3. Once the required amount of time has passed, fill the pumpkin with milk.

4. Next, pour salt and sugar into the pan and stir.

5. While the pumpkin is boiling, measure out the required amount of corn grits. It is not necessary to soak in water in advance; you can pour boiling water over it, but if you wish.

6. Sprinkle the corn in an even layer over the prepared milk-pumpkin mixture. It is strongly recommended not to stir.
