  • Champignons (canned) - 100 g

For the salad, you first need to boil the chicken breast, eggs and carrots. I cook them all at once, that is, at the same time, in a slow cooker.

And on the bowl is a steamer container with carrots and eggs.

When the meat, carrots and eggs are ready, you can start assembling the salad. The salad is placed in layers on half a plate. Each layer is slightly “compacted” and coated with mayonnaise. More or less mayonnaise is a matter of personal preference.

The first layer is chicken. Chop the chicken.

Place on half a plate. Spread mayonnaise on top.

The next layer, the second, is grated carrots. But we don’t lay out all the carrots, because the carrots will still be needed for the top of the salad. And on the carrots - again lightly with mayonnaise.

Third layer: mushrooms - canned or pickled champignons. Chop the mushrooms. Champignons can be replaced with others. I made it with pickled boletus, it was also delicious. And with their own different wild mushrooms. After the layer of mushrooms, mayonnaise should also be applied. But I skip the mayonnaise in this layer.

The fourth layer is cheese, which must first be grated. And lightly apply mayonnaise.

The fifth layer is eggs. Grate two whole eggs and one yolk (reserve the white for the top). Mayonnaise again.

All layers are already ready. Now we spread the carrots over the entire surface and on the sides. The photo shows the moment of “smearing” with carrots. This is the penultimate chord.

All that remains is to give the salad the final appearance of an orange slice by grating the egg white. The fully prepared “orange” should be placed in the refrigerator for several hours.

Peel the white onions, rinse under running water and finely chop.

In a hot frying pan with vegetable oil, fry chopped onions and carrots. Stir constantly so that the vegetables do not burn. Then place the prepared carrots and onions in a separate plate.

After boiling, boil chicken eggs hard for 10 minutes. Immediately fill the finished eggs with cold water to make peeling the eggs easier. Then separate the peeled eggs into yolk and white and grate them separately on a fine grater.

We wash the chicken fillet under running water, then transfer it to a saucepan, fill it with water and boil for 30 minutes. Cut the cooled fillet into small cubes.

Peel the champignons, wash and boil for 15 minutes. Then cut into thin slices.

Grate hard cheese on a coarse grater.

Place the ingredients in wedge shape on a large flat dish. Spread all layers of salad with mayonnaise.
Place carrots and onions in the first layer, chicken fillet in the second, then mushrooms, grated cheese in the fourth layer, chopped garlic in the sixth, yolks in the sixth, half of the whites in the seventh. Lubricate the top layer of the salad well with mayonnaise on all sides.

  • Hard cheese – 70-100 gr.;
  • Carrots – 2 pcs.
  • Potatoes – 3-4 pcs.;
  • Pickled cucumbers – 3-4 pcs.;
  • Onion – 1 pc.;
  • Mayonnaise – 200 ml;
  • Vinegar – 20 ml.

Boil potatoes, carrots and chicken. Grate the potatoes on a medium grater, place on a dish in a semicircle and brush with mayonnaise.

Orange Slice Salad is an original, interesting and simple salad recipe. It will take the hostess very little time to prepare it. But you can easily surprise all the guests! It is unlikely that they have ever tried this culinary masterpiece.

The salad looks like a real orange slice. But inside – there’s so much to see! The salad turns out hearty thanks to boiled potatoes and chicken fillet, and orange and corn give it an unusual delicate and fresh taste.

Ingredients for 4 servings of salad:

  • Boiled potatoes in their skins – 2 pcs.;
  • Chicken fillet – 140 g;
  • Boiled carrots – 3 pcs.;
  • Orange – 1 pc.;
  • Canned corn – 4 tbsp;
  • Hard cheese – 60 g;
  • Boiled chicken eggs – 2 pcs.;
  • Vegetable oil – 3 tbsp;
  • Salt and spices to taste;
  • Mayonnaise to taste.

Preparation

The first thing you need to do is boil the vegetables (potatoes and carrots) and eggs, and prepare the chicken fillet. The fillet can be simply boiled, fried in a frying pan or baked in the oven.

How to cook fillet in a frying pan? First, heat the frying pan and grease it with vegetable oil. Then sprinkle the fillet on both sides with salt and black pepper. As soon as the frying pan is hot enough, you need to place the fillet on it and cover it with a lid so that the oil does not splash in all directions. Fry the fillet over medium heat. It takes 4 minutes to cook the fillet on one side. Then you need to lightly simmer the fillet. To do this, pour a little water (50 ml) into the frying pan, cover it again with a lid and wait another 10 minutes. The fillet is ready! You can cool it.

At your discretion, cut the fillet into strips or cubes. Place it on a flat plate. The salad is layered, so it is better to choose a flat plate with a large diameter for it. The top of the fillet will need to be lightly sprinkled with mayonnaise.

Use packaged mayonnaise - it is more convenient to apply to salad.

Grate the boiled potatoes and place them on top of the fillet. We form the potato into the shape of an orange slice. The great beauty of the salad lies in the fact that it is shaped like an orange slice - it looks extremely interesting and will definitely attract the attention of guests when served. The potatoes should be lightly salted and peppered so that the salad does not turn out bland.

Next you need to lay out a layer of chopped fillet and sprinkle it with mayonnaise again.

It's time for orange. It needs to be peeled and finely chopped. Layer the pulp over the chicken fillet.

Place corn on the orange pulp and sprinkle mayonnaise on top.

Grate pre-boiled chicken eggs. Lay them out in a layer after the corn.

Basically, the salad is ready. All that remains is to turn it into an orange. To do this, grate the cheese and sprinkle it on the salad, without touching the sides.

Now we make the orange peel. To do this, grate the boiled carrots and place them on the side. That's basically all! All that remains is to decorate the salad. To do this, you can sprinkle it with sesame seeds, garnish with a sprig of dill and place real orange slices around it.

In order for the Orange Slice salad to be even tastier, juicier and more tender, it must be given time to soak. It is advisable to keep it in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours before serving.


One of the salads that can be served on the festive New Year's table is the "Orange Slice" salad with chicken, because the New Year is necessarily associated with the presence of various citrus fruits. For this salad you will not need exotic products, but only those that are tested and loved in combination. The whole “trick” will be in the design. This salad will undoubtedly look beautiful on any New Year's table.

To prepare a salad in the form of an orange slice, I decided to use the following products: potatoes, carrots, chicken fillet, pickled cucumbers, onions, hard cheese and mayonnaise.

Boil the potatoes, grate them and place them on a plate in the shape of an orange slice. Cover with mayonnaise mesh.

Cut the chicken fillet into cubes, place on top of the potatoes and cover with mayonnaise again.

Cut the onions into cubes and make a mayonnaise mesh on top. Using a fork, you can spread the mayonnaise a little on top so that it is distributed more evenly.

Cut the pickled cucumbers into cubes and coat them with mayonnaise.

Boil the carrots and grate them on a fine grater. Place carrots on the outside of the slice.

Cover the rest of the part with grated hard cheese and make carrot segments. Orange slice salad with chicken is almost ready
