Maggi hedgehogs with rice and carrots recipe. Recipe: Hedgehogs - With "Maggi for the second"

In our family, everyone loves hedgehogs. I prepared them according to different recipes, but still the most favorite ones are simply hedgehogs with sour cream filling. I was a bit bored with it, so when I saw Maggi for Hedgehogs, I took a bag home. I think it will taste at least a little different. However, there was a fear that the children would not eat.

Maggi for the second course for hedgehogs.

The bag is divided into two parts. One part is for the sauce, the other is for the minced meat.

Here's what we needed to prepare.

MAGGI® For the main course for meat hedgehogs with rice and carrots - 1 pc., minced meat - 500g, uncooked rice - 70g, carrots - 2 pcs., onions - 1 pc., sour cream - 3 tbsp.

I took more rice - 110 grams, 1 multi-glass. I'm not good with a frying pan, so my hedgehogs will be cooked in a slow cooker.

At the back of the bag there is a recipe according to which these hedgehogs should be prepared.

1. Soak rice (70 g) in half a glass of hot water (~ 100 ml) and leave for 10 minutes. Grate the carrots on a coarse grater, finely chop the onion.

Mix minced meat (500 g), vegetables and rice, without draining the water from the rice, with the contents of the bag from the minced meat compartment.

2. Form 10 round hedgehogs and place them in a deep heated frying pan, pre-greased with vegetable oil.

3. Mix sour cream with 400 ml of cold water, add the contents of the bag from the SAUCE compartment, mix thoroughly. Pour the sauce into the pan.

4. Simmer the hedgehogs covered over low heat for 40 minutes. Depending on the type of rice, the cooking time may increase to 50 minutes.

The composition of Maggi seasoning is all natural.

Iodized salt (salt, potassium iodate), dried vegetables (18.7%) (tomato (powder), garlic, carrots (0.9%), onion), sugar, wheat flour (contains gluten), corn starch, sugar, spices and herbs (6.7) (cumin, black pepper, basil, bay leaf, dill, parsley, nutmeg, turmeric, curry), sunflower oil (2.3%), acidity regulator (citric acid). The product may contain small amounts of milk and celery.

So, we follow the instructions on the package... According to it, three two carrots, cut the onion, pour boiling water over the rice.

I was in such a hurry that I didn’t take a photo of the seasoning from the first compartment. But it is similar to suneli hops or Provençal herbs... A very aromatic mixture of herbs, a pleasant smell. I really liked the scent. I sniffed the empty bag for a long time.

I was also in such a hurry that I drained the water from the rice. I carefully re-read the recipe on the package and added new water to the minced meat, as Maggi wrote.

I formed hedgehogs and put them in a slow cooker. Well, I started making sauce.

There is much more seasoning for sauce than for minced meat, since it also contains starch. My entire jar of sour cream was gone. The seasoning for the sauce is also very aromatic.

I poured the sauce over all the hedgehogs and put them in a slow cooker for 1 hour to simmer. After about 30 minutes, the aroma of hedgehogs began to attract children.

On cue, our dinner with Maggi arrived...

There is actually a lot of sauce and it is very tasty and thick. At first I just didn’t post it all.

The hedgehogs came out very tasty, very aromatic, very tender. Melted in your mouth. Who makes up Maggi's recipes for the second course??? some kind of super chef! I myself would never have thought of adding water to the minced meat! As much as 100ml! And it seems to me that this is why they are so tender. And the sauce is thick and of good consistency thanks to the starch that the manufacturer added to the herb mixture. And how the herbs were selected...mmm...the aroma is indescribable!!! BUT my husband and I and my youngest daughter appreciated the hedgehogs, the eldest tried it and preferred the fish empty in flour and salt... She’s not a fan of herbs at all ((.

In general, I was very pleased with the result. The three of them ate all the hedgehogs. My husband almost ate the bowl of the multicooker while he was collecting all the sauce from it with a special spoon. I will definitely buy more!

Minced meat dishes, just like baked goods, are my weak point. I can bake meat, I can make lasagna, I can whip up a thick and tasty carbonara, but meatballs and hedgehog cutlets are not my thing. I tried everything I could to get rid of it, but something was missing, I wanted something tasty, but it turned out “okay.” Having completely freaked out, I finally decided to buy Maggi “For the second course” for meat hedgehogs, so that at least once in my life I could cook something really tasty with minced meat.

I bought it at the local meat shop. I haven’t been able to find these miracle packages in chain stores for a long time now. for minced meat and meatballs with hedgehogs No matter where I look, there is chicken, breast, legs, wings, but no minced meat. No, at least crack it. Therefore, the cost of my purchase was slightly higher than the store price - about a hundred.

P.S. I found this particular bag recently in the Perekrestok store, the cost was about 60-80 rubles.

Description:

Standard package like all Maggi, consisting of two compartments. The top one is seasoning for minced meat, the bottom one is seasoning for gravy.

In addition to everything else, you will also need onions, carrots, rice and sour cream. Well, of course the minced meat itself.

In use:

Doing it strictly according to the recipe is not my thing. Of course, I want to not deviate from what the manufacturer writes, but I simply don’t know how. Cooking and makeup are those areas where you want to deviate from the canons, so I decided to try to experiment, but within the limits of what is permissible.

I had it in my arms kilogram of homemade minced meat.

I took the minced meat out of the bag, salted it, peppered it, added a little dry garlic and dry cilantro. There was some leftover in the refrigerator from the recent borscht (carrots + onions) and I decided, without further ado, to add this instead of fresh carrots and fresh onions to future hedgehogs. So, it seemed to me that it would be juicier and more interesting. The total amount of frying was about four tablespoons.

Next, I took half a glass of rice and poured boiling water over it. I stirred it, drained it, poured it in again and left it for about 20 minutes. I took Basmati rice - according to my logic, it should have cooked faster and sounded more interesting than regular rice.

As the manufacturer instructs, mix the minced meat with rice without draining the water. Well, I didn’t drain it, except that it was not the first water, but the second))

Added seasoning from the packet at the top and stirred thoroughly until smooth.

I cooked the hedgehogs in a deep frying pan. From a kilogram of minced meat I got a full frying pan of round pieces, about 3 centimeters in diameter. I was afraid to do more due to the fact that neither the rice nor the minced meat itself would be completely cooked (my sore point).

I put it on low heat and started preparing the sauce.

The sauce was mixed from six to seven tablespoons of sour cream with the addition of a dry mixture from the bottom of the Maggi bag. While the hedgehogs were half-stewed and half-fried, the mixture was infused. After mixing, I added a tablespoon of hot water to it to further develop the seasoning (yes, again deviating from the rules).

The hedgehogs simmered little by little in the frying pan for about half an hour. I didn't add gas. Before adding the sauce, I drained Part rendered juice and fat from hedgehogs, so that it does not turn out to be an unpalatable slurry instead of gravy.

Added the sauce, stirred lightly and left to soak for 10 minutes.

As a result:

It turned out very nice and this was confirmed not only by me, but also by my family. Juicy, aromatic hedgehogs that simply melted in your mouth. Served with boiled pasta. The only thing I paid for in my experiment was that there was very little gravy. It was enough for a couple of servings, while the hedgehogs remained for the second day, that is, in the end, for two dinners for two adults and two children.

I cannot identify any specific seasoning in the overall taste of the finished dish. This is a successful bouquet of balanced spices, where no one dominates, but overall it sounds colorful.

The gravy has a more pronounced taste, but again, it is extremely difficult to single out something in this array. This is the first time I’ve come across something like this, most often you can pick out a couple of flavor accent notes.

I am more than pleased with this mixture, even if we omit the fact that I again modernized a good part of the recipe from the manufacturer to suit myself. Two picky men appreciated the taste of minced meat and aromatic seasonings and happily grabbed the hedgehogs on both cheeks, saying that this time I managed to make something very cool from minced meat. Yes, I felt it myself and breathed a sigh of relief. It was difficult to restrain myself from adding more, but I still managed to do it))

Good afternoon, dear hostesses!
Yesterday I spoiled my family with the much-loved meat hedgehogs. They are stewed in a frying pan for about forty minutes, so the pleasure is quite quick to prepare and very quick to eat.
I prepare these hedgehogs using Maggi seasoning for the main course, which can be purchased at any grocery store. The spice bag is divided into two sections: one contains a mixture of herbs for adding to the minced meat, the other contains the sauce with which we will pour our meatballs.
So, put half a kilo of minced pork and beef in a bowl,

add chopped medium onion and grated carrots to it. Rice in the amount of 70 grams (which is 6 tablespoons), pour 100 ml of boiling water (0.5 cups) and let it brew for 10 minutes.

Next, mix the minced meat, vegetables and slightly swollen rice (do not drain the water from it!) and add a mixture of herbs from the “FOR minced meat” compartment.

Once again, mix everything well and begin to roll hedgehog balls. I usually get 10-12 small meatballs.

Place in a deep, hot frying pan and leave on low heat for a couple of minutes while you prepare the sauce.

Pour 400 ml of cold water into a bowl, add 3 tbsp. spoons of sour cream and a mixture of herbs from the “FOR sauce” compartment, mix well and pour over our hedgehogs.

Cover the pan with a lid, turn the heat to medium and simmer for about 40-50 minutes.

Next, we take out our meat balls, pour sauce over them (there will still be plenty of it in the pan) and sprinkle with herbs.
Because of the rice and side dish content in the dish, you don’t have to rack your brains, but our youngest asks that he always prepare potatoes for the hedgehogs.

Bon appetit!

Cooking time: PT00H50M 50 min.

Approximate cost per serving: 150 rub.

Do you cook meat hedgehogs from Maggi? I do it very regularly and today we will cook them together

In fact, I always have such mixtures of rights in my kitchen. I fry barbecue wings or legs with garlic, and also make goulash or buckwheat merchant-style with these ready-made kits. and is still alive and well. Personally, for me, this not only saves time, but also helps not very knowledgeable housewives.

Mix for cooking meat hedgehogs with rice and carrots from Maggi. I don’t remember the exact price, but in general it sells for 45 rubles at discounts.

It is a bag with two compartments containing mixtures for minced meat and sauce. The package also contains all the necessary information - calorie content, composition, step-by-step cooking instructions and descriptions of the necessary products. Since this is not the first time I have made these hedgehogs, for myself I am already deviating from the manufacturer’s instructions. For example, I can’t say what exact amount of minced meat I take; I think it’s more than indicated. And I prefer to use one medium carrot and one small onion.

Advice Chop the onion as finely as possible, otherwise later these “construction logs” will get in your way and even fall out of the minced meat during the kneading process.

So, we have prepared grated carrots, finely chopped onions and minced meat. I take about three level tablespoons of rice and pour hot water - as indicated in the instructions - for ten minutes or less.

By the way, I once heard from a former colleague something contemptuous like, “Ugh, hedgehogs, just rice, no meat.” Well....I can say that it depends on how you cook. Do you seriously think that for half a kilo of minced meat, three spoons of rice is that much?? I don’t know what recipe they fed her with these hedgehogs, but in my case my husband tastes it and he doesn’t complain about anything.

Take 400 ml of water, add 3 tablespoons (already heaped) of sour cream and pour out the contents from the “sauce” bag. All this needs stirring.

Pour the spices “for minced meat”, carrots, onions and rice along with water into a bowl with minced meat. I personally add a little more spices for the minced meat, I just have a little more minced meat than 500 g, so... Then everything is thoroughly mixed

We can say that all the main work is ready. Then you need to mold the hedgehogs and place them on the fire in a deep frying pan. The instructions say about 10 hedgehogs, but I do everything by eye and it turns out differently. Now, as we see, there are twelve. Then pour everything over the mash and sauce and you're done. Now you should simmer all this for about 30 minutes, and you just stir occasionally. I stir it about 10 times for sure.

The dish is ready!

I prefer to serve with potatoes, but sometimes it was the case with buckwheat... and peas... here it’s the tenth thing. Hedgehogs decrease in size during cooking and there is a lot of watering, so you don’t have to skimp on serving.

I have no complaints about this product and give it a well-deserved five stars.

Oh yes, "harmful composition"

That's all I have, bon appetit everyone.
