    Do not use undiluted ketchup or tomato juice as a baking sauce. These products increase the cooking time of the potatoes. But you can dilute them with sour cream, cream or mayonnaise. Mayonnaise itself is already an excellent option.

    If you have to boil the potatoes before baking (for example), this should be done over low heat, but it should boil constantly. When cooked over high heat, the top layer of tubers falls apart, but the inside remains damp.

    When baking potatoes with meat or vegetables, you need to consider how quickly the individual components reach a state of readiness. Otherwise, some of the food will begin to dry out or burn, and some will be half cooked.

1. Potatoes stewed in the oven

Ingredients

For preparation you will need:

    1 kilo of potatoes;

    350 g carrots;

    250 g onions;

    ¼ cup vegetable oil;

    bay leaf to taste;

    ground pepper or peas to taste;

Preparation

Divide each potato into 8 - 10 parts. Grate the carrots on a fine grater and chop the onions into cubes.

Procedure

Place the potato cubes in a baking container (for example). Add salt, a couple of bay leaves and a few balls of peppercorns (or a pinch of ground). Add boiled or raw water by eye so that the potatoes barely peek out. Cover the pan and place in the prepared oven.

Make a longitudinal cut along each tuber. You can put a piece of butter or lard in the potatoes, as well as any other filling of your choice.

Before baking it in the oven, wrap one tuber at a time in foil. Several layers will be more reliable.

    Place potato slices into a container with whites and add spices there. Mix everything with your hands so that the potato wedges take on an equal amount of spices and protein.

    Transfer the potatoes to a greased baking sheet (for example), and level them. Bake for 45 minutes, turning occasionally to ensure even cooking.

Result

The end result is potatoes that are the same as fries, but less harmful. This way you can fry potatoes in the oven with meat or chicken. It's better to take small parts, like wings.

4. French fries cooked in the oven

You can make French fries much easier and faster in the oven rather than using a deep fryer. It will turn out more appetizing, and there will be less hassle.

Ingredients

To prepare you need:

    800 g potatoes;

    refined oil;

    salt and spices.

Preparation

Before cooking French fries in the oven, cut the peeled potatoes into bars. The oven (for example) needs to be heated.

Procedure

    If you have special baking parchment, line it with a baking dish suitable for baking (such as). If not, just grease with any vegetable or butter fat.

    The potato pieces themselves should also be generously poured with oil, sprinkled with a mixture of salt and spices, and then mixed thoroughly with your hands.

    Leave the mixture for about 5 minutes so that it is saturated with the aroma of spices. After this, as carefully as possible with your fingers, you need to mix everything again, put it in a mold and bake in the oven for three quarters of an hour at a temperature of about 180°.


Result

Even an inexperienced cook can cook potatoes in this form. Fries can be used both as a side dish and as an appetizer with various sauces.

5. Potatoes baked with chicken legs

To make your daytime or evening meal not only tasty, but also nutritious, try baking chicken legs in the oven along with potatoes. It is not necessary to use these exact parts of the bird. As an alternative, both wings and thighs turn out delicious.

Ingredients

We will need:

    1 kg of legs;

    1 onion;

    1 kg of potatoes;

    spices and herbs;

    refined oil;

    fatty mayonnaise.

Preparation

Cooking the legs in this way should be done slowly. Place the poultry, cut up, washed and pre-marinated for 30 minutes in the refrigerator, with potatoes in the oven. Chicken is delicious marinated with butter and spices such as rosemary, black pepper or smoked paprika. Add mayonnaise sauce and seasonings to the potatoes themselves, add a little salt and mix.

Please note that here the potatoes must first be peeled with a special one. Cut each into 8 slices, add a little salt. Divide the onion into half rings.

    tenderloin or cue ball - 0.5 kg;

    a pair of onions;

    a cup of mayonnaise;

    ¼ cup refined oil;

    300 g cheese;

    salt and herbs.

Preparation

Before baking, potatoes, meat and other ingredients need to be prepared. Cut the well-washed meat (a knife is useful as for chops), beat with a wooden mallet and add salt.

We cut the peeled potatoes either into circles, if they are not large, or into halves of circles - if the tubers are the size of a fist. Small potatoes can be left whole. For the dish, the onions should be cut into rings. But if it’s inconvenient to cut them like this, and they are too large, then half rings will do. The cheese can be shredded or grated.

Procedure

    For cooking you will need a mold, it is better if it has high sides (for example), greased with vegetable oil.

    Place potato slices in the bottom layer and lightly add salt. Add spices.

    The next layer is made of onion rings, and then a layer of meat. It also needs to be peppered and anointed with spices if desired.

    Using a spoon or fork, place the required amount of mayonnaise sauce on the pork and distribute.

First you need to bake the potatoes and meat for 45-50 minutes so that the pork has time to bake. Then take out the mold and place a layer of cheese on top. Next, you need to cook the meat and potatoes for about 10 minutes in the oven (for example), until the cheese melts.
