also suitable, for example a comb, a spoon, a plate and much more. We turn on our imagination 100% and start cutting out decorations for the “sweet dress”, not forgetting that the doll is currently a princess and should look magical. The details of the decorations can be absolutely anything, for example flowers, hearts, leaves, stars, circles, diamonds, it all depends on the desired composition that will result in the end.

Step 7: decorate the cake.

After all the decorations are prepared, remove the cake from the refrigerator. Using a metal kitchen spatula, smooth out the buttercream. Sprinkle the kitchen table with a small layer of powdered sugar and place a piece of mastic on it, intended for the skirt. Roll out the mastic into a round layer up to a thickness of 3 – 4 millimeters and cut a hole in the center of the circle with a knife. Carefully place the “skirt” on the foundation of the cake. We straighten the skirt with folds so that the “train” is waves, and remove the cling film from the top of the doll. Sprinkle the table again with powdered sugar and roll out the second part of the mastic, intended for the top cape, into a rectangle. We design the lower ends of the “cape” as desired; it can be any embossed pattern or cut out figures. We lightly collect the mastic from the wide side and put it on the doll’s upper skirt in the form of a cape. Then we make a top for the doll, as well as a belt that will cover the sections of the “train” and “cape”. Pour a small amount of clean distilled water into a small bowl. We arm ourselves with a thin artistic brush, and lightly moistening the decor with liquid, glue flowers, leaves and stars onto the surface of the “sweet dress” in any order. Afterwards, using a dry wide brush, carefully brush off the remaining powdered sugar from the “sweet dress” and grease it with a small layer of water using the same brush, now the cake will be slightly shiny. We let down Barbie's hair, lower our hands, very carefully cover the cake with plastic cling film and put it in the refrigerator for 2 hours so that the sweet miracle is soaked in the cream.

- – Instead of liquid vanilla extract can be used vanilla sugar or vanillin, the latter should be added very carefully, since a large amount of vanillin can impart finished product bitter taste.

- – For decoration, you can use any mastic, for example sugar.

- – When preparing the cream for the layer, you can replace the cream cheese with fat whole cottage cheese, but before that it should be rubbed through a sieve with a fine mesh, so that there are no unpleasant small grains in the cottage cheese.

- – Cake decorations are not important, you can come up with any other design and decoration for the “sweet dress”.
