Introduction

Research work“Vegetables and fruits are vitamin products!” aimed at studying the basics of a healthy lifestyle and healthy eating. Relevance My topic is that we live in an area where winter lasts 8 months. Many people experience the effects of winter and spring vitamin deficiencies and hypovitaminosis - conditions caused by the absence or deficiency of vitamins. I wonder what the role of vegetables and fruits is in human nutrition, in which vegetables and fruits vitamins can be found? Hypothesis: Knowing that vegetables and fruits are the main source of vitamins, we assume that if you regularly include them in the diet, the number of sick children will become smaller. Target Our research project is to ensure that as many adults and children as possible learn about the benefits of consuming vitamins. Tasks: Learn the history of the discovery of vitamins. Study the effect of vitamins on human health. To identify, through questionnaires and surveys, what the situation is with the consumption of vitamins among primary schoolchildren. Draw conclusions about the work

Main part

Every person should be healthy. Health is a wealth that cannot be bought with money or received as a gift. People themselves strengthen or destroy what is given to them by nature. One of essential elements, on which our health depends is nutrition. Everyone is well aware of the proverb “A man is what he eats.” It is important to eat not only enough, but also correctly. The body should receive a variety of foods rich in proteins, fats, carbohydrates, as well as vitamins and minerals.

In addition to basic nutrients, our body, especially during growth, needs vitamins. A person needs about 30 different vitamins to maintain performance and resistance to diseases. Lack of vitamins causes vitamin deficiency. Everyone probably knows that vitamins are an essential part of food. They often say: “This food is healthy, it contains a lot of vitamins.” But few people know exactly what vitamins are, where they come from, what foods they are found in, what importance they have for our health, how and when to take vitamins and in what quantities. In my work I will answer all these questions.

The history of vitamins.

From the encyclopedia I learned that the word “vitamin” was coined by the American scientist Casimir Funk. He discovered that the substance “amine” contained in the shell of rice grains is vital. Combining the Latin word vita “life” with “amine”, we got the word vitamin. Vitamins (lat. vita life + amines) are low molecular weight organic compounds of various chemical natures that are absolutely necessary for the normal functioning of organisms. Are irreplaceable nutrients, because they, with the exception of nicotinic acid, are not synthesized by the human body and come mainly as part of food. Vitamins are very important for our body. Ozhegov’s explanatory dictionary says: vitamin- an organic substance, the primary source of which is usually a plant, necessary for the normal functioning of the body, as well as a preparation containing such substances. The causes of diseases associated with poor nutrition were discovered in 1880 by N.I. Lunin (research on mice). The body's needs are not limited to proteins, fats, carbohydrates and salts. The body also needs vitamins.

Types of vitamins.

There are a lot of them, but the most important ones are vitamins A, B, C, D. Each vitamin performs its own function, and one vitamin cannot replace another.

Vitamin A is found in foods: cauliflower, carrots, watermelon, green onions. Vitamin A slows down the aging process, promotes normal metabolism, plays an important role in the formation of bones and teeth, as well as fat deposits, is necessary for the growth of new cells, and slows down the aging process. Contained in legumes, cereals, liver, dairy products, meat, fish, milk, tomatoes, apples, potatoes, cabbage, greens.

Vitamin B improves vision and relieves eye fatigue. Plays an important role in metabolism. Vitamin D is found in milk and eggs. Vitamin D is formed in the skin with the help of ultraviolet rays. It is important for the development of infants' bones and teeth. Contained in orange, apples, pomegranates, kiwi. The absence of this vitamin causes scurvy, which causes joints to stiffen, teeth to become loose and bones to weaken. Vitamin C plays an important role in our body, strengthens the immune system so that we do not get sick, and protects against bacteria.

Vitamins in food.

Vitamins are necessary for the normal functioning of the body, but the body is not able to produce these substances itself, and therefore must receive them through food. Most winter problems can be solved with proper nutrition. For breakfast you need to eat at least one fermented milk product - kefir, yogurt, fermented baked milk or yogurt. Their starter culture involves bacteria that increase the local immunity of the stomach and intestines. Oatmeal is healthy - it contains vitamins A, E, B1, B2, B6. To replenish vitamin reserves WITH, which helps the body recover from illness, you need to make friends with sauerkraut, fall in love with rosehip decoction or tea with lemon. But immune system You can’t boost yourself with just one vitamin. Nutritionists recommend that during the cold season, you should indulge in fruits and vegetables of yellow and orange colors - oranges, tangerines, grapefruits, lemons, pumpkin, boiled carrots.

In winter, vitamin deficiency is also strongly felt D– because it is produced in the body under the influence of sunlight. A lot of it is found in cod liver and eggs. In winter, you need, first of all, vitamins A, C, E, group B. This set improves immunity and performance. It is contained in almost any multivitamin complex. Thus, the diet of a modern schoolchild should include 500 ml of milk per day or fermented milk drink, 50 g cottage cheese, 20 g cheese, 50 g fish, 150 – 200 g meat products, 1 egg, 25 – 40 g butter, 15 – 30 g of vegetable oil, 15 – 20 g of sour cream.

What are the dangers of vitamin deficiency in children?

Vitamin deficiency in children, especially under conditions of increased stress during the school year, leads to a deterioration in the child’s health. Increased fatigue, weakness, decreased performance may be a consequence of vitamin deficiency; irritability and anxiety – high susceptibility to infections. Lack of vitamin D in food leads to the development of rickets (stunted growth, bone deformation) in children. If the body does not receive enough vitamin A, the disease “night blindness” may appear. There are not many vitamins left in overwintered vegetables and fruits. By December, the amount of vitamin C in potatoes decreases by half, and by March – by 4 times. Vitamin deficiency can be eliminated with the help of multivitamin complexes intended for children of different ages. A modern multivitamin complex contains a complete set of vitamins. Research confirms that multivitamin complexes must be taken constantly - in courses. An example of a multivitamin complex is Alvitil, Centrum, Complivit, Alphabet, Vitrum Junior, Multimax, Sana-Sol and others.

Practical part.

In my research activities, I addressed questions to teachers, asked parents, used Internet resources and printed publications, visited the school and village library, went on a tour to the school canteen, with the help of my parents I got acquainted with recipes for cooking vegetables and fruits, and with the help of the teacher conducted sociological survey, competition of drawings and crafts.

How did the excursion to the school canteen and the market end? Vegetables and fruits (cabbage, potatoes, onions, carrots, beets, tomatoes, sweet pepper, greens, bananas, pears, apples, oranges, tangerines). The chefs told us about the benefits of local fruits and vegetables. At the market I studied the assortment of vegetables and fruits, found out their prices, found out which products were in demand (all vegetables, apples, grapes, oranges and tangerines).

I brought “A Piggy Bank of Vitamins” to class hour different apples, together with the guys we observed their properties and tasted them. The fruits were washed thoroughly. It was noted that foreign apples are more difficult to wash; their skins are coated with a special compound, which is not particularly beneficial for the human body. Fruits grown in distant countries are much inferior in composition to those ripened in our country. Imported fruits are usually picked unripe so that they do not spoil on the road; their peels are coated with special compounds to give them a marketable appearance. The most healthy fruits- just picked from the tree. They contain more vitamins. Therefore, you need to buy domestic apples.

We set a task: to find out how the parents of our class feel about vitamins. For this purpose, a survey was conducted among parents. 48 parents of two 4th grades were interviewed. The results are as follows: 1 All 48 parents buy vitamins for their child 100% 2 Buy vitamins from time to time 20% In spring (autumn) 68% Only when they get sick 12% 3 Give their children multivitamins 37% Natural products 63% 4 It is possible to give vitamins from natural sources products 82% From multivitamins 18% 5 They believe that a child’s health depends on the consumption of vitamins 94% They don’t think so 6% Together with the teacher, we conducted a social survey of our school teachers: Where do you buy vegetables and fruits? What vegetables and fruits do you buy most often? Do you make freshly squeezed juice? What fruits and vegetables do you use to juice? 10 teachers took part in the survey (the data obtained were entered into a table). Based on the results of the survey, we made the following conclusions: 1) Fruits and vegetables are bought mainly in stores. 2) They buy more often: apples, grapes, pears, bananas, oranges (all vegetables). 3) Only 3 of the respondents prepare freshly squeezed juice. 4) Prepare juice from oranges, apples and berry juice.

I tested “Do I have vitamin deficiency?” The results showed the following:

A lack of vitamins in the body of students can occur due to various reasons:

– an intensive period of growth and maturation of the body at this age;

cooking food often leads to large losses of vitamins;

– lack of vegetables and fruits in the diet;

– during active sports activities.

She also monitored the health of the children in our class in the autumn and spring. During this time, the children took vitamins at home every day. The results of the incidence of acute respiratory infections are as follows

Conclusion

With a varied and balanced diet, including vegetables and fruits, the body receives the necessary set and amount of vitamins. If you experience lethargy, headaches, loss of appetite, or irritability, especially in the spring, you should think about whether there are enough vitamins in your food. I believe that in my work I have proven that the body of a primary school student needs to take vitamins. My parents agree with my opinion. This can be seen from the analysis of the questionnaire results. In order to acquaint my parents and my classmates with the results, I spoke at the “Vitamin Piggy Bank” class hour and at a parent meeting and gave a quiz. The guys and I decided to reflect the most interesting stages of the project in our drawings. The result of the activity was: presentation, booklet, photo report, exhibition of children's works.

Conclusions

The hypothesis was confirmed. Regular consumption of vegetables and fruits rich in beneficial elements has improved the quality of health of students in my class, the number of sick children has decreased. The number of missed lessons due to health reasons this school year has decreased by 60 lessons. And also: beautiful products are not always tasty and healthy; vegetables and fruits grown in our country are healthier, tastier and more profitable. Eat as many vegetables and fruits as possible, especially in winter period. Parents understand the importance of children taking vitamins. They buy vitamins seasonally. Most families have a real opportunity to buy multivitamins; a few have the opportunity to constantly give their children natural products. All parents believe that the child’s health depends on his intake of vitamins.

Objectives of our research:

We eat potatoes almost every day. We are so accustomed to it that we cannot do without it, we consider it our vegetable. But the birthplace of potatoes, like many other vegetables, is considered to be South America. And the first bag of potatoes was sent to Russia from Holland by Peter I. Potatoes used to be called “earth apple,” and in some regions of Russia mashed potatoes are still called apple cider. At court balls, potatoes were served as a rare and tasty dish and sprinkled with sugar.

A LITTLE ABOUT FRUIT

Fruits (from Latin fructus - fruit), juicy edible fruits of cultivated and wild plants. Fruits, like vegetables, are of great importance in human nutrition. Everyone knows that fruits are rich in vitamins and the human body has the hardest time experiencing their deficiency in winter and spring, which is often the cause of infectious and non-infectious diseases. Many types of fruits are good and within long term are saved in fresh in refrigerators with artificial cooling and controlled gas composition. Apples, pears, citrus fruits, grapes, and bananas last the longest. They are also frozen, dried and canned.

    . The only exception is bananas - they lose their aroma and taste from the cold.

Prefer fruit to candy

Very important products!

My mother and I decided to compare the orange juice that is sold in stores and the juice that we squeezed ourselves. To do this, we purchased 1 kilogram of oranges and, for comparison, bought 1 liter of Fruit Garden juice. My mother and my older brother were indispensable assistants in conducting this experiment; I could not have done it without them.

The fruits are washed, the processor is ready, we begin to produce juice.

I cut each orange into two equal parts and start squeezing the juice.

And this is what we got: 0.4 liters of juice and all that was left of the oranges.

Now I’ll try which juice tastes better: store-bought or home-made “with love.”

Certainly tastier juice prepared with your own hands, because store-bought juice has a suspiciously unnatural taste. And with this experiment, we found out that from 1 kilogram of oranges, only 400 ml of juice is obtained. A kilogram of oranges costs on average 50 rubles, therefore, a liter of natural orange juice should cost at least 125 rubles. And we bought a liter of juice for 50 rubles, so make a conclusion about whether the juice they are selling us is natural!

Thus, our hypothesis is correct. !

Research work on the topic “Vegetables and fruits – vitamin products?!”

The work was completed by:

MKOU "Kamenskaya secondary school No. 1 with UIOP"

Yasenko Elena and Chekmezova Albina

Quite recently our school held primary school days. For us, first graders, this was the first time, a new and very interesting adventure. As a whole class, we took an extramural trip along ecological paths in the forest, participated in zoological fun, drew, sang songs, and read poetry. And one of the questions that interested us was the question of vitamins. Namely, vitamins that are found in vegetables and fruits. Nowadays, our parents tell us every now and then to eat fruits and vegetables; they contain vitamins that will help us study well and fight various diseases.

So we, students of 1st “B” class Chekmezova Albina and Yasenko Lena, decided to conduct research and consider the following questions:

v What is each vitamin for?

v Where and in what is it located?

v How much does the body need?

The goal of our work is:– determine the effect of vitamins on human health.

Objectives of our research:

  1. Select and study literature on this topic.
  2. Find out the origin of the word “Vitamin”.
  3. Assess the importance of vitamins for humans.
  4. Find out which foods contain vitamins.
  5. Conduct a survey of students in grade 1 “b”: what do they know about vitamins.
  6. Analyze students’ knowledge about the importance of vitamins.

7. Provide classmates with the necessary information about vitamins.

At the beginning of our work, we put forward the following hypothesis: if food is rich in vitamins, then it is healthy...?!

Vegetables are root crops, bulbous, leaf and some other plants grown in garden beds, as well as their fruits themselves. Root vegetables (carrots, beets, parsley, radishes). Onion vegetables(onion, garlic). Leafy vegetables (cabbage, lettuce). Fruit vegetables (tomatoes, cucumbers).

Vegetables are a culinary term that refers to the edible part (for example, a fruit or tuber) of a plant, as well as any solid plant food, with the exception of fruits, cereals and nuts. From a botanical point of view, vegetables are the edible parts of herbaceous plants. culinary term"vegetable" can apply to edible fruits, which are berries and fruits.
Fruit (lat. fructus - fruit) is a juicy edible fruit of a tree or shrub. Some berries are also a type of fruit.
In Russian, “fruit” is not a botanical term, but a household and economic term. On the farm edible plants and edible parts of plants are divided into fruits, vegetables, nuts, grains, etc. According to the traditional classification, fruits are the juicy fruits of trees and shrubs. Vegetables are fruits or other edible parts of herbaceous plants. But nowadays, edible sweet berries (even in herbaceous plants) are also usually classified as fruits.
In botany in Russian, instead of the word “fruit,” the term “fruit” is used, denoting any plant organ containing seeds, formed from the ovary of a flower, regardless of edibility. Among the fruits, the following varieties are often distinguished:
1. Fruits made from juicy pulp with seeds (cucumbers, tomatoes, oranges, melons, berries, apples);

2. Fruits made of juicy pulp with one large central stone (cherries, plums, peaches);

3. Dry fruits (nuts, beans, peas).

It turns out that from a botanical point of view, what we are accustomed to consider vegetables, namely cucumbers, tomatoes, nuts, beans and peas, are “fruits”, and therefore “fruits”.
In some other languages, fruit and fruit are referred to by the same word.

Many vegetables were brought to us from different countries. For example, people became acquainted with cabbage a long time ago. The tribes of Spain were the first to cultivate cabbage. Why was cabbage called that? “Cabbage” comes from the Latin word “kaput” - “head”. She was very loved in Ancient Egypt. Boiled cabbage The Egyptians served it after dinner as a sweet dish.

Fresh cabbage leaves contain a large set of vitamins: K, C, P, B1, B2, various acids, carbohydrates, enzymes, mineral salts and trace elements. Fresh cabbage juice contains an antiulcer factor, which promotes rapid scarring of stomach and duodenal ulcers, relieves pain, and improves overall well-being. Cabbage lowers cholesterol levels, normalizes metabolism, it is indispensable dietary product for obesity. The phytoncides contained in cabbage have a detrimental effect on a number of pathogens. Cabbage is very good for digestion. Throughout the winter in sauerkraut are saved necessary for a person vitamins. It was believed that cabbage helps with liver and stomach diseases, heals wounds, abscesses, and improves vision. Cabbage is very healthy vegetable which must be eaten.

A frequent guest on our table is the cucumber, its homeland is India, but it turns out that cucumbers were cultivated in Ancient Egypt and Greece. Cucumber is not rich nutrients, but still it is a favorite vegetable. Like cabbage, cucumber has been known for a very long time. In Ancient Egypt, rich people drank cucumber juice for health, the juice was used to treat fevers and dog bites, and was used as an indispensable remedy that cleanses and protects the skin from aging. Cucumbers have been eaten for about 6,000 years! Translated from ancient Greek, “cucumber” means “unripe, unripe.” Indeed, the fruits go to the table unripe, and ripe yellow cucumbers are used for seeds. The fruits contain fiber, potassium salts, vitamins A, B1, C, and some iodine. Cucumber juice is used as an expectorant for bronchitis. High content Potassium makes cucumber juice very beneficial for people with high and low blood pressure. And also cucumber juice and water infusion green peel is used as a whitening and anti-inflammatory agent in cosmetic practice.

Another favorite vegetable grown in our garden beds is the tomato. The word "tomato" comes from the Italian "pomio doro", which means " golden apple" The homeland of the tomato is Italy. A rich man brought tomatoes to Russia from France and for a long time tomatoes were grown for beauty, like flowers in a flower bed. But in the end there was a brave man who tasted the fruit and remained alive. In Russia, they first began to grow it in the gardens of Odessa in 1850.

This juice successfully combines nutritional value with low calorie content. There is almost no fiber in tomato juice, so it is especially indicated for diseases of the digestive system. Tomato juice It is useful for children, weakened patients, and is also recommended for nursing and pregnant women to drink.

We eat potatoes almost every day. We are so accustomed to it that we cannot do without it, we consider it our vegetable. But the birthplace of potatoes, like many other vegetables, is considered to be South America. And the first bag of potatoes was sent to Russia from Holland by Peter I . Potatoes used to be called “earth apple,” and in some regions of Russia mashed potatoes are still called apple cider. At court balls, potatoes were served as a rare and tasty dish and sprinkled with sugar.

Potatoes contain a large amount of potassium, which helps remove water from our body and table salt and therefore improves metabolism. Particularly rich in potassium baked potatoes, in this form the potatoes retain maximum useful substances. In potatoes large quantities contains starch, which is pure form is not absorbed by the body, so nutritionists advise eating potatoes several times a week.

Potatoes can also be used to treat burns - for example, if you were burned by boiling oil or a hot utensil. Potatoes relieve pain very well and then there won’t even be blisters left on the burned area. My mother and I tested this method. To save time, you can not even peel or grate the potatoes, but simply wash them, cut them lengthwise and apply them to the sore spot. The main thing is not to spare the potatoes, change them as they heat up and apply them until the pain subsides.

A potato compress helps well at high temperatures: rub it on coarse grater two raw large potatoes, mixed with one tablespoon of vinegar and placed on a clean cloth or gauze, folded in several layers. The finished compress is placed on the forehead, and after a while you need to change it by preparing a fresh one. This method helps reduce the temperature within an hour.

A very healthy vegetable for our body is carrots. Carrots were familiar to people 2 thousand years BC. The Romans consumed it as a delicacy. IN European countries carrots appear in the 16th century. It was used for medicinal purposes. Carrots contain almost the entire vitamin alphabet. It is useful for the prevention of anemia and also has antimicrobial properties.

In the Middle Ages, carrots were considered a delicacy for gnomes. There was a belief: if you take a bowl of steamed carrots into the forest in the evening, then in the morning you will find an ingot of gold in it; at night the gnomes will eat carrots and pay generously for their favorite food.

Trusting people carried bowls into the forest, but, alas, they did not find gold in them.Useful and medicinal properties carrots are explained by its rich composition. Carrots contain vitaminsB, PP, WITH,E, K, it contains carotene - a substance that is converted into vitamin A in the human body. A lot of it is in carrots minerals, necessary for the human body: potassium, iron, phosphorus, magnesium, cobalt, copper, iodine, zinc, chromium, nickel, fluorine and others. Carrots contain essential oils, which determine its peculiar smell. Healing properties Carrots are associated with strengthening the retina. It is advisable for people suffering from rapid fatigue to eat this product. The beneficial properties of carrots are used in human nutrition. Good to chew on raw carrots, as it strengthens the gums. Like in carrots great content vitamin A, which promotes growth, it is especially useful for children to eat. Vitamin A is also necessary for normal vision; it keeps the skin and mucous membranes in good condition. Carrots, carrot dishes and especially carrot juice are used in therapeutic nutrition, for vitamin deficiency, liver diseases, heart disease. vascular system, kidneys, stomach, mineral metabolism disorders. Carrot juice contains a lot of carotene and vitamin A, as well as calcium, phosphorus and iron, which is why it is considered almost the elixir of youth. carrot juice improves appetite and digestion, strengthens teeth, nervous system, increases the body's resistance to infectious diseases. Carrot juice is essential for improving vision.

The vitamins found in vegetables help maintain normal immunity and energy levels of our body. For this purpose you can use simple salads, where to start breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Here are a few such recipes:

Multivitamin salad.

Grate raw peeled beets and chop finely white cabbage, apples, carrots and onions. Mix everything and season with sour cream.

Carrot and apple salad.

Grate fresh carrots on a coarse grater, cut the apple into strips, mix and season with sour cream.

Beet salad with apples.

Grate 1-2 boiled beets on a coarse grater, add 2 grated apples and season with sour cream, salt and sugar to taste.

Eat a lot of vegetables useful vitamins and microelements for our body!

A LITTLE ABOUT FRUIT

Like everyone else, I, Elena Yasenko, love to eat fruit; everyone knows that they are not only tasty, but also very healthy for our body. And I decided to find out why they are useful, and this is what I found out.

Many types of fruits are kept fresh well and for a long time in refrigerators with artificial cooling and controlled gas composition. Apples, pears, citrus fruits, grapes, and bananas last the longest. They are also frozen, dried and canned.

Here are some tips on how to benefit from eating fruits:

  • Fruits are best eaten an hour after the main meal to avoid further fermentation and increased gas formation. Or half an hour before meals.
  • You should not leave fruit for a long time, much less store it, in the light - vitamins in them are easily destroyed by sunlight. It's best to remove themin the refrigerator. The only exception is bananas - they lose their aroma and taste from the cold.
  • It is healthier to eat fruit directly with the skin - it contains the most vitamins, but this is only if you are sure that they have not been previously subjected to chemical treatment. Therefore, it is best to eat fruits from your own garden or buy from people who grow them themselves. Remember that in the store, to increase shelf life, all fruits and vegetables are often treated with chemicals.
  • you can freeze fruits and berries for the winter in the freezer - in this case, they will retain all their beneficial properties and vitamins and will be a good help in cold weather.

Most vitamins are not formed in the human body and do not accumulate, but come only from food. In addition to minerals and vitamins, berries and fruits also contain other beneficial substances that have a beneficial effect on the body. That is why berries, fruits and vegetables should be on our table constantly.

Prefer fruit to candy

Very important products!

My mother and I decided to compare the orange juice that is sold in stores and the juice that we squeezed ourselves. To do this, we purchased 1 kilogram of oranges and, for comparison, bought 1 liter of Fruit Garden juice. My mother and my older brother were indispensable assistants in conducting this experiment; I could not have done it without them.Of course, juice made by yourself is tastier, because store-bought juice has a suspiciously unnatural taste. And with this experiment, we found out that from 1 kilogram of oranges, only 400 ml of juice is obtained. A kilogram of oranges costs on average 50 rubles, therefore, a liter of natural orange juice should cost at least 125 rubles. And we bought a liter of juice for 50 rubles,so conclude thatIs the juice they sell us natural?

Press the juice yourself and you will be sure that it is natural and will benefit the body!!!

The result of our research:

During the study, we found that vitamins are very important for health. There are a lot of them, but the most important are vitamins A, B, C, D.

We found out which foods are richer in vitamins.

We have proven that vitamins affect all systems human body: they are important for the functioning of the heart, make our bones strong, improve vision, and help to cope with colds faster.

Thus, our hypothesis is correct. !

    Vitamins in fruits

    Vitamins that vegetables are rich in

    In the spring, when fruit abundance becomes a dream, you have to look for a worthy replacement in the form of vegetables, in particular root vegetables.

    In addition to vitamins, vegetables contain a lot of:

    • copper;
    • zinc;
    • magnesium;
    • phosphorus;
    • sodium;
    • manganese;
    • calcium;
    • gland.

    Each element must certainly be present in the diet of any person, especially a child. Boiling or stewing reduces the benefits of foods, so many of them, such as green onions, cabbage, peas, peppers, and herbs, are healthier to eat raw.

    Vitamin Vegetable Amount (mg/100g)
    3,0
    Cabbage

    Sweet pepper

    Corn

    0,1
    Cheremsha

    Sweet green pepper

    Red tomato

    0,3 Eggplant

    White cabbage

    Corn

    wheat sprouts

    3,5

    As the table shows, fruits and vegetables contain the same vitamins, but they are contained in different quantities. For example, citrus fruits, traditionally considered the main source of natural ascorbic acid, are significantly inferior to some vegetables. The content of vitamin C in lemon is 40 mg/100 g, in a similar amount Brussels sprouts as much as 120 mg, in pepper - 150 mg.

    Something more about vitamins

    Some vegetables and fruits contain “unique” vitamins that are not found in other fruits: ,. found in products of animal origin.

    Some vegetables contain an almost complete list of all existing elements, but despite this, they cannot be considered more useful than all the others.

    About the dangers of vitamins

    • ascorbic acid causes allergies;
    • tocopherol (E) provokes colitis and constipation;
    • participants cause muscle cramps, dizziness, and stool disorders.

    Knowing what vitamins can be found in vegetables and fruits, it is easier for people with health problems to adjust their diet and formulate daily menu. For example, vitamin D is especially useful for those who are prone to overeating and suffer from obesity, but it can be dangerous for chronic inflammation of the liver and kidneys.

    Plant foods rich in vitamin A are contraindicated for allergies and drowsiness, and C is harmful for obesity and diabetes mellitus. Therefore, having serious health problems associated with the need to give up certain foods, doctors recommend replenishing the lack of nutrients with the help of medicines and dietary supplements.

    About storing and preparing plant foods

    Root vegetables can become a worthy replacement fruits unavailable in winter and spring. But no one is stopping us from preparing the same sweet pepper and green beans for the winter. Are vitamins preserved in frozen vegetables, berries and fruits? Certainly.

    Maximum safety useful properties Tips regarding freezing rules will help:

    • use the “fast freezing” mode;
    • put fruit in freezer immediately after washing and cutting;
    • install temperature regime not lower than – 25°С;
    • Divide foods intended for freezing into small portions sufficient for one-time use.

    How to properly cook vegetables to preserve vitamins? They only need to be placed in boiling water and the pan must be covered with a lid. After cooking, remove from the broth. All this will allow you to preserve the maximum of nutrients. But cooking is not the most preferable option. It is better to steam vegetables or microwave them.

    Nutritionist opinion

    No matter how healthy fruits, berries and vegetables are, they will not be a complete replacement for protein foods, and vice versa. But you still need to know what vitamins are contained in vegetables and fruits.

    Information about vitamin composition fruits and vegetables are useful for people who are on a diet or who deliberately refuse to consume meat products. It is worth considering that fruits contain less B vitamins than food of animal origin, and find a worthy replacement for them.

    It is difficult for city residents to get the freshest vegetables and fruits, and their long-term storage leads to a partial loss of beneficial properties. Therefore, to prevent the symptoms that often appear in the spring, it is advisable to resort to multivitamins. But they should be taken only after consulting a doctor.

    Progress of the lesson

    Guys, look at the board. Determine the topic of our lesson.

    What goals will we set for ourselves for the lesson? (That’s right, learn more about the benefits of vegetables, fruits, berries; and also get acquainted with the vitamins they contain)

    We are all familiar with the word “vitamins”.

    What does it mean?

    Did you know that the word “vitamin” was coined by the Polish biophysicist Kazimir Funk? He discovered that the substance “amine” contained in the shell of rice grains is vital. “Vita” translated from Latin means “life”, which means “vitamins” are substances necessary for life. Vitamins play a huge role in human life.

    Most vitamins are not produced in the human body, but are obtained only through food. Berries, fruits and vegetables are the main sources of vitamins. Children need to eat 500-600 g of vegetables, berries and fruits per day.

    Vegetables are a treasure trove of vitamins. Thanks to your healing properties vegetables become “doctors” for sick people.

    Carrots and beans treat anemia for those children whose cheeks need to turn pink. Pepper heals gums. Lettuce and tomato help you lose weight. Cabbage treats stomach ulcers. Turnips, zucchini, eggplant and watermelon help those with liver pain. Grandparents who have risen blood pressure, turn to pumpkin, parsley and beets for help.

    More than 120 species are grown in the gardens of our planet. vegetable crops.

    Guys, have you already noticed that he came to visit us today? cook. Let's give him the floor. (a child dressed as a chef comes to the board)

      Root vegetables should be thoroughly washed before peeling them in their entire, uncut form;

      Peeled and chopped vegetables should not be soaked in water for a long time. It is better to clean and wash them immediately before preparing them;

      dressing salads with sauce or vegetable oil should be done immediately before using them;

      It is better to boil potatoes whole, in their skins;

      place vegetables in boiling water;

      It is better not to cut greens, onions, garlic, tomatoes, radishes, cucumbers, but crush them whole;

      It is best to steam vegetables and bake them in foil.

    Thanks guys for listening to my advice. I hope you find them useful.

    Berries can be called small storehouses of vitamins. They also contain many other useful substances. They ripen throughout the summer. It's very important to eat different berries, because each has something of its own, special.

    Vitamins are different. But the most common are 4. These are vitamins A, B, C, D. Each vitamin has its own characteristics.

    - Let's take a closer look at some vitamins.

    Vitamin A

    Is your vision decreasing? Can't see objects clearly in the evening? You certainly lack vitamins...... A. It is also called growth vitamin. It is found in dairy and fermented milk products, fish, in carrots, lettuce, tomatoes, onions.

    Vitamin B

    If you lack B vitamins, turn to foods such as bread, cereal, cottage cheese, cheese, eggs, cabbage, beans, peas, onions, and nuts.

    How can you tell if you are lacking B vitamins? Just look at yourself in the mirror: if there is a deficiency, cracks, ulcers in the corners of the mouth, and peeling of the skin form.

    Vitamin C

    The most popular vitamin. Contained in almost all fresh vegetables, fruits, berries: in rose hips, in lemons, in cabbage, garlic, onions, dill, in black currant, raspberries... If there is a shortage of it, a person more often suffers from colds and infectious diseases.

    - Now I invite you to go on another exciting journey to the city of Vitamins.

    Remember that obstacles await us along the way, and in order to overcome them, we need to be friendly and help each other.

    We have 3 teams (children sit at three tables).

    First stop on our way - “Collect a proverb”

    Guys, now each team will receive an envelope with a cut proverb about health. You must put together a proverb and explain its meaning.

    A healthy body means a healthy mind.

    If you are healthy, you will get everything.

    Health is more valuable than wealth.

    You will save your health and get away from trouble.

    If you eat everything, food is poison.

    “Count the objects in the picture”

    Exercise. Lay out the cards by groups: (in baskets)

      We eat the tops (ground parts of the plant - shoots, leaves, fruits);

      We eat underground parts of plants (modified roots - root vegetables)

    Checking - PHYSMINUTE "Tops and Roots":

    - if we eat underground parts of plants, we squat;

    If we eat above-ground parts of plants, we stand on our toes, hands up.

    Delicious - finger licking good -

    Orange balls.

    But I don't play them

    I always eat them. (oranges,tangerines)

    Buried in the ground in May

    And they didn’t take it out for a hundred days,

    And in the fall they began to dig -

    Not just one was found, but ten!

    What's its name, kids? ( potato)

    In the summer, without fear of the heat,

    The red balls were maturing.

    They have matured as if by choice.

    What kind of vegetable? (Tomato)

    These tough guys

    They hide in the leaves in the garden bed.

    Twin couch potatoes

    Turning green... (cucumbers)

    Christmas trees are growing in the garden,

    Their needles do not prick.

    Cleverly hidden in the ground

    Their spine... (carrot)

    Oh, we'll cry with him,

    If we want to clean it.

    But a hundred ailments

    Bitter will heal us... (onion)

    White, skinny root vegetable
    It grows underground.
    And although he is very bitter,
    It is good for us to eat.
    Everyone, from adults to children
    They eat it with jellied meat. ( Horseradish)

    They came to us with melons

    Striped balls. ( watermelons)

    I'm a drop of summer on a thin leg,
    They weave boxes and baskets for me.
    He who loves me is happy to bow down.
    And the name was given to me by my native land. ( Strawberries)

    - Next stop

    Exercise. Children take turns, 1 from each team comes to the board, distributes the fruits of plants into 4 groups (according to the method of growth): in the garden, in the vegetable garden, in the field, in the forest.

    "Black box" (3 people per team)

    (the guys take turns taking out dummies of vegetables and fruits with their eyes closed, describing them and calling them).
