We prepare fragrant and delicious muffins and cupcakes at home. For children and with them!

I really love baking cupcakes for children's parties. There are several reasons for this:

  • There are a great many recipes for such products, you can choose a new one every time;

  • the dough can be enriched with any additives to taste and imagination: berries, fruits, chocolate, cocoa, dried fruits, etc.;
  • the preparation takes time and does not require “dancing with tambourines”, and the result is always excellent.

And most importantly, children really like cupcakes.

Cupcakes

Cupcakes are small cupcakes baked in portioned molds and always decorated with some kind of cream. Outwardly they resemble mini-.

Cupcakes literally fascinate children with their appearance. If there are a lot of guests, feel free to double or even triple all the ingredients. These cupcakes are snapped up in literally 20 minutes.

Ingredients:

  • 2 eggs
  • 200 grams of butter, sour cream, powdered sugar, flour,
  • 1.5 tsp. baking powder,
  • 1 tsp vanilla sugar.

Preparation:

  1. Combine soft butter with powdered sugar and beat with a mixer.
  2. Add sour cream and beat again.
  3. Add eggs. Beat.
  4. Sift the flour, add baking powder and vanilla. Pour the liquid mixture into the dry ingredients and mix gently.
  5. You should get a thick dough. If you take it with a spoon and turn it over, the dough should not fall.
  6. Line muffin tins (or metal ones for shortbread baskets) with special paper muffin tins. Fill the containers approximately 2/3 full with dough.
  7. Place the cupcakes in a cold oven. Set the temperature to 170 degrees. Bake for about 25 minutes. You can check readiness with toothpicks. The surface of the cupcakes should not brown too much.
  8. Cool the cupcakes, remove from the molds and decorate with cream.

If you want chocolate cupcakes, add a tablespoon of cocoa to the flour. You can also put fresh or frozen fruits, berries, chocolate pieces, citrus zest, and nuts into the dough.

Any thick cream is suitable for cupcakes: butter, sour cream, custard, etc. My favorite way to decorate cupcakes is with whipped cream. If you baked chocolate cupcakes, the cream can be given the appropriate flavor using cocoa or chopped chocolate.

Children really like colorful cupcakes. That's why I often tint the cream. You can use food coloring for this purpose. But I’m not a fan of treating children to such synthetic additives, so I use only natural dyes: spices, fruit or vegetable juices.

Cupcakes are decorated with cream using a pastry syringe, bag or cornet. When I'm short on time, I just spoon it out and flatten it with a fork in a circular motion.

On top of the cream, the cupcakes can be decorated with grated waffles, coconut flakes, marmalade, candied fruits, berries and fruits, chocolate, and confectionery toppings. Don’t forget to dip fresh berries and fruits in gelatin first to prevent them from getting dry.

Bright and delicious holidays to you!

Option 1: Classic cupcake recipe for kids

Baking for children should not only be tasty, but also healthy. Muffins are a great option for breakfast, because it can be so difficult to get kids to eat, and it’s unlikely that anyone will refuse sweet pastries. Homemade cupcakes, without dyes or preservatives, can be safely given to children. For taste, you can add fresh fruits or dried fruits, prepare dough based on cottage cheese or oatmeal.

Still, you shouldn’t indulge in cupcakes too often, because even though they have the right ingredients, they contain a lot of calories. Therefore, they should be given to children within reasonable limits.

Ingredients:

  • 350-400 gr. cottage cheese;
  • 100-120 gr. butter;
  • three eggs;
  • a glass of sugar;
  • 250 gr. wheat flour;
  • 0.5 teaspoon of soda;
  • vanillin.

Step-by-step cupcake recipe for children

Cut the butter into small pieces, place in a cup and let it soften at room temperature. Mix it with egg and sugar using a blender.

Place the cottage cheese in a bowl and mash with a fork to remove any lumps. Combine with the butter mixture and stir thoroughly until smooth.

Sift the flour through a sieve so that it is saturated with oxygen. Add to the curd mass, add baking soda and a pinch of vanilla. Knead into a not very thick dough.

Grease muffin tins with butter. Pour the dough into each, leaving the edge about one and a half centimeters free, as it will rise.

Place the forms with the dough on a baking sheet and place in the oven for 35-40 minutes at 180 C.

Give the finished cupcakes time to cool slightly and transfer them from the molds to a plate.

Before serving, the muffins can be lightly dusted with powdered sugar or served with any jam, preserves or honey.

You can make children’s cupcakes filled with homemade jam very simply and quickly. Jam is also suitable, but it is better if it is not store-bought, but made with your own hands.

Leave the dough to rest for 15 minutes - then the cupcakes will turn out especially airy.

Grease muffin tins with butter. Pour the dough into each, filling the volume by a third.

Place a teaspoon of jam or preserves in each mold. Pour more batter on top until the pan is two-thirds full.

Place the molds on a baking sheet and place in the oven. Bake at 180 degrees for about 25-30 minutes. Allow the baked goods to cool slightly so that the hot filling does not burn.

Serve the cupcakes with tea or compote.

Option 3: Carrot muffins for kids

Carrot muffins are very similar to those made in kindergarten. If children do not like raisins, they can be omitted from the recipe. And carrots will give baked goods a pleasant golden hue, so neither adults nor children will be able to refuse muffins.

Pour hot water over the raisins for 5-7 minutes, then drain the water, remove the dry tails and place the raisins on a towel to absorb excess moisture.

Peel, wash and grate the carrots using a grater with the smallest holes.

Salt the whipped butter, add soda, 2 drops of vanilla essence. Place carrots and eggs into a bowl. Blend with a blender for about a minute

Sift the flour through a sieve so that the muffins are airy and soft. Mix with raisins and add to the first mixture. Mix the dough thoroughly with a spoon until no pure flour remains.

Grease muffin tins with butter. Fill them with dough, but not all the way to the top, as the cupcakes will rise during baking.

Leave the cupcakes in the molds for 10 minutes - after that they will be easy to remove.

Cool the baked goods, sprinkle with powdered sugar or pour over liquid honey if desired, and serve with tea.

Option 4: Banana muffins for kids

Banana muffins turn out very tender, with a pleasant fruity aroma. Bananas need to be ripe, but not too soft. You can reduce the sugar portion if you want cupcakes that are not too sweet.

Ingredients:

  • 140-150 gr. Sahara;
  • half a pack of butter;
  • two eggs;

Cool the finished cupcakes, remove from the molds, and season with powdered sugar or other sweet toppings to taste.

Option 5: Oatmeal muffins for kids

Sometimes you really want to please your family with sweet pastries, but when there are children in the house, the baked goods should also be healthy. Oatmeal muffins are easy, quick to make and use the simplest ingredients. The baked goods are low-calorie and this is a great option for feeding your children oatmeal if they don’t like it.

Ingredients:

  • 200 gr. oatmeal;
  • 60-70 gr. granulated sugar;
  • a couple of tablespoons will do the trick. oils;
  • a teaspoon of baking powder;
  • a handful of raisins;
  • chicken egg;
  • a pinch of salt;
  • 230-240 ml. milk.

How to cook

Oatmeal flakes should not be instant, but those that are cooked for 10 minutes. Pour into a cup, add milk and leave for 5-10 minutes.

Add eggs to oatmeal and whisk. Then add granulated sugar, salt and butter. Mix well until the mixture is homogeneous, leave for another 10 minutes.

Pour raisins into a separate cup and add hot water. After 7-10 minutes, drain the water, clean the raisins from debris and dry on a paper towel.

Add raisins and baking powder to the oat mixture, stir well. If desired, you can add walnut pieces at this stage.

Let the dough rest for a while. If the molds are ordinary, put a paper liner in them or coat them well with oil. It is convenient to use silicone molds - they do not require additional processing, and the dough will not stick.

Pour the dough into the molds so that the edge remains empty by about 1-1.5 cm, since the cupcakes will begin to rise in volume during baking.

Heat the oven to 180 degrees. Place the forms with the dough on a baking sheet and bake for 30-35 minutes - the time will be different in each oven.

Cool the finished cupcakes slightly and remove from the molds. They turn out tender inside and with a delicious crust. It’s almost impossible to tell by taste that they are made not from flour, but from oatmeal.
