To start cooking, you need to stock up on a pack of margarine, 5 eggs, and 1 tbsp. flour and sugar. Melt the margarine in a water bath. In a separate container, combine eggs, sugar, flour, melted margarine. The resulting dough must be thoroughly mixed, after which you can start baking the cones in a special waffle iron.

Each waffle, while still hot, must be placed on a cone-shaped attachment or carefully rolled into a cone yourself.

Harm of waffle cones and contraindications

Waffle cones can be harmful if you have an individual intolerance to the components of the product, and therefore their use is contraindicated if you have allergies. You should not eat them in large quantities, as this can negatively affect your weight. Obesity is a contraindication to the consumption of this product, and, in addition, the presence of sugar in the composition makes waffle cones harmful for diabetes.

And homemade ice cream consists of cream, yolks and powdered sugar. This is exactly the classic recipe for creamy vanilla ice cream originating from France. If desired, the basic set of products can be supplemented with berry or fruit purees, cocoa, and nuts to get your favorite flavors. You can make your own chocolate, berry, fruit ice cream - for every taste and color!


You don’t need special equipment like an ice cream maker - just a spoon, a saucepan, a couple of bowls, a mixer, a sieve and the freezer of any model of refrigerator, old or modern (I tried freezing here and there - it turns out great, it’s just that the old refrigerator needs more time: not steam hours and night).

And to make it even more beautiful, original and tasty, we will fill waffle cones with ice cream. Makes a wonderful summer dessert for family and friends!


Ingredients:

For waffle cones, 30 pieces:


  • 5 eggs;
  • 100 g butter;
  • 100 g sour cream (15%);
  • 150 g sugar (3/4 cup);
  • ¼ teaspoon salt;
  • 200 g flour (1.5 cups);
  • 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil.

For ice cream:

  • 4 medium yolks;
  • 150 g powdered sugar (1 cup);
  • 200 ml cream 10% fat;
  • 500 ml cream with a fat content of 33-35%;
  • A pinch of vanillin.

How to bake:

The homemade ice cream recipe requires time for the ice cream to cool, so that's where we'll start. And only then, when the ice cream is in the freezer, we’ll bake waffle cones.

So, let's separate the yolks from the whites. Egg whites can be used for meringue or chiffon sponge cake, and yolks are needed for ice cream. It is more convenient to immediately place them in a small saucepan or cast iron cauldron - the dish in which you will brew the ice cream preparation.


Add powdered sugar and vanilla to the yolks and stir with a spoon until smooth.


Then pour 10% cream into the mashed mass in a thin stream, mixing thoroughly.


And put the dishes on the fire a little more than low, but less than medium.


Cook like custard - stirring constantly (so as not to burn and there are no lumps), for about 10 minutes (possibly less or more - from 8 to 12). The cream should thicken, but not boil! Don't let it boil, otherwise the yolks will curdle. If they did this, they will have to start over. If lumps just appear, remove from heat, beat the cream with a mixer and return to the stove again. When the spoon begins to leave marks that slowly disappear, that’s enough.


Remove the cream from the heat and strain through a sieve or fine-mesh colander, and then leave to cool to room temperature.



Place the cooled piece in the freezer for 1.5-2 hours, until half frozen.


After time has passed, beat the cooled 33% heavy cream with a mixer, about 2 minutes at low speed. Don't overbeat, or you'll end up with butter. As soon as you see that liquid cream has become like sour cream, that’s enough.


Take out the half-frozen cream and mix it with whipped cream. Beat everything together until smooth and put it in the freezer again for 1.5 hours.


Then we take it out and mix it - now there will be no ice crystals in the ice cream. And now is the time for a variety of tasty additions: put part of the white ice cream in another bowl and add a spoonful of cocoa powder - you will have chocolate ice cream. Or puree a handful of fresh or frozen berries (currants, blueberries, strawberries, raspberries) with a blender, rub through a sieve and mix with ice cream. There will be a beautiful pink, lilac berry ice cream! Or you can add grated apricots for an orange color; lemon or orange zest, mint... The scope for creativity is endless!


Place the ice cream back in the freezer until completely frozen or to the consistency you like. It is very tasty either melted or unfrozen.

While the ice cream is cooling, let's bake waffles! The recipe is the same as for crispy waffle rolls, only the rolling method is slightly different, which is why you get horns rather than rolls. And also, to reduce the fat content of the waffles, I replaced half the butter with sour cream. I also reduced the amount of sugar by 50 g.

Beat softened butter (100 g) with sugar (150 g) with a mixer at medium speed for about 30 seconds. Then add the eggs - one at a time or all together, beat again until smooth, cream-like. Sift the flour, add salt and knead the dough until it is as thick as sour cream. Add a spoonful of sunflower oil and mix. We also grease the internal surfaces of the waffle iron for thin waffles and turn it on to warm up.


Pour 1 tablespoon of batter, close the waffle iron and bake the waffle until golden brown. Baking time depends on your waffle iron and can range from 30 seconds to 1.5-2 minutes.

Place the waffle cones on a plate. That's how beautiful they are!

  • Egg - 3 pcs.
  • Sugar - ¾ tbsp.
  • Melted butter - 100 g
  • Vanilla sugar - 1 tbsp.
  • Flour - 2/3 tbsp.
  • Baking powder - 2 tsp.
  • Cocoa - ¼ tbsp.

Take eggs and sugar. Whisk these ingredients until thick. Carefully add pre-melted butter and vanilla sugar to the mixture. Sift flour and baking powder thoroughly. Add them to all other ingredients. Stir the mixture until you obtain a homogeneous dough. Prepare your waffle iron. Heat it to the required temperature and coat with butter. To prepare one sugar tube you need approximately 1-2 tbsp. test. Bake each waffle for no more than 50 seconds. The cooking speed and exact amount of dough depends on what kind of waffle iron you have. Once 1 waffle is ready, quickly remove it and immediately roll it into a cone. Be careful. The dough will be hot.

In order to add an interesting note to the usual delicacy, add ¼ cup of cocoa to the dough.

It is better to sift it first. In this case, increase the amount of sugar (up to 1 cup) and baking powder (by ¼ tsp). As a result, you will get excellent chocolate straws. These waffles can be served warm with cold ice cream inside. Or you can let them cool and place them in a special container until next time.

A simple favorite treat

In order to prepare a truly delicious dessert, you need to make both waffles and ice cream yourself. Of course, to save time, you can simply buy ready-made sugar straws and make fancy ice cream to fill them with. To create a delicious dessert you will need:

  • Waffle cones - 4 pcs.
  • Heavy cream - ½ l
  • Condensed milk - ¾ cans
  • Chopped nuts - ½ tbsp.
  • Chocolate - 100 g
  • Vanillin to taste.

To make ice cream in sugar rolls, initially all the cones need to be coated inside with chocolate. Therefore, first of all, break off half a chocolate bar and melt it in a water bath. When the chocolate mixture is ready, carefully coat the entire inside of each cone with it. To do this, you can use a special brush, knife or small spatula.

If your sugar straws are small, use less chocolate. There is no need to completely fill them inside. Simply apply a thin layer of paste.

After this, put the cones in the refrigerator. The chocolate should harden. Now you can start making ice cream. Take ¾ can of condensed milk and beat it with heavy cream. Add a little vanilla to taste. Add nuts and chopped chocolate to the whipped mixture. Mix the future ice cream thoroughly. If you decide to use boiled condensed milk, then you will get an unusual creamy ice cream, a creme brulee. In this case, you can refuse to add chocolate to the mixture, because it will turn out too sweet.

Now take the cones out of the refrigerator and fill them with ice cream. It is best to use a special pastry syringe or bag for this purpose. If you simply scoop the ice cream with a spoon, the mixture will not fill the narrow part of the tube. Once you have poured the ice cream into the cones, place the dessert in the freezer until the ice cream is completely set. To prevent ice cream from leaking out of the sugar straws, place the cones in plastic cups so that they can be placed vertically. You can also use silicone molds or egg cells for such purposes. The finished delicacy can be poured with syrup and decorated with fruit.

Lemon crystals

A very simple and tasty recipe for making a wonderful delicacy. The most delicious desserts are ice cream, sugar straws and lemon crystals. It is best not to buy the ingredients for this dessert, but to make them yourself. To make homemade waffles and your own ice cream, you will need the following ingredients:

  • Flour - 120 g
  • Sugar - 75 g
  • Milk - 50 ml
  • Egg white - 1 pc.
  • Vanillin
  • Heavy cream - 4 tbsp.
  • Mascarpone - 3 tbsp.
  • Powdered sugar - 3 tbsp.
  • Gelatin - 2 tsp.
  • Lemon - 1 pc.

To prepare the dough, you need to beat the egg whites until they form an elastic foam. Add powdered sugar and vanilla to it, pour in milk, beat all the ingredients again. Flour is added last and the dough is beaten again. Place the finished mixture in the refrigerator for 2 hours. This must be done so that the tubes are elastic and do not crumble.

In order for the tubes to keep their shape, they must be placed in a finished frame. The usual form will not work for this. Therefore, make small cones out of thick paper and secure them on the sides. Here you will need to insert the finished tubes and leave them until they harden completely so that they do not lose their shape. Such a sugar tube will be very tender and will not crumble.

Once the dough has cooled, you can spread it onto a baking sheet in the form of scones. Bake each for 4 minutes. This will be enough to make golden circles. Take out the cakes and roll them into tubes, place them in the finished cones. Place the cones in the refrigerator for a while to cool and hold their shape.

To make ice cream, whip cream and powdered sugar and mix with mascarpone. Dilute the gelatin with water and let it swell. Add it to the prepared mixture. Mix well and place in the freezer until completely frozen. The sugar straw should have lemon crystals. To prepare them, take the zest and juice of 1 lemon. Place ingredients in a frying pan and heat until thickened.

When the caramel is ready, put it in the refrigerator. When it hardens, place it in a blender and grind. When the ice cream and each tube are well set, remove them from the refrigerator. Now you can fill each cone. Lemon crystals can be layered inside the waffle and sprinkled on top of the dessert. Decorate the treat with powdered sugar, chocolate, and coconut.

Waffle extravaganza

There are many ways to prepare waffles for desserts. Each of the recipes is good in its own way. After all, not only ice cream plays an important role in dessert. A sugar tube, tender, crispy and golden, is truly the highlight of an unforgettable delicacy. To prepare a delicious dessert you will need:

  • Butter - 200 g
  • Sugar - 75 g
  • Egg - 1 pc.
  • Sour cream - 150 g
  • Ammonium - ½ tsp.
  • Flour - 450 g
  • Dry yeast - 1 tsp.
  • Mascarpone - 500 g
  • Condensed milk - 180 g
  • Heavy cream - 250 ml
  • Chocolate - 50 g.

First of all, prepare the dough for the waffle rolls. Let the butter melt a little and beat it into a fluffy foam along with the sugar. Add sour cream, egg and ammonium to the mixture. The last ingredient is optional. If it is not available, then you can do without it. Continue stirring the mixture. Carefully add the yeast and flour to the mixture. Carefully add flour.

The dough should not be dense. It should be a homogeneous soft mass. She doesn't need to insist. Therefore, immediately after you have kneaded it, you can start creating cones. Roll out the dough into a thin pancake and cut into pieces.

You can use professional iron cone-shaped molds, or you can make your own from thick paper or cardboard. Wrap the molds tightly in the dough and place in the oven. You need to bake the horns at a temperature of 210 ° for 13-17 minutes. Once the cones are ready, cool them and remove them from the molds.
