Chicken hearts with sour cream in a slow cooker

You can achieve tenderness and juiciness from ready-made chicken offal by using modern electronic kitchen aids, such as a multicooker, during the cooking process. The cooking technology itself assumes that the meat will soften and become more tender during the cooking process.

To cook soft and tender chicken hearts in a slow cooker you will need:

  • 500 g chicken hearts (frozen or chilled);
  • 200 g onions;
  • 120 g sour cream;
  • 50-60 ml vegetable oil;
  • 3 g table salt.

The housewife’s actions and the kitchen gadget’s operating program will take from 50 to 60 minutes.

Every hundred grams of this dish carries an energy charge of 187.4 kilocalories.

Work progress:

  1. Prepare the hearts. To do this, frozen ones will need to be defrosted at room temperature first. Then rinse both thawed and only cooled ones under running water, cut off excess fat and tubes from them. Cut each heart lengthwise into two parts and remove blood clots. Rinse the offal again under cold water;
  2. While the water is draining from the washed chicken hearts, thrown into a colander, remove the skins, wash and chop the onions into cubes;
  3. Pour vegetable oil into a multi-pan and, using the “Frying” (or “Baking”) option, fry the onion cubes until transparent. This will take five to ten minutes;
  4. After this, you need to turn off the frying program, put the hearts in the multi-pan, add salt, you can also add spices to taste and pour sour cream over everything;
  5. Mix everything thoroughly with a plastic spatula, cover with a lid and turn on the “Stew” option for 30 minutes. As soon as the multicooker signals that it has already finished its work, you can place the hearts on plates and serve.

The solution is baked chicken hearts in sour cream with potatoes in the oven.   • 500 g chicken hearts;
  • 500 g potato tubers;
  • 200 g onions;
  • 200 g sour cream;
  • 220 ml of warm drinking water;
  • 150 g hard cheese;
  • 90 g wheat flour;
  • 40 ml sunflower oil;
  • salt, pepper and other spices to taste.

Cooking time: 90 minutes.

Although the dish turns out to be quite nutritious, this does not critically affect its calorie content, which is 147.6 kcal/100 g.

Sequence of cooking steps:

Like any product, including offal, cooking chicken hearts in sour cream has its own nuances, which are contained in the recommendations of experienced chefs:

  1. To prevent an unpleasant bitterness from appearing in the finished dish, it is imperative to remove the film that envelops them from the hearts. This simple action will help them get rid of excess fat;
  2. Frozen products should not be exposed to sudden temperature changes. It's best to start defrosting on a shelf in the refrigerator and then continue at room temperature;
  3. Before cooking, the hearts must be soaked in cold water. A quarter of an hour spent on this procedure will help get rid of blood clots and make the meat more soft;
  4. Particular attention should be paid to the quality of the other main ingredient - sour cream. The better it is, the less likely it is that under the influence of temperatures it will not turn into unappetizing white flakes.
