Winter gardens. Winter gardens Banquet hall "Yesenin"

As it turns out, the first thing Muscovites remember when the conversation turns to brunch is brunch at the Golden Ring (“Brunch? Yes, at the Golden Ring.” Oyster, caviar!!!). Therefore, any review would be incomplete without telling us what kind of brunches are held at the Winter Garden.

From the welcoming hotel lobby you take a silent elevator to the 22nd floor and enter the hall. A bird's eye view of Moscow opens up to your eyes. This is a little breathtaking: a lot of light, a lot of greenery and flowers around, the impression of the unbearable lightness of being. It is best not to rush to sit down, but to walk around the hall, choosing a cozy place and the most pleasant view. The waiter will offer you drinks to suit your taste (strong alcohol, wines, champagne, juices) and will unobtrusively serve your table throughout your stay in the restaurant.

Once you've gotten used to it, you can pay attention to the food picturesquely arranged on the tables. During brunch, the buffet principle applies: when approaching the tables, guests choose appetizers, hot dishes, soups, and then desserts. There is a sign with the name next to each dish. However, this does not mean that the helpless guests are left to their own devices. They will be happy to advise you, help you make your choice and deliver a full plate to your table. You can and even need to ask for advice: there are many dishes presented, and there is no opportunity to try everything.

Each brunch at the Winter Garden has an interesting name: “Caviar”, “Dolce Vita”, “Feast of Young Wine”, “Golden Domes”, “Lapland”... The theme of the brunch leaves its mark on the menu, but this does not mean that within At the Silk Road brunch, guests will be treated to only Asian cuisine. The menu is based on classic salads, side dishes and hot dishes, and thematic dishes change every time. Chinese salads, as it turns out, go well with traditional seafood salad and lamb salad. The Silk Road brunch couldn’t be complete without tender duck fillet in sweet sauce, but sea bass fillet was no less in demand.

You can't rush while eating, and even more so during brunch. Brunches at the Golden Ring are held from 13.00 to 20.00 on Saturdays and from 13.00 to 18.00 on Sundays. This is the optimal time to eat. Between courses there is the opportunity to have fun: at the Silk Road brunch, soft background music alternated with performances of oriental dancers. The performances are bright, impressive, not too short and not too long. Distracting from food and socializing just enough to move on to the next dish and the next topic with renewed vigor.

There is a special approach to little visitors here. If you want your child to get used to real food culture, then it will be useful to take him to brunch. There is no special children's menu, but there is also nothing that cannot be prepared for your child at your request. A variety of desserts, traditional and themed, prepared by the pastry chef, will not leave anyone big or small indifferent. Children have access to a special room with toys and animators. But it is far from certain that the need for it will arise. Children are well entertained by dancing, a cooking show from the chef and, of course, delicious food. Contrary to stereotypes, children here eat a lot, much more than usual. And this is an excellent indicator of the level of the restaurant.

Modern urban planning is increasingly using the opportunity to introduce elements of natural nature into the interiors of public buildings and structures. Compositions of evergreens, indoor and flowering plants create a special picturesqueness and have undeniable advantages in decorating recreation rooms over cold materials.

The winter garden in the lobby of the Leningrad Hotel, located on an area of 240 m, is a green foyer in front of the entrance to the restaurant. A wide paved path divides it into two parts, each of which is given its own individual character. Diversity is provided by individual marble slabs and inclusions of crushed marble. The main role in organizing space is given to plants, including flowering shrubs (acacia, jasmine), begonia, camellia, chlorophytum and many others. Benches allow you to relax and admire the most interesting compositions. The locations and outlines of reservoirs, the plan drawing and individual details are well thought out.

The most serious attention should be paid to details in such small gardens, but their shape and the material from which they are made should emphasize, above all, the attractiveness of the plants.

Ceramics became a wonderful addition to the Palm Greenhouse in Leningrad. Individual decorative white vases and their groups are included in table and floor compositions and look good against the background of a green carpet under fans of palm leaves. An example of a Japanese garden created in one of the greenhouses of the Botanical Garden in Leningrad shows that even on an area of 25 m2 you can create an amazing corner of nature. There are hills, stones, stylized canopies, a terrace - and everything is surrounded by miniature dwarf trees, bamboo, and roses. Winter gardens are often created in children's institutions. In them, children learn to care for plants and love nature. A winter garden has been created under a transparent dome around a picturesque pond in the Moscow Palace of Pioneers.

To accommodate such gardens, insulated passages between buildings are often used, which turn into real boulevards with lawns, shrubs, and flowers. In areas of expansion, you can place ponds, areas for quiet games, aquariums, and bird cages.

In the gallery connecting the two buildings of the Leningrad school, a winter garden was created (by engineer D. Demidova). Potted plants are planted in small areas along the side walls. The top surface is covered with pebbles. The central part of the gallery is left for the passage. At the end there is a decorative wall. Additional decorative elements - an aquarium, ceramic dishes, vases, masks, wood-trimmed walls - complement the interior well and harmoniously combine with the greenery.

Great importance is attached to the construction of “winter gardens” on the territory of industrial enterprises, especially in the Far North and areas with unfavorable climatic or sanitary conditions. They create an artificial microclimate and all the conditions for relaxation in between work.

The creation and operation of winter gardens in public buildings are associated with significant difficulties. Many plants do not tolerate a lack of light, drafts, or the lack of moisture necessary for them, so they not only develop poorly, but also quickly lose their decorative properties and may die. In such cases, the method of preserving plants or including artificial plants in compositions helps out. This happened when decorating the lobby of the World Trade Center hotel in Moscow. The interior is complemented by fountains, retaining walls, lamps, and stairs.

Artificial and preserved plants are often used in combination with decorative elements. A picturesque pond with a stream, a miniature bridge, with a stylized lantern is imitated; the banks are strewn with pebbles; stones of interesting shape and color attract attention to them. Some areas are soft carpets of lichens and mosses that hide potted indoor plants from view, and their grayish-green background perfectly highlights the bright colors of fresh flowers.

But it should still be borne in mind that this is a necessary measure, and whenever possible it is necessary to strive to use living plants, even if you have to incur a slight increase in cost during construction and operation. Living nature and its beneficial effects on humans can never be replaced by anything.

In the USA and some other countries, small theme parks of amusement and games are common, located in the city center among buildings, under a roof. They create landscapes with green spaces and their own microclimate.

Treasure Island Park in Miami (Florida) is an entertainment complex that is adjacent to the shopping center and has 20 attractions close to the content of Stevenson’s book. The structure covers 2230 m2 and can accommodate approximately 1500 people.

Indoor and complex, the park is a room with a modern air conditioning system, with an interesting landscape and numerous waterfalls that create the illusion of being in the open air, more precisely in the tropics. Visitors are invited to board the Hispaniola, the pirate schooner familiar from Stevenson's book, where they are greeted by a motley crowd of literary heroes.

This park is not the only one in the United States. No less interesting is the complex complex of institutions for various purposes being created in Oklahoma with a rather impressive multi-level garden, which has become the core of the city cultural center.

Sesame Street Play Park is like a game library, offering the latest programs and video games for children to develop their reading and writing skills. This is a completely new type of park that suits the interests of both three-year-old children and adults.

The complex complex is an indoor amusement park in the Tokyo suburb of Akishima. An all-season play garden “Summerland” - “Summer Country” - was built on an area of 1.4 hectares. It is visited by up to 13 thousand people a day. The structure has a transparent coating, under which at any time of the year there is an artificial subtropical climate and the bright greenery of the natural summer landscape. In the center there is a large reservoir with an artificial “sea wave”, around it there are beaches with awnings and palm groves. All together creates the illusion of a bright sunny day on the seashore. Even gusts of wind and the smells of the sea are simulated. Walking paths are laid along the perimeter of the garden along terraces in thickets of tropical plants, mountain streams run through piles of stones, and exotic birds sing. In numerous club rooms and halls there are game rooms, quiet rooms, etc.

In our country, the construction of such roofed parks is primarily of social and recreational importance; they are promising and expedient in large industrial cities of the Far North (Norilsk, Murmansk, etc.) - Large residential and public complexes created in harsh natural conditions must provide all the necessary conditions for work, home and leisure. It is winter gardens that are considered in many projects for the North as architectural and planning centers of the cities of the future.

It was founded back in 1998, but remains popular to this day. Within its walls you can not only relax, but also visit a health and beauty center. In addition, hotel guests can always visit one of the three available restaurants in the Golden Ring.

A huge chandelier, decorated with a large number of crystals, immediately catches your eye and illuminates the entire room.
