A week ago, I had dinner at one of the restaurants on the Eiffel Tower, and therefore I want to tell you how it differs from a regular restaurant and how to get there.

First, some information: the tower has two restaurants, a bar and the opportunity to drink a glass of champagne on the top floor. We were not very interested in the bar and champagne, but we were not averse to eating ... The first restaurant is called "Jules Verne", it is located at an altitude of 125 meters and is considered one of the best restaurants in Paris. But we didn't get there... :) Places in both the first and second restaurants must be booked in advance, much in advance. And our trip was very spontaneous, like "today we decided, and tomorrow we flew away." And, of course, all the seats in Jules Verne were already taken... The second restaurant is not so cool, but not bad either. It is called "48 Tour Eiffel" and is only at a height of fifty meters, but there we managed to book almost the last three places for nine in the evening! Hooray! By the way, book places in the first restaurant, and in the second - there, please note that money is withdrawn from the card immediately and completely (the price for three "plates" is fixed) and no-show is not a reason for their return.

When booking, you can choose several types of menus, each with a choice of three different dishes. And you already choose one of these three dishes on the spot. We, for example, had "Opera Menu".

We were immediately offered a choice of a glass of champagne or a cocktail, we chose a cocktail:

The cocktail is average, consists of champagne and something pink. I'd rather just order champagne. Foie gras, smoked salmon with apples, and shrimp salad were offered for appetizers. Here we also all chose the last option:

Tasty. Incredibly tasty, and this despite the fact that the whole salad consisted of two pieces of cucumber, a slice of avocado, one shrimp and some kind of puree. The main dish was a piece of beef or John Dory, there was also something else, but I don’t remember:

The meat is tasty, but there is very little of it. :)

There was not enough Dori, but it was cooked wonderfully. Both meat and fish are served with mashed potatoes:

Om-Nom-nom! For dessert there was a chocolate cake, profiteroles and rum-baba. I can’t say anything about the cupcake, but the rest of the positions were delicious:

In their understanding, profiteroles are a sandwich poured with hot chocolate, into which three balls of ice cream were stuffed instead of ham. :)

We chose LaRoche Chablis as our wine and it turned out to be a great choice:

Separately, I note that the waiter was not colored, he spoke excellent English, constantly joked and generally served very, very quickly! In general, I liked the restaurant, I think we will visit it again! =)

P.S. The restaurant reservation does not include the entrance ticket to the tower. In order to avoid standing in line for the rise, you can book tickets in advance. Keep in mind that you also need to book at least a week in advance if you want to get to the very top.

In this article you will not find the history of the creation of the Eiffel Tower, which has become one of the main symbols of Paris - it is better to read about it on Wikipedia, but here - all the practical information about visiting. Where is the Eiffel Tower located, how to get there, how to buy tickets and when is the best time to plan your visit to the 130-year-old "Parisian beauty" in order to minimize waiting time and not languish in huge queues of tourists.

Address, options for getting to the Eiffel Tower

The Eiffel Tower is located in the 7th arrondissement of Paris, next to the Quai Branly on the banks of the Seine. Exact address: Champ de Mars, 5 Avenue Anatole France, 75007 Paris.

Around it, at a distance of 5-15 minutes walk, there are several metro stations, so you can choose from several:

- Trocadero metro station(lines 6 and 9 of the Paris metro). You exit at Place du Trocadero, where the Palais de Chaillot is located. Passing through the Trocadero Gardens (Jardins du Trocadéro) - a park area with fountains, and then across the bridge (Pont d "Iéna) across the Seine, you will find yourself at the Eiffel Tower.

- station RER Champ de Mars-Tour Eiffel line C is a station of the Paris commuter rail system and Bir Hakeim metro station(line 6) - exit to Quai Branly, from where it is very close to the Eiffel Tower.

- Ecole Militaire metro station(line 8). This path is a little longer than the others, but I like it the most because in this case you go to the tower through the famous Champ de Mars park in Paris, located between the Military School and the Eiffel Tower.

Eiffel Tower opening hours:

In the high season (from mid-June to early September) - from 9.00 to 0.45. (Access to the lift - up to 0.00, stairs - up to 0.45 (however, the last ticket payment in this case is at 0.00).

The rest of the year - from 9.30 to 23.00 (at the same time, the opportunity to go up and down by elevator - until 23.45), walking up the stairs - until 18.30 (last ticket payment for the stairs at 18.00).

There are three levels (floors) in the Eiffel Tower:

- the first floor at a height of 57 meters;

second floor - at a height of 115 meters;

third floor, the so-called top (276 meters).

Tickets for the Eiffel Tower

You can buy tickets for the Eiffel Tower at the box office at the entrance or in advance via the Internet on its website http://www.toureiffel.paris/ (the site is in different languages, but Russian is still not among them, which is strange, still not), or on a partner website at the link below. In the first case, if you have not bothered to buy tickets in advance, you will have to stand in a long queue.

There is almost always a queue for the Eiffel Tower, at any time of the year. Sometimes there are “happy minutes” when the queue almost disappears, but this is a matter of chance and far from the fact that you are lucky. Basically, you have to stand and wait for at least 30-40 minutes (in winter or at the end of November, in the "low" season) to two or more hours (in the "high" tourist season) to get inside, and then again stand in line inside to the elevators that take tourists to the floors of the tower. Therefore, if you do not have time in Paris (for example, you only have half a day), then you should admire the Eiffel Tower from afar, and postpone your visit until a more convenient case, when you have enough time left.

Pros of buying a ticket to the Eiffel Tower in advance via the Internet: no need to stand in a general queue, because there is a special entrance for those who bought a ticket online (there is also a small queue of the same prudent tourists, but it is incomparable with the general one). Significant time savings.

Minuses: the ticket is sold for a certain time (session), which cannot be changed (just as you cannot change or return tickets purchased online), that is, you will be strictly tied to the date and time. In addition, if the weather is bad - heavy rain or fog, you will not see the famous panorama of Paris, and there is not much point in climbing the Eiffel Tower. Pre-purchased tickets leave you no choice.

Here we offer a choice of interesting combined programswith a visit to the Eiffel Tower, they are ideal if you want to see as much as possible in Paris in a short time and try different modes of transport, including water (buying a ticket through a convenient interface in Russian, tickets after payment are sent to your email, all that remains is to print them) :

Ticket price for the Eiffel Tower (2019):

Elevator ride to the 2nd floor (height 115 meters) - 16 euros for adults, for children and youth from 12 to 24 years old (you must have documents confirming age) - 8 euros, children from 4 to 11 years old, disabled people - 4 euros.

Elevator ride to the very top (top of the tower at a height of 267 meters): 25 euros for adults, 12-24 years old - 12.5 euros, children 4-11 years old, disabled people - 6.30 euros.

All children under 4 years old visit the Eiffel Tower for free.

If you are athletic and confident in your abilities, you can "feel" the creation of engineer Eiffel with your feet, taking the stairs instead of the elevator. At the same time, save money - the entrance to the stairs with a rise to level 2 (115 meters!) Costs only 10 euros for adults, and 5 euros for children and youth (12-24 years old). Measure your strengths. If you want to go higher than the second floor, then in any case, you need to buy a ticket to the 3rd floor for the elevator at the ticket office at the foot of the tower (there are no ticket offices at the top and if you catch yourself, it will be too late).

Another question that arises for those who are going to the Eiffel Tower for the first time: when is it better to climb it - during the day or in the evening?

Of course, this is a matter of taste, but I prefer to look at Paris from the height of the tower during the day, when the streets and buildings of the city are clearly visible, this is more interesting. In the evening, the view is also very beautiful, but Paris in the lights and highlights is not too different from other cities at night from a bird's eye view. It is better to combine a visit in the evening with a romantic dinner in a restaurant.

Eiffel Tower Restaurants

There is another way - a pleasant one - to avoid standing in line at the Eiffel Tower - to book a table in one of the restaurants.

The tower has two restaurants:

58 Tour Eiffel- located on the 1st floor of the tower, this is a restaurant of an average price category (lunch from 41 euros per person, dinner - from 85 euros);

Le Jules Verne- located on the 2nd floor, this is a gourmet restaurant run by the famous owner of several Michelin stars, one of the most titled chefs in the world, Alain Ducasse, therefore "cool" and quite expensive (suitable for any important events in your life, such as a proposal to a loved one, an anniversary, a romantic evening, etc.). Dress code: formally smart casual, men are not required to be in a suit and tie, but definitely not to come in sportswear, shorts, T-shirts, etc. In fact, of course, I would not come to Ducasse's restaurant without a cocktail dress and heels.

If you want even more thrills, you can drink champagne or wine in Bar a Champagne located on the top - the 3rd floor of the Eiffel Tower.

Booking a table online at 58 Tour Eiffel and Le Jules Verne gives you the opportunity to skip the line to the elevator and go up to the restaurant. To do this, you need to apply with a printout of the reservation to a special restaurant kiosk at the foot of the tower. Detailed information on where to go after buying a ticket is available in Russian at the link below:

Book lunch at 58 Tour Eiffel on the Eiffel Tower

Arriving in Paris, I want to see and try as much as possible so that the baggage of impressions is enough until the next voyage. As a rule, sightseeing and cafe visits alternate, but why not try to combine both pleasures by going to a restaurant on the Eiffel Tower?

This idea is especially to the liking of couples who decide to spend a few unforgettable days in the most amorous capital of Europe. And in order not to overshadow the upcoming dinner by languishing in line, book a table in one of the establishments in advance.

Restaurant 58 Tour Eiffel

The number "58" in the name is explained by the fact that the hall is located at such a height. Previously, four wooden pavilions worked in its place, and then in the 30s, two restaurants were opened instead of them, designed by Eiffel Gustave's son-in-law, Auguste Granet.

They existed until 1980, when a new wave of restoration of the first tier of the tower came. After its completion, the guests were received by the new premises of La Belle France and Le Parisien.

In 1996, they merged and became a beer house under the sign "Height 95", repeating the name of the brewery, towering 95 m above sea level, and the hallmark of the tavern was a model of an airship in the center of the hall.

In 2009, there is again a change of image, and now it houses the restaurant "58 Tour Eiffel", designed by Patrick Jouin. It stood in its original form until 2013, before being given a glass floor, roof and railings, creating a striking open space effect without borders.

The principle of the institution is to create an atmosphere appropriate to the moment. If it is a dinner that is mainly attended by families, there is an uninhibited picnic spirit with appropriate dishes, lighting, musical accompaniment and service. In the evening, the concept changes, and to create a cozy and intimate atmosphere, the light becomes softer, the menu is transformed.

Staying in a glass room, you will involuntarily be enchanted by the opening panorama of the Trocadero, Chaillot Palace and a beautiful sunset, painting the horizon with crimson colors.

If you are planning a dinner for a group of up to 9 people, you will be escorted to a table, and the food will be brought in a large picnic basket. The menu is updated twice a year, adjusted for seasonal products. For example, for the fall and winter of 2017-2018, a choice is planned for input from: veal, cream of leek and chestnut soup, red wine-based sauce, thyme duck pie, smoked salmon, coleslaw with fresh apples.

As a main dish, you can choose fried chicken breast, mashed potatoes with herbs, Madeira sauce with the freshest cream or trout stewed with Brie lentils, vegetables, coriander and smoked soy.

Dessert is a pot of cream, mango marmalade, Guanaja chocolate mousse with praline, fruit salad and some more amazing recipes.

Lunch includes starter + main + dessert. In addition, soft drinks, a glass of beer or wine are included. The menu for children under 12 costs 19 euros.

If you book the event in advance, it will cost 37.20 euros per person + 5.30 for the entrance ticket. It must be purchased at least 30 minutes before a meal at the box office from 11:30 to 15:30, located between the eastern and northern columns of the tower. Or you can book on the official website from 12:00 to 13:30, and to get it in your hands, contact the same cashier.

You don’t have to worry about the kilometer-long queue to the steel beauty, because you will be taken to the restaurant by a separate elevator. Lunch will last 1.30 minutes.

For those who wish to time dinner at the Eiffel Tower for a family celebration (name day, wedding anniversary, etc.), a separate program is provided. As introductory dishes for the current autumn-winter season, a velvety soup with chestnuts, mushrooms and meat, a salad with black sesame seeds, as well as shrimps with sweet spices, avocados and pomelo are offered.

The main dish can be beef with red wine, smoked bacon with mushrooms, sea bream fillet, Haute-Provence risotto, champagne and nuts muffin. For sweets - vanilla ice cream, hot chocolate with vanilla sauce and salted caramel, and wines of your choice.

By the way, if you have gathered for a special occasion, instead of the usual dessert, you can order a birthday cake, and replace the wine with the favorite sparkling drink of the hussars and musketeers. To make the evening even more memorable, photographers are at your service who can capture beautiful angles and moments.

The party lasts from 18:30 to 21:00, so make sure to buy a ticket in advance at the box office or make a reservation on the website to pick up your pass on the spot. As in the case of lunch, you need to arrive at dinner half an hour before it starts.

A regular dinner is available in options - for 93.70 or 113.70 euros, which includes a glass of champagne as an aperitif, a table in a separate room, an entrance course + main + dessert + wine of your choice (red, white, rose) + mineral water + coffee. Children's menu 26 or 119 euros.

After 21:00 VIP service starts. Cost for adults: 93.70 - 180 euros with accommodation in a bay window, tasting of 4 courses and the best wines from personal cellars, for children: 26 - 180 euros.

Another restaurant 58 offers to celebrate New Year's Eve in it to the sound of live music. The cost of this venture will cost at least 375 euros for adults and 200 euros for children. But if you want to get privileged seats with a view of the Trocadero, prepare from 495 euros for both adults and children.

Guests of the institution can observe the sacrament of cooking, as the kitchen was specially created open. The dishes look appetizing, decorated with imagination, and taste excellent.

If we focus on the reviews of visitors, most were satisfied with the food and service. But since everyone has different views and preferences, there will always be someone who brings a little “but” to the overall positive.

When deciding to visit this restaurant, keep in mind that there is no wardrobe here, you cannot enter with massive luggage and animals, and also be understanding if you are asked to open your bag and coat at the entrance - this is done for the purpose of security control.

An even more luxurious place on is the Jules Verne restaurant on the 2nd tier. The interior itself, with antique furniture, sets the mood for a willingness to pay double the price of the 58 Tour Eiffel.

Patrick Jouin was in charge of the decoration, and he wanted as much natural sunlight as possible to penetrate the hall during the day, and in the evening the darkness was dispersed by the muffled intimate light and the lights of the city penetrating through the large windows. Thanks to this, a special atmosphere of intimacy, mystery and romance is created inside.

Here they serve the classics of French cuisine, seasoned with bold modern ideas, so that the taste becomes more generous, richer, more unique.

You can book a table exclusively on the restaurant's website from 19:00 to 21:30 by filling out a special form, indicating the day, time and number of guests in it. There is a separate elevator upstairs, so you don’t have to queue with the rest of those who want to see the tower.

Taste the Multi-Course Experience Menu and discover what Jules Verne's cuisine is all about, accompanied by the finest wines. Three courses - 105 euros, a course of five courses - 190 euros, of six courses - 230 euros.
Christmas will become even more magical if you spend Christmas Eve at Jules Verne, admiring the amazing view of Paris, while tasting a specially thought-out holiday menu (290-390 euros per person).

New Year holidays can also be celebrated in this hospitable restaurant, and on December 31, from a height of 124 meters, you can look at the city bathed in a sea of solemn lights, tasting delicious dishes, drinking the best sparkling wines to the intoxicating sounds of a live orchestra. It will be an exceptional experience and an unforgettable moment that will cost 600-800 euros.

While restaurants are more suitable for a leisurely pastime, buffets and bars are ideal for a quick and inexpensive bite. Several cafes on the Eiffel Tower are easy to find on the first two levels, and the assortment includes: canapés, pizza, salads, homemade sandwiches, cold and hot drinks, various types of salty and neutral snacks, as well as a rich selection of muffins. Buffets are open from 9:30 to 23:30.

Take a look at the 2nd floor and you will find yourself in Macaron Bar - a paradise for the sweet tooth. Here they sell all varieties of macarons beloved by the French, painted in bright colors of the rainbow, stuffed with all kinds of fillings and inviting with a delicious fragrance.

Choose your favorite flavors and try brand new ones: chocolate, raspberry, coffee, grapefruit, jasmine, vanilla, salted butter caramel…

It is easy to find an institution by the window, where the word “Paris” is laid out inside the glass rack with macaroons.

But this is not all the pleasures that the tallest Parisian offers. At the pinnacle of the Eiffel creation, 276 meters above the city, grab a glass of champagne in the Champagne bar and enjoy its exquisite bouquet, look at Paris in a new way. This moment will become the warmest memory to which you return with a light, dreamy smile.

You will be offered a choice of Alain Ducasse white champagne - its classic version for 13 euros or Light Cup for 18 euros. But one glass of sparkling wine never hurts another, so GH Mumm pink champagne is next in line: a classic for 17 euros or a Cup Light for 22 euros.

The bar is open daily 12:00 - 17:15, and after a break for an hour, resumes work 18:15 - 22:45.

If you want to celebrate an anniversary, wedding, corporate event, seminar or other crowded event, why not do it in the spacious 300-person lounge located on the 1st floor?

After restoration in 2013, the hall acquired a glass roof that opens up a breathtaking panorama of the city, modern equipment and a modular station.

The staff will help you organize your meeting in the best possible way. From 9:30 to 18:00 a seminar usually takes place (105 euros), if the event is before 15:00, then the cost is 83 euros. Cocktails from €99 and lunch or dinner menus from €71.

If desired, after the official part, the meal can be transferred to restaurant 58 or Jules Verne.

Conclusion

As you can see, there are plenty of reasons to stay at the Eiffel Tower and opportunities to get a lot of pleasure. Although it is unlikely that you will experience gastronomic ecstasy (there are more sophisticated establishments), the very fact of a fantastic dinner inside the symbol of the French capital brings a special flavor to the event, which makes the food seem tastier and the drinks more refined.

For several hours, while you indulge in bliss, drinking wine, and caring waiters flutter around you in a desire to please, the world around you suddenly becomes perfect, and the mood is fabulous.

And do not forget about the photos in the Eiffel Tower restaurant, which you will certainly take to show off on your social pages.

Dine in the heart of Paris at night... When the sun goes down, the 58 Tour Eiffel restaurant transforms into a sophisticated setting for an unforgettable evening. You will be greeted by a hostess and taken to a table where you will be enveloped in an atmosphere of luxury. Soft light and minimalism will not overshadow the beauty of the lights of the city. The ultra-modern interior design by Patrick Jouin and the gourmet classic French cuisine menu will make your evening unforgettable!

Alain Soulard's kitchen

One of the few chefs from Ducasse's team, Alain Soulard has been appointed culinary consultant and head chef at the Le Relais du Parc restaurant. In particular, he was in charge of the banquets: "I have led seminars from 10 to 350 people. My job was to keep the spirit of Alain Ducasse's cuisine even when the volumes were very large." An experience that is now very useful for organizing the kitchen at the 58 Tour Eiffel restaurant.
