I don’t buy M&M’s dragees often, mostly during promotions. I myself prefer with peanuts, and my son loves the classic one too. small pack (36 grams). M&M's Crispy went on sale relatively recently, in any case, I already saw them in stores two or three months ago.

Since I do not like puffed rice, I was in no hurry with the purchase. Now this taste can be found in almost any large retail chain (Magnit, Pyaterochka, Metro, etc.). Not too long ago in GM Metro, large packages with different flavors of 220 grams were at a good discount - only 99.99 rubles.

The son was interested in a new action with the search for the Chocolate Boss. Conditions are in the picture below. Of course, I did not count on the prize, but the children are "led" to it.

220 grams of dragee is actually not so much (a small vase or bowl). The manufacturer claims that this pack contains 6 servings, i.e. at a time you can eat somewhere 36.6 gr.

You can divide a large package into several "servings" using glass jars if you want to treat someone (of course, the jars are thoroughly washed and processed). In a large package, a ZIP fastener is provided, since even an adult cannot eat such a volume at a time. A child alone can last for a week if consumption is controlled (they are eaten imperceptibly, because they are small).

In total there are 6 multi-colored dragees. In the New Year's series there was also white color, i.e. in the M&M's family, only 7 dyes are used so far. I think that other shades will appear over time. The letter "M" is applied with the same dye and on each of the dragees. The size of the dragee comes across different: somewhere more, somewhere less , somewhere smoother, somewhere not so neat in shape, although in general, they all look the same if you don’t look closely.They are something in between the “classic” chocolate flavor (the “button” shape) and with peanuts (large round dragees), i.e. such small "kruglyash" (smaller than walnut).

Dragees are suitable for decorating pastries and desserts, but the paint can peel off / melt from them during prolonged contact with cream or something wet (gel, jelly), so it’s more like pampering. In the hands, it can also begin to melt and stain the hands with dyes. By the way, not all food colors here are natural, there are also synthetic ones.

When you open the pack, you immediately hear the familiar nutty-chocolate aroma of M&M's dragees. Why is it nutty if there are no nuts in this taste? We decided to add a hazelnut flavor here for more taste and aroma.

In the new taste, I was more interested in: what is inside the dragee? Let's see:

Those. it turns out that the top layer is a crispy multi-colored glaze based on carnauba wax. When it enters the mouth, the icing begins to melt, followed by a layer of milk chocolate that also melts, much faster than the icing, and a "ball" of puffed rice remains. It is not sweet, even a little salt is felt. The taste is predominantly rice, although there is also the presence of wheat. "Ball" (filling, core) is not very hard, but crispy. It does not give a load on the teeth, with a slight pressure of the teeth it cracks and dissolves in the mouth. You can just put the dragee in your mouth and it will quickly melt by itself, or you can put it in your mouth and crunch without waiting for the candy to dissolve in your mouth. And in fact, and in another case, the teeth do not hurt from such a dragee, because. it is neither hard nor rough. Rice filling can get a little stuck in the teeth if there are natural indentations, so after such a snack, I would advise at least rinsing your mouth. In general, the dragees turned out to be sweet and tasty, but not cloying. I would call them "obsessive", as well as other dragees, since you can quietly eat one after another more than planned. On the other hand, with small packs more than 36 grams, do not eat, i.e. dose is limited.

By the way, of all those analogues of Dragee M & M "s that I tried from Russian manufacturers, no one could "surpass" M & M "s (someone had a filling that was not very good, someone had a glaze too hard and tasteless). In my opinion, M&M's Dragees are the best of their kind, and therefore they are eaten completely, and do not lie for a long time. This dragee is produced here, in Russia, but Mars is an American company, so you should not be surprised at the overestimated cost (if it were imported goods, then the price would be even higher, I think) During the promotions, I think that the price is close to adequate / without promotions, I practically don’t take it.

The composition, of course, does not please with some ingredients, in particular: vegetable fats are found everywhere (filling, chocolate, icing). Dyes and flavorings, in principle, are acceptable, and without them, I can’t imagine a multi-colored dragee.

There were no problems with the gastrointestinal tract in our family from these dragees. Perhaps something can happen with an "overdose" (you need to know the measure), besides, butyrate (butyric acid) is found in the composition.

In general, I liked the novelty, despite the fact that I am indifferent to puffed rice, and in some cases (combinations) I don’t like it at all. My son also liked this taste, so it is possible that we will occasionally repeat the purchase. I will recommend it for testing as a "new product" (for general familiarization and comparison with other tastes). I still like it better with peanuts, but at the moment I try to limit nuts in general, so the “crispy” and simple “classic” options are safer for the teeth (less chewing load).
