It is important that the barcode is genuine. You can check it yourself. To do this, do the following:

  • add up all the numbers in even places;
  • Multiply the resulting amount by 3; result - let's call it X - remember;
  • add up all the numbers in odd places, without the first (control) digit;
  • add the number X to this sum;
  • the sum turned out - let's call it YZ;

Let's check the Jacobs coffee barcode: 4000508082504 (check digit - 4) 0+0+0+0+2+0=2 2×3=6 4+0+5+8+8+5=30 30+6 =36 We leave 6 from 36. 10-6=4 - the result corresponds to the check digit.

I have been buying ground Jacobs Monarch for many years, and so, I also noticed more than once that if the package with the action is cocoa coffee, it’s better not to buy it.

I have not taken ground for a long time. Since a couple of times I also got on acorns. Only in grains. If anything, you can grind yourself.

Alexei

And I think what kind of crap was Jacobs Monarch. It dissolves poorly, and among the light brown sublimated grains, 1/3 of the dark grains of unknown origin (such as in granulated coffee). Of course, when buying soft packaging, you will not see its composition. It's a shame. After buying the last pack (brought, by the way, from Russia), I began to rummage on the Internet and came across this article. And now what to drink?

Nikolai Anatolievich

I work in the trade for bullshit-quality Jacobs - a bunch, but it differs in color, bullshit has a dull color. About 3-4 months ago in the Boguslavsky district in the hut the machine was seized by the production of Jacobs. In the bazaars, you can see a lot of it at a price. It cannot be cheaper than the official Kraft Foods distributor.

Papatut

Yes, unfortunately, now very often it is Jacobs (as one of the most expensive and most popular coffees) that is actively counterfeited. There are also many fakes on the market. Often, chasing super-profits, it is precisely such “wholesale bases” and bazaars that distribute counterfeit. You won't find this in a normal store. Kraft has already sent more than one paper for use as a counterfeit.

conclusions

The Russian market receives a considerable amount of counterfeit instant coffee. It is made either from low-grade, moist grains, or malt, figs, chicory are added to the raw materials, burnt sugar, caramelizates, shells of coffee beans. Such a product usually has an empty taste, with bitterness and acidity uncharacteristic of coffee. Coffee with "illegal" additives cannot be considered 100%, since its quality is determined precisely by the content.

On the one hand, we, the buyers, are the main victims of falsification, and on the other hand, the major coffee concerns. They are losing the reputation gained by decades of hard work. Many connoisseurs of coffee brands such as Jacobs (Germany), Nescafe (Switzerland), Elite Classic (Israel), Cafe Pele (Brazil), Tchibo (Germany), Mossopa (Holland) , Folgers (USA), Maxwell House (USA) and others have probably already noticed that it is better to buy your favorite coffee

in specialized stores or departments of large trading enterprises, and not in small wholesale markets.

The abundance of counterfeit products sometimes shocks consumers, especially when they encounter it where they would not expect it at all - in a chain store. It is clear that scammers are trying to fake the most sought-after goods.

Coffee, which won the love of many Russians, was no exception. Italian made Lavazza. Recently, more and more information has appeared about the sale of fakes of this brand, and naturally, no one like Lavazza will tell you better how to protect yourself from buying counterfeit products.

Signs of a company selling a fake

It is clear that the scammers themselves, who produce counterfeit products, rarely directly deal with its implementation. They tend to find smaller companies that are tempted by a low supply price in pursuit of profit. There are several signs that can make you think about the quality of the products offered by a certain company.

    Lack of cashless payment. This is perhaps one of the main signs of a company selling counterfeit. If you are told that the payment is only for cash, then you should think about it - this is an alarm signal. A company that does not have a bank account can definitely be classified as unreliable. Will the manufacturer enter into a distribution cooperation agreement with a company that essentially works "on the knee"? Then where can she get the goods? Either from an official dealer, but it will already be offered at a much higher price, or from counterfeit manufacturers offering their products at a bargain price.

    We recommend that you resort to this trick, ask the company about the possibility of paying for coffee to the company's current account, if you are refused even, citing temporary difficulties, you should not cooperate with such a company.

  • They don't provide a check. It is especially important to pay attention to this when you first order. The absence of a check may indicate that the company is working “on its knee”, without a cash register, and therefore is not registered with the tax authority. Draw your own conclusions.
  • The limited number of employees may suggest that this is some kind of "sharashka office." When the same employee is engaged in both taking orders and delivering them, this may indicate a lack of professionalism and a desire to make a quick profit. Before you is most likely an ordinary "dealer" engaged in resale. Such offices, even the word "company" is somehow unethical to apply to them, they are not interested in ascertaining the quality of the products sold.

How to distinguish original Lavazza packaging from a fake?

It makes no sense to study all the variants of the detected fakes. Fraudsters improve their products, making them look less and less different from the original. It is better to carefully examine the features of the original packaging. The manufacturer does everything necessary to make it different from the fake. So since July 2017, Lavazza has updated the design of many coffee packages. This is especially true for the most frequently counterfeited brands - ORO, Crema e Aroma, Rossa, Dek u Caffe Espresso.

On Russian market So far, there are many unsold original products in the old packaging, but along with it, buyers can already see them in the new ORO format. Therefore, consider the features of the new Qualita ORO design:

  • in the center on the front side of the package there is a horizontal black and red stripe (black - at the bottom, red - at the top);
  • a little bit more dark color packaging;
  • a block with a description of the flavor profile and strength of taste appeared on the pack, but information about the degree of roasting disappeared;
  • some information (in particular about the importer) in Russian;
  • the round red logo with the brand name has been changed;
  • updated cooking method logos.

Lavazza coffee Oro, grain, 1 kg.

What general requirements must the original packaging of Lavazza coffee meet?

  • High quality packaging: no delaminations, unnecessary creases and folds, especially at its ends; factory gluing of seams along the entire length, the presence of a check valve with a slot.
  • The contents of a pack of coffee are evenly distributed throughout the volume. This is especially true for ground coffee packed using the vacuum method.
  • The font is bold and clear, the colors are bright, and the text complies with the Customs and Technical Regulations of the Russian Federation. According to legal requirements on the packaging food products, and coffee belongs to this category of goods, the following should be indicated: NAME, WEIGHT, DATE AND TIME OF PRODUCTION, BATCH NUMBER, STORAGE CONDITIONS and EXPIRY DATE, NAME AND ADDRESS OF THE MANUFACTURER.
  • The information listed above is indicated by the importer on an ADDITIONAL LABEL. Its presence is an essential requirement, because. on the packaging of a European manufacturer, only the date when the expiration date expires is indicated, and - Nota bene! - production time (the European regulation is simplified compared to ours).

Important point - counterfeit mainly kilogram packages. But in any case, check: if hours and minutes of production are not indicated on a pack of coffee, regardless of the weight denomination, then this is definitely a fake!

Exploring the contents of a Lavazza pack

It is not always possible to distinguish a fake from external data. But the contents of the package loudly testify to its origin, confirming either its authenticity or counterfeit.

  • The aroma of real high-quality coffee can not be faked. Therefore, if there is a fake inside, then, upon opening the package, you will immediately “feel” it by the absence of this smell of coffee reaching the most remote corners of the room.
  • Coffee beans produced by Lavazza are characterized by a uniform degree of roasting. Grains as for selection, color uniformity - brown-chocolate. Grains of fake Lavazza coffee are distinguished by their heterogeneity, and a wide range colors. It feels like the entire marriage of roasting was simply poured into the pack.
  • A drink made from fake coffee does not differ in taste delights (there may be an earthy aftertaste due to the use of robusta - coffee beans lower quality) and does not produce the lather characteristic of the original Lavazza.

To summarize, then buy a real original coffee"Lavazza" is not such a difficult task. Most The best way protect yourself from counterfeiting - order products from a trusted official dealer of the Italian brand - Vodokhleb LLC (Moscow and Moscow region)

The presence of counterfeit products in the modern consumer market has long been no surprise to anyone. Most often counterfeit expensive goods that are most in demand among buyers.

Italian coffee, which is produced under the brand name Lavazza, also found twins. Recently, this company has increasingly received reports of the discovery of new counterfeit options. That is why the manufacturer does not stop looking for effective ways to deal with fraudsters. Representatives of the company tell how to protect yourself from buying counterfeit goods. Today, before buying coffee lavazza oro 1000 g beans with free shipping you first need to understand price category product, average price for 2017 in the Russian Federation it cannot be lower than 1000 rubles, and this is taking into account all promotions and discounts. As for the price of such an item as ground coffee lavazza qualita oro 250 grams with delivery, it cannot be cheaper than 300 rubles for tin can or 280 rubles for a vacuum pack.

How to recognize a store that sells a fake?

In all stories with the distribution of counterfeit products, there are two main characters: the manufacturer of the surrogate and its seller. As a rule, small companies that want to make quick money and are bought at a low supply price are engaged in the implementation of counterfeit products.

Signs by which you can determine that the store is trying to sell you a counterfeit product:

  1. It is not possible to pay by bank transfer in the store.
  2. The seller does not provide a cash receipt for the first purchase.
  3. The company has a limited number of employees.
  4. Limited range, usually fake packs - 1 kg.
  5. Do not be lazy and read reviews about the company on the Internet.

If you cannot pay with a card in a store, then this institution does not have its own bank account. Such companies are clearly classified as unreliable. In other words, will a company that produces really real and high-quality products supply goods to a distributor who literally works “on his knee”? Obviously, in most cases the answer to this question will be negative.

A new question is ripening: where will a small and unsuccessful store buy goods? Either an intermediary, cooperation with which will cost a pretty penny, or from scammers who produce cheap and affordable counterfeit goods.

Based on the foregoing, experts in sales and purchases of products advise you to ask the selling company for a current account before buying coffee. If your request is not granted or the store representative refers to temporary difficulties with the cashless payment system, he is probably selling a fake.

The check is the main evidence that the store has a cash register, a bank account and registration with the tax authority. Such a company complies with the law, which means it does not sell fakes.

The number of employees in any institution speaks of its prestige. Every self-respecting company will not keep the same person in several positions. For example, a salesperson cannot be both a manager and a cleaner in one person. A simple peddler of products cannot accept goods from a distributor, otherwise what kind of professionalism and high-quality performance of their duties can we talk about? ..

Original and fake Lavazza packaging: what are the main differences?

Fraudsters are constantly improving their products and doing everything to make them look identical to the original. Therefore, it makes no sense to consider a fake and, using its example, highlight obvious signs by which a fake can be identified. You need to look at the original packaging in detail and compare it with what you see in the store.

The official coffee manufacturer does everything to ensure that the packaging of its product has an original and unique design. So, this summer, Lavazza once again refreshed the design of its packaging for those types of coffee that are most often counterfeited: Crema e Aroma, Rossa and more.

At the moment, not every consumer will be able to see the implemented changes in the design of packages. The market still lacks unsold products packaged in outdated packaging. However, coffee called ORO is already actively distributed in containers with a new design. The main features of the updated design:

  • the front side of the package is decorated with a double horizontal line (red on top, black on the bottom);
  • the main color of the package has become darker;
  • among the text placed on the pack, a column appeared about the taste and strength of the product;
  • the degree of roasting was removed;
  • there was information presented in Russian;
  • changed the logo with the brand name;
  • cooking options are now indicated by updated pictures.

General requirements for original Lavazza coffee:

  • the product must be packed in high-quality containers;
  • the pack should not be half empty, its contents are evenly distributed throughout the entire volume of the container;
  • information on the package is indicated in bold and clear print and in accordance with the customs and technical regulations Russia;
  • All images and backgrounds are in vibrant colors.

No delaminations or folds are allowed along the perimeter of the package. All seams are glued mechanically.

According to the law of the Russian Federation, the following data must be indicated on the coffee packaging without fail:

  • the product's name;
  • manufacturer and his contact details;
  • coffee weight;
  • the date and time the product was manufactured;
  • batch number;
  • conditions under which it is necessary to store coffee;
  • best before date.

All the above information is indicated by the importing company not on the original coffee packaging, but on an additional sticker. This is due to the fact that the European regulation is much simpler than the domestic one. Foreign legislation requires that only the production time and expiration date be indicated on such products.

What does the statistics say? Most often fake large packages of coffee, weighing 1 kg.

We determine the counterfeit by the contents of the pack - the color and aroma of the grains matter

According to external data, it is not always possible to distinguish fake coffee from the original, but the internal contents of the pack will not deceive. Quality coffee always has a persistent and pleasant aroma, which you can feel as soon as you open the product package.

Lavazza beans are characterized by uniform roasting and a uniform brown-chocolate color. A fake product is uneven in color, each grain may have a different shade than the previous one. Taste qualities counterfeit products are more scarce than the original.

When brewing coffee, you will not see abundant foam. An earthy aftertaste may be present due to the fact that, along with selected beans, robusta, low-quality coffee beans, may be present in a pack with a fake.

Summing up, it should be said that in order to buy high-quality original Lavazza coffee, you must contact only a trusted distributor.

Lovers of Lavazza coffee when buying this is incredible delicious coffee, probably more than once came across such a thing as a fake or original coffee, but few people know how to distinguish the original from the fake. We will tell you how not to waste money, and how to purchase an original italian coffee Lavazza before opening the package.

IN modern world Technology surprises more and more every day. Do not stand still and wishing to earn money on someone else's behalf.

So we are increasingly faced with the fact that there are a lot of counterfeit goods of the world famous coffee TM "Lavazza" on the market.

This product is sold at a price lower than in Italy itself, while fakes have a number of external differences, knowing about which you will not pay for the name on the package and grain of dubious quality inside, but you will be able to choose a truly original quality product. So, the main points to pay attention to Special attention, so as not to buy Robusta at the price of 100% Arabica in a package with a loud inscription Lavazza!

The first and most important sign of a fake, which is easy to determine visually, is the presence of a fold, which is located on the side of the package, where the production date is put.

Here are some illustrative examples on some positions of Lavazza coffee. This article applies to packages of both ground and grain coffee!

1. First of all, we examine the side of the package - it should be without an additional fold, if the fold is present in your hands is a fake.

As a rule, fakes of Ukrainian production are distinguished by an additional side fold, but if the fake is Polish or Hungarian, then this fold may not exist, then we proceed to the next point of inspection.

2. Carefully inspect the valve and determine its type.

Using the example of Lavazza coffee beans 1000g, we will look at the types of valves. So, Lavazza has two types of valves: the familiar valve with one slot, we will conditionally call it "old", and with two slots, which appeared on packs relatively recently (at the end of 2014), we will call it "new".

"Old" valve

If there is an "old" valve on the package, then the place where it is located must be smooth, without obvious recesses around the valve, without soldering or pressing marks, with one neat, vertical slot. The location of the valve (higher or lower) does not matter.

The valve should look like it has been pressed in and glued on the inside of the package, but never soldered on the outside.

"New" valve

If there is a "new" valve on the pack, then the place where it is located does not look as perfect as with the "old" valve, but the valve itself has the inscription Luigi Goglio Milano and if we rub something dense in the middle of the valve (for example, a fingernail) - then we will see the imprint of the inscription on the foil.

Attention! The inscription is present only on the so-called "new" valves.

3. Soldering on the package.

Depending on which valve is installed on the package, "old" or "new" are used different methods soldering on the package.

If the "Old" valve is installed, then the soldering from the bottom of the package at the junction should have deep waves.

At the same time, on the upper tail of the package, soldering was made using the method of three stripes in the form of waves similar to folds.

If a "New" valve is installed, then the soldering at the bottom of the package at the junction should have small waves. At the same time, the soldering on the top of the package was made using an almost even method.

4. Date marking.

The date is applied at the time of packing the product, respectively, it can be erased.

On packages fake product the date is applied at the time the package was manufactured, i.e. is not erased, and the entire batch of such goods will have the same time in hours and minutes.

We have tried to draw your attention to the main, most obvious differences. This is not counting the fact that the print is also different in quality and color, the film is thinner, the contents inside differ from the declared one not only in grain quality, but also in composition. So instead of 100% Arabica Robusta is added to Lavazza Oro. All this is covered up with a good legend that they certainly carry it from Italy themselves, hiding or not knowing that this product costs more there or almost the same. Where does the question arise: what is the cost of transportation and earnings due to which it is compensated? Of course, due to the fact that no one brings this product from Italy.

Our advice: buy from official representatives and trusted places, ask for quality documents and then quality, original product You will easily distinguish, without spoiling the mood from wasted money.
