The fruits are egg-shaped, smooth, slightly oblong, bright coloring - from purple to deep red. There are also yellow fruits, but they are less sweet. Mangosteen (garcinia, mankut)

The fruit is about the size of a small apple, hard on the outside, with white soft flesh. The skin is dark purple. Unripe, very tasteless, like raw potatoes with a taste of coffee. Usually it is easy to run into such a mangosteen at the beginning of the season. The pulp tastes like nothing, sweet and sour. Sometimes there are overripe fruits, then they are also tasteless.

Harvest season from April to September. Some call the mangosteen the king of fruits, but personally I did not find anything surprising in it.

Longkong (Longan)

A very interesting fruit, just like the previous ones, does not look like any familiar to us. The fruits are the size of cherry tomatoes, the skin is light brown to yellow. The pulp is transparent, soft, elastic. The fresh light taste of the pulp is sweet and sour, pleasant, difficult to compare with anything.
