What to eat in Warsaw. Food in Warsaw: what to try? where to eat? what is the price? Gastronomic tours in Warsaw

When planning a trip along the route Kyiv-Warsaw-Berlin, we tried to think everything through to the maximum. We had only six hours to Warsaw, but even these small hours we spent with benefit. We saw the main sights of the capital of Poland, talked with the locals. The Phrasebook of the Polish language, which we compiled at our leisure, helped us a lot. We also managed to visit restaurant " Kompania Piwna" or "Beer Company in the Old Town.

Having visited Warsaw, we got a lot of emotions. The key to this is our positive and good mood and, of course, a map of Warsaw, a plan of what to see, where to drink beer and where to eat the national cuisine of Poland.

Today we will talk about a popular restaurant in the very center of the Old Town of Warsaw - Podwale Kompania Piwna. We liked the restaurant for its colorful interior and inexpensive food. The second was very surprising. It would seem that, in the old town prices should bite, this is a tourist place and there are a lot of tourists, but the pub turned out to be an exception and we were very pleased, so now we are sharing information with you.

After a walk in the Saxon Park and a tour of the Old Town, we were pretty tired and decided that it was time to stop, drink beer and eat. Our choice fell on a pub at 25 Podwale Street called Podwale Kompania Piwna. The place was found in advance via the Internet.

The description states that the restaurant has a very interesting interior, delicious beer, and hearty and inexpensive cuisine. Seeing the sign " Company Piwna 25 "(landmark - arch with a truck inside) we were very happy. Opening hours from Mon - Sat 11:00 to 1:00 Sun 12:00 - 24:00. ul. Podwale 25 is very easy to find on the map or ask.The restaurant is locatedbetween the Little Rebel Monument and the Barbican.

This is an amazing place, which is difficult to get to because of the huge number of people who want to visit this beer establishment. Our advice: Come early or book a table in advance. There are halls both on the street, on the veranda, and in the room itself. " Podwale Kompania Piwna" completely stylized as a Czech pub. The interior is very decent, at the level, serving and waiters, respectively.

European and Polish cuisine, the menu is in Polish and English, so choose what you like! We preferred the Polish one, of course. We ordered the recommended dish and cherry tincture, plus beer)), if someone is stronger then Zubrovka or Sobieski.

We visited "Podwale Kompania Piwna" at lunchtimeThere were few people and our order was delivered on time. The dishes were, well, very large, just huge, everything offered to the table is satisfying, tasty and at reasonable prices. You feel "at ease".

And when you miss a mug or two of delicious beer or vodka, you start to feel at home here, and friends around you.

Meal in " Podwale Kompania Piwna" was the perfect ending to our tour of the Old Town of Warsaw. Simply put, a good place, great company, what else do you need for a fun weekend!

And yes, in the evenings there is live music and themed holidays, you can find out in advance on the official website www.podwale25.pl, they say in the evening there is a general breakdown of the brain. There will be a chance to go!

Summary. Podwale Kompania Piwna - h a cozy restaurant in the very center of historical Warsaw! Wonderful atmosphere and cuisine. We are very glad that we discovered this place where you can see the national color, have fun, have a drink and eat. We advise you and we will go ourselves when we are again in the Old Town of Warsaw!

Thanks for reading our blog. See you soon on the pages of our.

In a big city, we often face a gastronomic problem when we need to eat something, but there is no time. Eating on the go is not always a good idea. Firstly, because it is “on the go”, and secondly, it is usually something sweet or not very healthy: like chips or an unknown something in a box that pretends to be a sandwich. (But you and I know...) You don't always want to go to a restaurant to have a bite, and the prices in the restaurant can sometimes seem too high for a "snack". That's why people invented cafes. Sometimes they look like restaurants, and the cost of dishes in them is often appropriate. Sometimes we come across cafes about which we know nothing, and their appearance cannot tell us anything definite. And here doubts creep in. It's easier for the locals, they've already tried it, they know. Focusing just on their preferences, we have compiled a rating of places in Warsaw where you can have an inexpensive, healthy and tasty meal.

Pancake "Little Prince" (Mały książe)

Despite the fact that the center of Warsaw, which is popular with visitors, is quite far from here, the pancake shop is always popular. Not for nothing, because the variety of the local menu leaves few people indifferent. Add to this the cozy interior design, beautiful music and absolutely reasonable prices, and it becomes clear why the inhabitants of the Ursynow district love to drop in here for lunch so much. Yes Yes! Not only sweets are offered here. The assortment includes lunch and dessert pancakes. The owners of the establishment do not skimp on portions, and the price tag pleases. For example, a pancake with chicken and cheese will cost 17 PLN, with chocolate cream, strawberries and whipped cream - 14 PLN. The most expensive pancake will cost 25 zł.

Oh those Americanisms. But sometimes you can’t do without them: to write: “Establishment where they eat with their hands” or “Eating with their hands” is somehow long and still not to the point. Saves - "fingerfood". So. This is the very enterprise of catering with hands, offering a minimum of service - we will not find waiters and luxury amenities here - and a maximum of taste. Here the bet is made on taste and idea. The menu of the cafe has a wide selection of various healthy, and most importantly - delicious sandwiches and "wraps" (or twisters, as you like). The diner is located almost in the very center of Warsaw, in the building of the Warsaw Powiśle railway station. It was opened by two friends, and they are still involved in the process themselves, so they are personally responsible for the quality. To help them, they have two more friends and a team of delivery men who carry and deliver their sandwich delights to nearby cafes, business centers and other establishments whose employees want a quality meal. The guys put on the naturalness and freshness of the products and not replacing them with layers of mayonnaise, but exactly the opposite. That is why their sandwiches (oh no! There was finger food and some wraps, and now here are sandwiches! What happened to the food ...) are always popular with locals and knowledgeable people. Well, the price. It is very low by metropolitan standards, ranging from 5 to 8 zł for an average sandwich (here again! Why is it not a sandwich!). Against this background, 6 zł for a cappuccino looks like a robbery, but this impression is deceptive. This is also cheap by Warsaw standards, especially considering that . So for 15 zlotys you can eat quite well here. Even if you only have 10 zlotys in your pocket, this will be enough for freshly baked ciabatta and latte.

Where: Not far from the Museum of the Polish Army, in the building of the station Warsaw Powisle - Warszawa, ul. Smolna (but the building has no number). Reference point for the navigator: Smolna 9. Dom Kultury Śródmieście. If you stand behind the House of Culture, you can see two large white columns on both sides of the road. A cafe in a building with a pagoda roof near them.

It's not a mantra, it's not a spell, it's not even a battle cry in Devnechinese. This is a tribute to the fashion for Asian cuisine and the stylization of the description of how much they put you. Taką dużą michę dostałem...! (Such a large plate was given of everything that could not be eaten - something like that.)
In the last 25 years, the inhabitants of Poland have become more active than before to travel the world. And different nationalities, including the peoples of Asia, began to come to Poland in search of themselves and their place in life. This also affected the demand for traditional Asian gastronomic ideas. As a result, in the major cities of Poland there is no end to the proposals of Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai and other cuisines. Only here for the exotic often they want exotic money. That is, big ones. And this is not always consistent with the intentions to just eat deliciously. No. Not just a delicious meal, but something from Asia, but inexpensive. The authors of the idea of the Vietnamese restaurant Du-Za Mi-Ha saw this problem and offered their guests a good selection of delicious dishes at affordable prices. And besides, the portions are large, as the stylized name implies. It worked like neuro-linguistic programming (large portions, lots of goodies for little money), and people reached out to the restaurant to line up. It was then that the owners fell to solve the second problem - the problem of queues. Nothing to do, had to open branches. Whole two. All three are full of visitors at any time of the year. Varsovians love this place. If you look closely at the price-quality-quantity ratio, you can understand the origins of the love of the local and visiting public for this institution. Prices start from PLN 4 for a saigonka. (By the way, for many, Warsaw is the place where they first tried saigonki. The reason for this is the large number of Vietnamese in the capital of Poland. One large Warsaw market is generally chosen by the Vietnamese. In Warsaw they are called chińczycy - the Chinese, that is. I used to visit Moscow at the Cherkizovsky market, I remember that there were also Vietnamese and Saigon women there, but eating it at Cherkizovsky seemed like an act of kamikaze, and in Warsaw eating it doesn’t seem like such an act... Well, people won’t do bad things for themselves. The Vietnamese are trying for themselves and as for themselves). More serious dishes than the stuffed pancake described above start from 11 zł. For example, a large plate of rice fried with spices and shrimp will cost 17 zlotys, the same rice with crispy fried onions and chicken - 15 zlotys, sauces for dishes are free here.

Shawarma, Shawarma, Shawarma - what is the right way? The eternal dispute about the intricacies of the name of meat wrapped in equally thin bread is irrelevant in the capital of Poland. Here this dish is called kebab. Or rather, kebap. The Polonized name of late, however, still returns to kebab, but this does not change the essence. It has become so firmly established in the non-domestic diet of many Poles that it is time to recognize it as a national Polish dish. Although this is an exaggeration, but the love for kebab in Poland is not to be occupied. Many Varsovians, with all the abundance of shawarma on their streets, prefer the one that is made in the cafe-restaurant Ephesus. The menu of this catering establishment has various dishes of oriental cuisine, in particular, Turkish. Shawarma does not seem to play a central role here. But this is only at first glance. The second glance (at the window showing meat wrapped in pita bread or a bun) dispels illusions. There is simply no end to those who want to taste the popular Arabic dishes. The main weapon of the shawarma is the quality of the product and its price. It varies depending on the filling and size of the roll or lavash that makes up the Warsaw kebab No. 1 - from 11 to 23 zł. So those who, as a tradition, try shawarma kebabs and doner kebabs in every city they visit (even the author has such acquaintances), you need to go here.

It is useful, because these guys have staked on the naturalness of the products, and locally, because all these natural products are taken from local farmers. And don't let the fact that this is Warsaw fool you. There are farmers everywhere in Poland. Where the city ends, the village begins. No area for you with big cities and uncultivated fields. Why, even if you can go to the forest for mushrooms without leaving the capital. Warsaw is full of large agricultural enterprises that supply the city with food. As it should be in the norm. But among the manufacturers there are those who follow their products with special care. This is a small business in the face of private family farms. They also supply products to the restaurant we are describing. True, many are accustomed to the fact that everything that is natural should be expensive. This stereotype does not work here. With all the abundance of dishes from regional eco-products, their prices do not bite. Otherwise, they would not have been included in this article. We are talking about where to eat cheaply. The menu of the restaurant-bar also includes very affordable breakfasts from local eggs, bio-muesli, bio-sandwiches and hearty dinners from pasta, pancakes and dumplings. For a plate of pasta here they will ask for 18 zlotys. For tortillas - 15 zł, for the dumplings already mentioned - 14 zł.

Bon appetit to you on the streets of the capital of Poland!

My name is Ilya, I moved to Poland 3 years ago. In this series of articles, I will talk about what the average student faces after moving to Warsaw. In each part devoted to a separate topic (transport, food, fines, museums), I will try to cover the capital from the position of a Ukrainian student, give some useful tips (developed through trial and error) and, of course, state all this as concisely, interestingly as possible. and objectively. Feel free to express your opinion about this experiment in the comments.

In Abraham Maslow's Pyramid of Needs, food, along with basic physiological needs, comes first. Therefore, making a pilot issue about ways to quickly and inexpensively eat in the capital of Poland looks like a great idea. I’ll note right away that only a small part of the tips below applies exclusively to Warsaw, so if you are from another city, do not rush to close this page - I’m sure I will find something to surprise you with.

Let's start with the most common way to eat in Poland:

Kebab

A Turkish dish so popular in the CIS countries, the notorious shawarma (or shawarma, if you like) occupies a leading position in popularity among the population of the capital of Poland. There are simply an incredible number of restaurants serving kebabs, and this inevitably reflects on the average quality of the product. In this matter, it is necessary to be guided by the same principles as when choosing shawarma: avoid small stalls, pay attention to sanitary conditions (at least in the hall, if the kitchen is closed) and, of course, take into account the number of visitors. The Kebab King, Amrit Kebab, Efes Kebab restaurant chains enjoy the greatest distrust among Warsaw residents. The price of an average check rarely exceeds 20-25 zł, which does not hurt your pocket too much.

Advice: almost every restaurant of this type (valid for large chains) provides a student discount of 10-20%.

Fast food restaurants

Sociologists often refer to our generation as "fast food kids." If for the countries of North America this definition has been relevant for more than two decades, then Europe has joined this specific club relatively recently. Fast service, low cost (relative to restaurant food, of course) and unchanged taste attract both students and mature people who want to save their own time and save energy (or, simply, who do not know how to cook - to be honest, this also happens).

Whatever your reasons for looking for a quick bite, fast food restaurants seem like the most obvious choice. In Poland, the "traditional line" of fast foods is represented by five restaurants: the emperor of the KFC chicken market, his half-brother, reigning in the market of the most popular Italian dish Pizza Hut, familiar, firsthand, to every inhabitant of the post-Soviet space Macdonalds, lovers of frying cutlets on an open flame Burger King, and a company that offers you to assemble a sandwich with someone else's hands - Subway. Each of these firms has more than three dozen restaurants throughout Warsaw. You can easily find them in the "food zone" of almost every shopping center.

Everyone has different taste preferences, so I will not advise and, even more so, paint the assortment of each restaurant. Let me just say that the main trinity is constantly fighting for customers, issuing more and more new coupons that allow you to save up to 30%. In addition to the list available on the official website of the restaurant (yes, the one that knocks out when connected to Wi-Fi), a huge number of applications are available in the Play Market that regularly update these same coupons. Don't miss the opportunity to get a free sandwich, which companies will gladly give you in exchange for your opinion about the company. Such social projects are held from one to three times a year (the frequency depends on the company).

As for Pizza Hut, they are waging their “holy war” with other pizzerias according to their own laws, so their discounts are of a slightly different nature and will allow you to save money on a large order (at least two pizzas).

Subway (by the way, this is the most popular fast food chain in the world) has its own opinion about discounts and this position very rarely offers the buyer a wider choice than between two favorite sandwiches.

Two solutions close the top three in terms of accessibility:

"Cooking in large supermarkets" and "Food by weight"

As far as culinary is concerned, the width of the range depends on the supermarket, but Tesco provides the most choice (and, in my opinion, the convenience of the location). Right behind him is Aushan and in last place is Carefor. There is not much to discuss here - the same choice of dishes as in the traditional culinary corner: the obligatory baked chicken plus a few more types of main course and 2-3 side dishes to choose from.

Much more interesting things are with food by weight. Restaurants of this type are present in every food zone of the mall, it is more difficult to find them in the city, but rest assured - they exist (you just need to ask Google to find them for you). Here everything is tripled as simple as possible: a fixed price is set for 100 grams of any product from the open buffet (drinks and most desserts are sold separately at their own price), payment is made after you collect all the culinary delights you like on your plate and weigh this miracle on checkout. Such restaurants often offer a more varied and healthy range of dishes than the ones listed above, but this also affects the average check of 30-40 zlotys.

Advice: for restaurants of this type it is very important to sell out their entire assortment before closing, therefore, in the last hours of work, discounts on dishes can reach 50%. It is worth bearing in mind that the desire to save money, in this way, can greatly affect the width of the choice. In the end, such a policy of public catering has many admirers. In addition, in the style of kebabs, restaurants by weight provide students with discounts of up to 20% at any time. In addition to the banal advice to count your own appetite and not be led by hunger, I would advise limiting the side dish to a minimum (when meat is the same price as potatoes, the choice is obvious).

Finally, the least common, but incredibly popular way of eating on a budget is chain restaurantsmanekin. There are only two of these in Warsaw, one of which is located in the very center, on Marszalkowska, it is easy to spot it from the long line stretching from the front door. If you have a desire to try real Polish cuisine without breaking a tangible hole in your budget, then you are here. The average check here will be 40-60 zlotys (a more modest lunch can fit into 20-25). Due to the high wait time for a table, the relatively high cost of lunch (as well as its quality), and the low prevalence of the chain's restaurants, Manekin ranks so low on this list. Why is he even here if we are talking about affordable ways to eat in Warsaw?

No matter how much a person cares about his own wallet, the desire to try the traditional cuisine of the country, no, no, yes, it arises. The most popular in this area is a chain of restaurants Zapiecek, however, the prices there, in my opinion, are unreasonably high, so manekin looks like a better alternative.

Advice: The restaurant on Marshalkovskaya is simply incredibly popular due to its very favorable location. If you wish to save some of your time, I advise you to choose Manekin in Constitution Square. Also, in the morning until 13:00, there is either no queue at all, or it is reduced to a minimum (this does not apply to Saturday).

Separately, I would like to take out the restaurants USzwejka And Baziliszek, which, like Manekin, are not an “every day” choice, but remain an excellent option in terms of price / quality for “going out” (the card of dishes and drinks of the day will help you reduce the bill by up to 50%).

Advice: for some reason, both of these restaurants are extremely negative about the Master Card, accepting payment only with Visa. I advise you to take this into account if you decide to visit these institutions. I also recommend that you first familiarize yourself with the list of special offers for each day on the restaurant website, and based on this, plan your visit.

This concludes the “pilot issue” of the Warsaw student's notes. I hope that you could learn something new from my experience. Feel free to suggest your own options for delicious and inexpensive meals in Poland in the comments!

Warsaw is a city of slightly less than 2,000,000 inhabitants, spread over both sides of the river on which it was founded, and has 9 bridges. Here you can meet homeless people and young businessmen, gopniks and hipsters calmly walking along the street. What remains from Soviet times, and ultra-modern new buildings can easily be located next to chic estates from pre-Soviet times or Sukharevka / Malinovka buildings. And even between them. According to most, Warsaw is nothing more than the most ordinary city in Europe. Just think, a few long and detailed sights and a whole bunch of shops! But this very majority is mistaken: Warsaw has its own unique atmosphere, lives according to its own rhythm of life, it has its own history. In recent years, this city has become more like a German capital. All new and diverse catering points created in the German style begin their work here.

You can kill a worm with a minimum investment of time here, mainly with kebabs. The most popular among their points of sale - king kebab, located on Aleje Jerozolimskie 42. This is something like the local counterpart of McDonald's: good speed of getting food, not disgusting, you can eat at any time of the day or night.

Nearby, literally turning the corner, you can see another kebab house, which is on the list of the oldest in the city - this Sachara, it is located at: Krucza 51. The price of a sandwich here also includes Turkish tea with cinnamon. Here you can also order some kind of salad, baklava, vegetarian falafel with hummus, but all this is complemented by a hookah.

Another good kebab Makarun, which operates non-stop overnight, is located on Rondo Waszyngtona. In the warm season, the place is not overcrowded because of the heaps of people, and almost everyone here dreams of only one thing: to eat as soon as possible. They come from the local beach. In the summer, it becomes something of a club of interests.

You can always taste Polish cuisine in restaurants of the chain Zapiecek. Its establishments can be found throughout Warsaw, so at least one will definitely catch your eye while walking. Here, the excellent quality of food is combined with a fairly low cost of payment, and here you can also easily feel the flavor of Poland. Pretty-looking waitresses also work in these restaurants, and their uniforms are national costumes, which are the same property of the Polish people as the most nutritious pierogi.

Not so long ago, the so-called “milky bars”, in other words, simply canteens, came into fashion in the capital of Poland. They willingly eat both people of below average income, and just people who want to fill their stomachs with not too expensive food.

Among all the "milky bars" of Warsaw, the most famous is Prasowy. Having experienced many changes, he began to feed visitors at Marszałkowska 10/16. This dining room is not only a catering point, it is also a place for many other events such as exhibitions, concerts, chess games and the like.

Dining room Bambino, which is located on Krucza 21, is known as one of the highest quality in the Polish capital. Anyone eats in it - even women in demolition, even movie stars. The reason for such a frenzied popularity lies in the low prices and high taste of the dishes. It serves simple, tasty and satisfying food: pancakes, meat, soups and the like.

And if you prefer a combination of hardcore with authenticity, we offer you a catering chain Mleczarnia Jerozolimska. Here you can feel the spirit of the Polish People's Republic - here are the old people, and long lines, and the ultra-low cost of food, combined with high taste.

Public catering is rapidly developing in the Polish capital, new cafes, restaurants, canteens are constantly opening. The growth of the collection of restaurants, bars, cafes and the like can be compared with the growth of Mongolia, when Genghis Khan annexed land to it. Local residents are increasingly sweeping from the shelves of shops and from the tables of bars and restaurants any food they can find here.

Falafel Beirut, located on Senatorska 40. In the old days, it was nothing worth paying attention to, but today it is a kiosk in the city center. Here you can buy many different types of fresh falafel, the most diverse hummus.

Vietnamese restaurant Au Lac, which is located on Chmielna 10. Here you can easily eat cheaply, densely and a lot. The menu includes, for example, soup Pho. This is a classic Vietnamese chowder with a mouth-watering flavor, served with rice noodles, soy and cilantro sprouts, and bits of what vegans eat instead of meat.

There are many other establishments where you can treat yourself to falafel, shashuk, a wide variety of pastes - pepper, made from peas or using eggplant:

  • Hummus bar on st. Zelazna 64
  • Mezze Falafel on st. Rozana
  • bekef on st. Hoza 40
  • LafLaf on the famous st. Marshalkovskaya, 68/70.

This is a list of establishments where vegetarians, vegans, raw foodists can eat their fill of the most delicious food inexpensively.

Although Chinczyk in translation means "Chinese", the chain, named so, serves dishes exclusively Vietnamese. This network is huge: there is at least one of its points on every square kilometer. This country has a large Vietnamese diaspora, which significantly affects the food tastes of local residents. You pay some twelve or fifteen zlotys and eat yourself to your heart's content with delicious delicacies, and with absolutely no risk of poisoning, which has been confirmed many times by the Poles in practice.

Momencik, standing on Poznańska 16. Here you can taste a variety of vegetable burritos, also nachos, vegan sweets, gazpacho, tea, coffee, lemonade, fresh juices are served here from drinks.

There is also a canteen that does not serve animal products: Loving Hut on Waryńskiego 3.

"Tel Aviv", located at Poznańska 11, is a very high quality vegetarian restaurant in the center of Warsaw. A whole bunch of Jewish-invented snacks: soy lattes, vegetable hot dishes, and many others. Other delicacies from the Middle East are also served here, as well as excellent high-quality wine.

The latter, however, are also in the cafe menu. Jamniczek on st. Marshalkovskaya 68/70.

Vegan Pizza on Poznańska 7 is a point where you can buy pizza with vegan animal food substitutes. Two zlotys more expensive is the same pizza, but with gluten-free dough.

Here are some other vegan restaurants:

  • Chwast food on st. Waryńskiego 9
  • Dolce & Vegan on st. Francuska 12a
  • Veg Deli on st. Radna 14
  • Local Vegan Bistro on st. Crucza 23/31

According to fans of South Asian cuisine, the restaurant chain Du-za Mi-cha is a good exception among Vietnam food bars. It has the reputation of being the first real Vietnamese restaurant in Warsaw. By the way, this network operates around the clock.

Not so long ago, hamburgers began to gain wild popularity in the Polish capital. In Warsaw, dozens of outlets were opened where you can buy a dish that basically has two hundred grams of real and high-quality beef. The largest network is Bobby Burger. Still very tempting meat sandwiches in a variety of options are sold in the following establishments:

  • queen burger on st. Hola 1a
  • barn burger on st. Zlota 9
  • warburger in Puławska / Dąbrowskiego
  • Między Bulkami on st. Aleje Jerozolimskie 23
  • Aioli on st. Świętokrzyska 18
  • Bydlo i Powidlo on st. Kolejowej 47

By the way in Bydlo i Powidlo there is also the opportunity to enjoy a good steak.

At the vegan bar Krowarzywa you can eat beetroot, lentil and similar cutlets.

Latawiec on Armii Ludowej 12 is a Berlin-style establishment where you can easily relax and have a bite to eat dishes of cuisines from different regions, as well as seafood or vegan food.

Okienko. Here, in this seemingly ordinary window, many different dishes will be prepared without any problems.

And at the points from this list, dishes from natural meat, and not its substitutes, will be prepared:

  • Mąka i woda on st. Chmielna 13
  • Na lato on st. Rozbrat 44
  • "Trattoria Arugula" at Miodowa 1, Krucza 6/14 and Francuska 6.

It may seem that buying pasta in this city is a waste of money, but even this rule has a certain exception. This very exception is called Dziurka od klucza, and it stands on Radna 13. Moreover, it is a small restaurant in which hands, using tables, rolling pins and other kitchen utensils, roll and cut pasta, sculpt ravioli. The menu here often changes, but what always remains is pasta seasoned with black pasta, as well as seafood. Well, wine is allowed here and brought if you don’t want to buy it on the spot.

Japanese cuisine is no less popular among local lovers of a lot of delicious food, dishes of which can be found in the restaurant Uki-Uki located on st. Crucza 23/31. Here you can taste sushi or bonito rolls, try sashimi, order udon noodles in fish broth or traditional Japanese ramen noodle soup and the like that can be found in Japan.

Dim sum steamed dumplings, made according to a recipe developed in China, are recommended to try in the following places:

  • totu— Nieklańska 33, paw.11, Saska Kępa
  • Parnik– Wolska 50a, Chmielna 98
  • Pelnl Parl— Sienna 76
  • Harbinskie pierożki— Al. Wilanowska 363, lok. 45.

As for the street food in this city, it is perhaps worth talking about it separately. Food vans are scattered throughout Warsaw. Here you can buy dishes of any cuisine - at least local, at least some other country.

MOMU on Wierzbowa 9/11 is an institution where you can find a lot of the most unexpected food. Here they experiment very boldly with any, even the simplest dishes, thanks to which you can get new, original and unusual taste sensations.

IN Butchery&Wine at 22 Żurawia they serve a lot of the most selected meat, and you can also order high-quality wine with it. Warning: it's a bit pricey here.

Kameralna on Kopernika 3 is a traditional Polish restaurant. Well suited for making friends with the parents of the future second half.

Pędzący Krolik on Moliera 8. Here, in a quiet, nice restaurant, the menu has nutritious dishes, which, at the same time, are prepared in a fairly short time. It is recommended to visit during lunch: during these hours, prices are lower and portions are larger.

Expensive but very chic restaurant Warszawa Wschodnia at Mińska 25. It is located in a building that used to be part of a factory in earlier times. Therefore, there are such high ceilings, so much free space, from there is an open kitchen, rather big floor windows. Expensive but luxurious. Doesn't close at night.

Dawne Smaki. Polish restaurant with exquisitely polite staff, garden. Though it's probably not that cheap either.

A lot of tourists prefer to eat mainly in fast foods, as it is fast and not so expensive. But it is not at all necessary to eat only fast food, especially if you do not like it, and there is not much money left. In Warsaw, there are a large number of places where you can have a delicious meal, while spending no more than 20 zł.

To visit Warsaw and not to know the local cuisine is wrong. Even without spending a lot of money on food, you can get acquainted with traditional Polish dishes, you just need to know the right places, which we will talk about in this article.
