Recipes for children from 8 months. Soups for babies

The diet of an eight-month-old baby on artificial and breastfeeding is becoming more diverse every day. It already contains at least 3 types of cereals (buckwheat, corn, rice), fermented milk products, juices, lean meat, hypoallergenic vegetables and fruits. The baby receives three complementary foods a day, so food at this time can be tasty and varied. The main thing for mom is to try to preserve the natural taste of products, avoid sweeteners.

Proper nutrition of the child is the basis of full growth and development

Baby feeding schedule at 8 months

In the menu of an 8-month-old baby, you can enter several products at once: carrots, pumpkin, low-fat white fish, biscuit cookies, yolk. He is already "armed" with his teeth and is ready to get acquainted with meat, fish, new varieties of fruits. New foods in the baby's diet

Every mother wants to diversify the baby's diet as soon as possible, but this should be done gradually.

Mom's desire to diversify the baby's menu at 8 months is natural. When introducing new foods, it is important to carefully monitor the digestion and skin reaction of the crumbs. If there is diarrhea, constipation, vomiting, rash, the product introduced the day before is excluded. You can return to it no earlier than in 2-3 weeks. The interval between the introduction of new products is a week.

In the diet of 8-month-old breastfed and formula-fed babies, there may be:

  1. Milk (in the absence of an allergy to its protein) can be used in a diluted form to create cereals, mashed potatoes, stew fish and other dishes. Of the fermented milk products in the daily diet, yogurts, cottage cheese, children's kefir and fermented baked milk are approved.
  2. Fruit. The child can try juices and purees from baby food. It is advisable to start with single-component products (apple, plum, apricot juices and purees), gradually moving to multi-component products. Fruit should grow in the area where the family lives. By the end of 8 months, you can eat blackcurrants, strawberries and raspberries.
  3. Meatballs and pates. Nutritionists and pediatricians, including Dr. Komarovsky, recommend including them in the daily menu for both breastfed and formula-fed babies. Meat contains valuable amino acids, iron, necessary for the proper development of muscles and the nervous system. The baby can taste high-quality rabbit meat, turkey, beef. Soups should be prepared exclusively on vegetable broths.
  4. Lean white fish (we recommend reading:). A new product in the baby's diet if he receives complementary foods from 5 months. It is rich in phosphorus, valuable amino acids and vitamins that are important for the harmonious growth of the baby. For the first time, it is important to choose marine species - hake, pollock, or fresh - carp. Acquaintance with salmon is better to postpone until 2 years. Some mothers whose children are on breastfeeding put off fish food for up to 10 months, which is a variant of the norm.
  5. Bakery products. Wheat bread is a new product, the daily volume of which in the diet is no more than 5 grams. It is too early for a child to try rye bread, but you can give children's biscuit cookies, bagels, crackers.

The basis of a child’s nutrition is vegetables and fruits, but do not forget about other foods, such as meat and fish.

Principles of cooking for an 8-month-old baby

Dairy dishes

Milk porridge for children under 1 year old is prepared only on adapted milk mixtures. Cow's (goat's) milk is not absorbed by the child's fragile body, it can provoke a metabolic failure and force the child's kidneys to work in extreme mode.

The cereals are first boiled until airy, wiped and liquefied with a dry mixture dissolved in water and boiled again for a couple of minutes. Salt and sugar are not added.

Fermented milk products, such as kefir, yogurt and cottage cheese, must be adapted to the physiology of children under 1 year old.

Vegetable and fruit purees

We choose tender, without coarse fibers, vegetable crops. It can be zucchini, carrots, potatoes, pumpkin, cauliflower, petiole celery, broccoli and others.

With fruits, you need to be even more careful, since many of them can provoke allergic manifestations in a child.

Meat dishes

It is desirable to prepare puree and soufflé from meat, which are combined with vegetable puree or vegetable broth. The meat used in dishes for an 8-month-old baby should be fresh and not greasy.

Forbidden: goose and duck, fatty pork.

Fish meals

If the baby receives breast milk, then it is better to introduce fish into his diet not at the age of 8 months, but later - at 9-10 months. Fish contains many unsaturated fatty acids, minerals and vitamins and often causes allergic manifestations on the skin.

If the baby is bottle-fed, then you can carefully give him a taste of fish soufflé or mashed potatoes, starting with 1/3 teaspoon. Fish dishes for a baby can be consumed no more than 2 times a week for 30 g, mixing it with potato or vegetable puree.

Preference should be given to sea fish with white meat: pollock, hake, cod. It is better to refrain from red salmon fish. From river fish, carp and pike perch are suitable for dishes of an 8-month-old child.

You, as a mother of a growing baby, know more clearly than all other family members what your baby needs. You spend all your time with your baby, and there is an inextricable bond between you. The expedient inclusion of any dish for a baby of 8 months tells you your maternal intuition. May she never run out of you!

Nutrition of infants should be balanced and healthy. After all, a small organism grows and at the same time requires constant enrichment of the diet. At 8 months, babies are already allowed many foods, including meat, fruits, vegetables, kefir, cottage cheese. Formula-fed babies, in addition to these products, can already eat fish. At the same time, one should not forget that acquaintance with new elements of the diet should be carried out carefully, starting with the minimum portions, and with a gradual increase in the dose. What foods can and should be given to an eight-month-old baby, how to make an approximate diet for a week? More on this later.

When the stage of acquaintance with meat is passed, and no undesirable reactions are observed, you can start adding the product to vegetable purees, cook soups in meat broth, and cook soufflé. Consumption rate per day - 50 gr.
  • Fish. While breastfed babies have just begun to get acquainted with meat, the menu of artificers already includes fish products. It is better to introduce the baby to white sea fish - hake, cod, pollock. After testing these varieties, after 2-3 weeks, you can offer the baby salmon, carp and pike perch. Fish at this age should be given 2 times a week. The product should be served in the form of puree, soufflé. After a while, you can diversify the dish with vegetables. Fish is rich in B vitamins, amino acids, polyunsaturated fats, minerals. This is very important for a growing organism. The optimal dose is 5-30 gr.
  • Beverages. Be sure to include vegetable and fruit juices (80 ml) in the baby's diet. At this age, it is better to dilute them by half with water. Acquaintance with juices should occur only after the baby has tasted fruit purees, and if there are no reactions, then you can safely please him. Be sure to drink boiled or filtered water. Video about feeding a baby at 8 months

Features of drawing up a daily feeding regimen and menu for children with allergies

We think that it should not be pointed out that an allergic child should eat only hypoallergenic mixtures. In no case should you give such a baby cow's milk. According to generally accepted norms, complementary foods for allergic children are introduced 1 month later.

If the child is 8 months old, then the following allergenic foods should not be introduced into the diet:

  • chicken eggs;
  • whole milk products;
  • fish;
  • citrus;

You should be careful when introducing crumbs of orange-red vegetables, fruits and berries (carrots, red apples, cherries, etc.) into the menu. The basis of nutrition should be lean meats, fermented milk products cooked at home or bought in a dairy kitchen, vegetables. Porridge (gluten-free) should only be cooked with water. Meat is allowed to be introduced only at 9-10 months, and fish - closer to a year. As for fruits, first the child should be introduced to the green apple, and then gradually introduce pears, plums, bananas, and yellow currants into the diet. Eggs are completely excluded up to 1 year or replaced by quail.

The menu of a child at 8 months of age should be balanced. There is no particular difference between formula-fed and breast-fed babies. Unless an artificial person needs more wholesome food, and a baby at this age can have mother's milk and food in proportions of 50:50, since he receives almost all the substances the child needs from his mother.

The baby can already eat a lot, but it is still worth carefully introducing him to new products. New food is introduced into the diet gradually to observe the reaction of the baby's body. You can add new products to your favorite dishes - then they will be perceived better.

The first (after sleep) and the last feeding (before bedtime) should be formula milk or breast milk!

What products are available?

What to feed a baby at 8 months? Definitely porridge. You can cook, corn, rice, oatmeal porridge separately, or you can mix several cereals. It is better to do this in cow or goat milk, diluted a little with water.

In addition to cereals, the baby should eat:

  • vegetables (all varieties of cabbage, zucchini, potatoes, pumpkin, onions, carrots);
  • fruits (apples, bananas, pears, peaches);
  • berries (currants, raspberries, blueberries, cherries);
  • meat (veal, rabbit, turkey, chicken);
  • eggs (no more than one egg twice a week);
  • fermented milk products (cottage cheese, kefir, yogurt);
  • herbs (parsley, green onions, dill);
  • legumes (beans, peas);
  • fish (lean fillet).

The last point has been controversial for a long time. Some mothers say that it is too early to give fish at such a young age, others insist that the fish contains the substances necessary for proper brain activity, which is important at a time when the baby learns the world. Remember that the child's diet is thought out only by the mother, who sees her child and his reaction to different foods.

What foods are banned?

There are also a number of foods that are undesirable in the diet of an 8-month-old baby. We will not write about chips, crackers, sweets bought in the store, mayonnaise and so on, because this is a matter of course. In addition, it is better not to give the baby:

  • melon;
  • watermelon;
  • kiwi;
  • nutritional yeast;
  • bread;
  • flour;
  • fatty;
  • acute;
  • sweet (marshmallow and similar sweets);
  • sausage and other raw-smoked products.

Salt, spices or sugar should not be put in the child's food, you can only season it with sunflower or butter for taste. I will also change a child of 8 months on breastfeeding, or on an artificial one, everything that he has allergic reactions to, diarrhea or constipation should be removed.

Sample menu for the day

  • 10:00 - any porridge, fruit juice or fruit and vegetable puree;

  • 21.00-22.00 - milk or mixture.

This is how the menu of a child of 8 months looks like for every day, but all children are unique: someone eats complementary foods from 4 months, and someone at 8 months only gets to know him. Only the regimen itself remains unchanged in children: feeding occurs 4-6 times a day, leaving an interval of about 4-5 hours. Some people eat when they wake up in the middle of the night. Try not to overfeed your baby at night so that his body also rests during sleep.

Sample menu for the week

Creating a child's menu for 8 months for a week is practically a science. It is necessary to distribute meals for a week in such a way that the baby gets the maximum benefit from them, and so that he does not get tired of eating the same thing. We have made the following approximate table:

The menu of a child of 8 months on artificial feeding or on the chest does not have to look exactly like that. Adjust it at your discretion, ask your pediatrician, and most importantly, watch the baby. If the baby does not like the product, try giving it little by little, mixing with other products. The child refuses to eat, for example, broccoli, "calculating" in any puree? Stop feeding her and try again after a few months.

Finally

Between meals, treat your baby to drying or homemade crackers so that he scratches his gums. Be sure to give juice, water or compote throughout the day. It is better to make the drink yourself to be sure of its quality. You know how to feed a child - it remains only to figure out how to create a varied menu from these products. Try to decorate dishes at the same time - the child will like it, and he will eat with great appetite.

Soups for children under one year old are an important element in the development of the baby. After all, they improve digestion, ensure proper absorption of food and have a positive effect on intestinal motility. It is necessary to learn how to cook soup for babies so that the child does not refuse to eat and gets the maximum benefit from the finished product.

When to Introduce Soups into Your Diet

Today, soups are introduced into the baby's diet, depending on how often the baby is breastfed, and what types of complementary foods have already been introduced. So, soups during breastfeeding (we are talking mainly about vegetarian options) are administered immediately after the introduction of vegetables. These first courses are the same vegetable puree, only diluted with a light broth.

Pediatricians also talk about the age at which children should be given soups. Doctors believe that the optimal solution will be 6-7 months, immediately after the introduction of complementary foods.

Proponents of this theory make the diet of crumbs more diverse in accordance with age. So, they can use soups with small meatballs from 8 months (the time of introducing meat into complementary foods). You can also add chopped poultry fillet to the broths. Naturally, these will be mostly pureed. From 9-12 months, you can offer the crumbs the first dish, which will be crushed with a fork. This will encourage chewing. Closer to the year, you can also add an ear.

What options are suitable for the baby

Before you start cooking soups for one-year-old babies, you should study the list of recommended options so as not to harm the health of the crumbs. Among the most popular soups for a child at 1 year old are:

  • Fish
  • Vegetable
  • Dairy Options

In an effort to diversify the diet of the crumbs, you should not get carried away and offer him more "adult" options - tomato, garlic, cheese. Also, you can not use such a soup for children under one year old, like okroshka.

How to cook soups for kids

For a baby, the first soups, despite the minimum of products, can still be varied. Parents often have a question: what soups can be prepared for a baby who is not yet a year old.

Firstly, for a baby, you need to cook soup based on water, and not broth (meat or fish), because. the latter is heavy food for the crumbs. After all, meat can lead to an overload of the pancreas and liver. Fish soup for a child aged 1 year is not recommended, because fish is an allergen.

Secondly, you need to take special water - filtered or bottled. Soups should be started on the basis of those vegetables that have already been introduced into the diet of crumbs. Later it will be possible to combine 2-3 vegetables at a time, but it is worth starting with monovariants. To prepare optimal nutrition for a child at 1 year old, it is worth adding to the soup:

  • Buckwheat
  • Millet

Such products are considered hypoallergenic. In order to form healthy habits and a varied taste in a child, it is recommended to alternate and change products in the recipe.

At first, it is better to avoid the use of spices - they interrupt the natural taste of the product, spoil the taste buds of the crumbs. The maximum that can be added to the soup is greens: parsley and dill. Even a little salt can distort the taste of the dish.

Soup must be cooked fresh - at a time. To prepare first courses, you should use a blender - it will allow you to make the product optimally homogenized. Vegetables grind them pretty quickly.
