Having prepared all the necessary ingredients, you can start preparing the “Chicken High” salad. Cut the loaf (white bread) into cubes.

Place the loaf pieces in a hot dry frying pan and dry until golden brown. Crackers can also be prepared in the oven. To do this, place the loaf pieces on a baking sheet covered with parchment. Sprinkle them with olive (sunflower) oil and bake for 15 minutes at an oven temperature of 150C.

Grate hard cheese on a fine grater.

Wash the tomato and cut it into cubes.

  • vinegar - 1 tbsp.
  • salt – 0.3 tsp.

How to prepare a salad with poppy seeds, chicken and croutons:

It’s best to start preparing the salad by pickling the onions. This process will take approximately half an hour. The onion should be cut into small cubes and placed in a bowl. In a separate bowl, bring water to a boil with the addition of sugar and salt, stir. As soon as the liquid boils, remove it from the heat and pour it into the onion. Add vinegar and mix again. When the onion in the marinade cools, it will become soft and mild, lose its bitter taste and become an excellent addition to the salad. After time has passed, the marinade must be drained.

The main ingredient of this salad is, of course, chicken. Typically the salad is made from smoked chicken breast. You can also use smoked ham, but due to the presence of bones in it, the cooking process will take a little longer. So, the smoked breast must be cut into small cubes.

Tomatoes for salad should be ripe but firm. Wash the fruits and wipe with a napkin, cut into cubes.

Crackers can be used either purchased or prepared yourself. Store-bought crackers from a pack are simple and quick, but there are times when you have to prepare crackers yourself. To prepare homemade crackers, take 3-4 slices of bread, cut off the crusts, and cut the crumb into small cubes. Drizzle them with olive oil, sprinkle with salt and pepper, and toss to coat. Place on a baking sheet and dry in a preheated oven for 10-15 minutes or in a slow cooker in the “baking” mode for 30 minutes.
