New Year's holidays are just around the corner, so you need to think over the menu in advance. As an original and solemn dish, we offer you to prepare an unusual and very tasty salad called "Rotten stump". Believe me, all guests will be simply amazed at your culinary skills and will definitely ask you for a recipe for this dish.

Recipe for rotten stump salad with potatoes

Ingredients:

For pancakes:

  • flour - 1 tbsp.;
  • milk - 250 ml;
  • egg - 2 pcs.;
  • ground paprika - 2 tsp;
  • onion - 1 pc.;
  • greens - optional.

For filling:

  • potatoes - 2 pcs.;
  • carrots - 2 pcs.;
  • egg - 3 pcs.;
  • pickled mushrooms;
  • ham - 200 g;
  • dill, parsley.

For decoration:

  • processed cheese - 1 pc .;
  • egg - 2 pcs.;
  • pickled mushrooms;
  • dill, parsley - optional.

Preparation

Now we will tell you how to make Rotten Stump salad. Mix the pancake dough from milk, eggs and flour. Add ground paprika, finely chopped herbs and chopped onions to it. Pour some butter into the pan, heat it up and bake 6 pancakes. We put them in a pile on the table and leave to cool.

In the meantime, we are preparing the filling for now. We wash vegetables and eggs, fill with water and boil until tender. Then we clean everything from the peel, shell and refrigerate. Grate boiled potatoes on a coarse grater, add chopped dill and mayonnaise. Three carrots and also mix with mayonnaise. Finely chop the eggs and combine separately with mayonnaise. Chop the mushrooms into strips and combine with herbs. Cut the ham into cubes, add mayonnaise.

Then we begin to form and fill our "stump". Spread cling film or foil along the table. Cut the pancakes in half and overlap each other. We coat each pancake with soft cheese and spread the filling in rows along the “pancake path” in random order.

After all the filling is distributed, we roll the pancakes into a roll, carefully pulling and bending the film or foil. Set the resulting "stump" on a plate, cut off the protruding ends of the pancakes, but do not throw them away, they will be useful to us for decoration. We form "roots" from the rest of the filling and decorate them with the rest of the pancakes. To avoid seeing the seams, coat the entire surface of the "hemp" with soft cheese. We decorate the "stump" with herbs and mushrooms. If you wish, you can also decorate the dish with "fly agaric" made from cherry tomatoes.

Rotten Stump Cheese Salad Recipe

Ingredients:

For pancakes:

  • chicken egg - 2 pcs.;
  • vegetable oil - 2 tbsp. spoons;
  • milk - 200 ml;
  • flour - 130 g;
  • salt - a pinch.

For filling:

  • cheese - 50 g;
  • mayonnaise - 2 tbsp. spoons;
  • processed cheese - 1 pc .;
  • dill greens - 1 bunch;
  • ham - 100 g;
  • egg - 3 pcs.;
  • pickled mushrooms - for decoration.

Preparation

So, to make Rotten Stump salad, first let's make some pancakes. To do this, beat the eggs in a bowl, pour in to with milk, add butter, salt to taste and slowly add flour. Knead the thin dough on the pancakes and let it stand for about 20 minutes. After that, bake 8 pancakes in a preheated pan. Then we cool them down and cut them into equal halves.

Boil the eggs, peel and grate. Cut the ham into cubes, and mix the processed cheese with chopped dill. Cover the table with foil and lay out the pancakes, overlaying them a little, on top of each other. Next, grease the pancakes well with soft melted cheese. Sprinkle with plenty of grated cheese and lay a layer of ham and grated eggs on top. Now we carefully fold the pancakes into a tight roll and put on a plate. Cut out roots or driftwood from the remains of the pancakes. Decorate the salad and let it soak for a few hours.

The process is time consuming, but the result is worth it!
Who is not afraid of difficulties? Cooking food!
For pancakes:
flour - 1 glass
milk - 250 ml (it took me a little more)
eggs - 2 pieces
ground paprika - 2 tsp
medium onion - 1 piece
greens (I have dill)
salt (I put in a quarter teaspoon)


For the salad:
boiled potatoes - 3-4 medium-sized tubers
boiled carrots (I fried raw) - 2-3 pieces
boiled eggs - 5 pieces
pickled honey mushrooms - I have a jar of 300 ml
fresh champignons - 150 g (you can do without them, but I added and did not regret it at all!)
ham - 200-300 g
mayonnaise
greens - dill, parsley
For registration:
soft processed cheese - about 400 g (I have 2 jars of 180 g each)
pickled mushrooms
greens - dill, parsley, green onions

Let's start kneading the pancake dough. Mix eggs, salt, paprika and chopped onion.


Add chopped dill, flour and milk. I must say that I also added baking soda on the tip of a teaspoon. Mix well.



The dough seemed thick to me and I added a little more milk and a little vegetable oil. She baked pancakes in a dry frying pan. Turned over perfectly! (I was a little worried - I never baked pancakes with onions :-) But in vain! The dough turned out to be very obedient) I got 9 pancakes.


And we continue the process :-) Eggs on a grater + mayonnaise, mix



Potatoes are also consumed + mayonnaise, mix. Diced ham + mayonnaise, mix. Cut the champignons, fry



and mix with chopped mushrooms and herbs

Now the fun part :-) Let's start forming our "hemp"!
We will put cling film on the table or cut a couple of bags (I did just that).
We begin to overlap the pancakes, having previously greased them with melted cheese. I got a lane of six pancakes. trim the bottom edge of the pancakes.


Now let's lay out the filling. Don't try to lay it all out! Mix the remains, useful for the formation of "roots"

You can roll the salad into a roll. We help with film. We crush a little, but not zealous! I can say that the roll rolls up quite easily. Make sure that the lower, cut, edge curls evenly.

Pickled mushrooms 100-150 gr.;

Pancakes for salad stump:

Eggs - 2 pcs.;
Flour -1 glass (but in general, look that the dough is like liquid sour cream);
Milk - 250 ml.;
Vegetable oil-2 tbsp. spoons;
Vegetable oil-2 tablespoons;
Paprika (for beautiful brown pancakes) -1-2 teaspoons;
Salt to taste.

How to make a stump salad:

Pancakes:
To prepare beautiful brown pancakes, we need to mix all the ingredients and bake the pancakes, which will be the hemp trunk.
From this amount of products, you should get about 5-6 pancakes.
Sauce:
Mix mayonnaise or sour cream with dill and parsley. Salt if necessary.
Salad:
After chopping, we put all the ingredients on different plates and mix with the sauce, this is necessary in order to then lay out the salad in layers.
Potatoes, cooked in "uniform", three on a coarse grater.
We do the same with boiled carrots - peel.
Chop pickled mushrooms.
Grind the ham into cubes or also three on a coarse grater.
Eggs or finely cut or three on a grater.
Hemp decoration:
We spread a plastic cling film on the table. We cut the pancakes in half, according to the diameter.
Lubricate one side of the pancakes with processed cheese. Then smeared with cheese

Ingredients

-300g boiled chicken fillet
-10 walnuts
-mayonnaise to taste

Preparation:
Peel and coarsely grate carrots, eggs and potatoes. Salt vegetables and eggs to taste.
Cut the chicken fillet into cubes and salt.

Preparation:

First, we bake pancakes:
Knead the pancake dough from eggs, milk and flour. Add paprika, finely chopped greens to it (to taste, it was not added here) and onions. We bake. We oil every pancake. From the resulting dough, about 6 pancakes are obtained.

- After all the filling is laid out, we begin to twist everything with a roll (each filling must be pressed more tightly to the pancake) The easiest way to spin the roll is according to the principle of a rug in sushi - carefully pulling and bending the bag;
- Put the resulting "stump" on a plate. Cut off the protruding ends of the pancakes - they will be useful to us for the roots.
Now let's get down to the design:
From the rest of the filling we form "roots". We decorate them with the remains of pancakes. So that no joints and "seams" are visible, coat the "hemp" surface with soft cheese. Not much!!! It acts as a binder. A kind of putty. We decorate the "stump" with mushrooms and herbs. If you wish, you can also make a fly agaric with a tomato))
